A voice appeared behind him.

"Too slow."

Zayen reappeared in a flash of golden light, both blades already descending toward Ragnar’s back.

Without giving Ragnar a single mont to react, Zayen surged forward like a golden cot, wings beating furiously as both blades cut through the air.

CLANG!

The Blacksteel Katana and Crimson Eclipse struck Ragnar’s massive hamr from an unexpected angle, the force of the blow sending a violent shockwave tearing through the storm-filled sky.

Ragnar struggled to maintain his balance, lightning crackling wildly along his arms and hamr, but Zayen’s speed and precision were unmatched.

"Impossible!" Ragnar roared, but before he could fully recover, Zayen struck again—this ti with a sweeping slash aid at his torso.

The golden light from Zayen’s blades burned like sunlight eting thunder. The impact of the strike slamd Ragnar downward, his body crashing toward the shattered plaza below with a deafening sound.

BOOM!

Stone and rubble exploded around him as he hit the ground, creating a massive crater. Lightning hissed and dissipated into the air as Ragnar struggled to rise, his hamr buried slightly in the cracked stone beneath him.

Zayen hovered above, wings spread wide, calm and poised, looking down at Ragnar with an almost predatory gaze.

"Hand over the crystal... or die," Zayen said quietly, his voice cutting through the roaring winds and fading storm.

Ragnar’s chest heaved, sparks of lightning dancing across his skin as he glared up at Zayen.

"Hand over the crystal... or die," Zayen said quietly, his voice cutting through the roaring winds and fading storm.

Ragnar’s chest heaved, sparks of lightning dancing across his skin as he glared up at Zayen.

"Huh... do you really think I’ll just hand over the Primordial Star Core Fragnt like that?" he sneered.

"Then prepare to die."

Without another word, Zayen’s eyes glinted with cold precision.

"[Sovereign’s Execution.]"

Golden energy surged along the Blacksteel Katana, spiraling into a crescent-shaped blade of pure destructive force. The air around it distorted, trembling under the imnse spiritual energy condensed within the strike.

Ragnar’s eyes widened as he realized the magnitude of what was coming. He raised his hamr, lightning crackling along its surface, but his injuries slowed him. His legs trembled beneath him, barely able to support his weight.

Zayen’s crescent slash descended in a perfect arc. The force of it was overwhelming—enough to shatter stone, break through defenses, and disrupt energy barriers.

BOOM!

The blade struck Ragnar’s hamr and body simultaneously. A massive shockwave exploded outward, tearing up the shattered plaza and sending dust and rubble flying in every direction. Ragnar was lifted off his feet, his massive form slamd violently into the cracked ground, leaving a crater smoking in the aftermath.

Even the lightning clinging to Ragnar hissed and scattered as if repelled by the raw destructive energy. The sheer power of the strike left him stunned, struggling to rise, while the golden crescent still hovered faintly in the air, vibrating with residual energy.

Zayen’s wings folded gracefully as he descended. With a soft thud, his boots touched the cracked stone of the shattered plaza. Dust rose around him, but he remained perfectly composed, his posture calm and collected.

Ragnar groaned, struggling to rise from the crater Zayen had left him in. His massive hamr slipped slightly from his grasp, leaving him montarily exposed.

Before Ragnar could react, Zayen suddenly moved.

In an instant, Zayen appeared right in front of him. A powerful hand shot forward and grabbed Ragnar by the neck.

Boom!

Zayen slamd him fiercely onto the ground. The entire ruin trembled as a terrifying roar echoed through the area.

Without giving him a mont to breathe, Zayen lifted him up again and smashed him into the ground once more.

Boom

Dust and shattered stones exploded everywhere.

Then Zayen raised him again and drove a powerful punch into Ragnar’s stomach.

Bang!

The impact sent Ragnar flying backward like a broken kite.

Ragnar had just felt a violent wave of backlash surge through his entire body when Zayen’s figure flickered again, instantly crossing the distance between them.

In the blink of an eye, Zayen grabbed his neck once more and slamd him down onto the ruins.

Boom!

Ragnar’s head was driven nearly three ters into the ground, forming a terrifying crater several zhang wide.

If Zayen had struck with his full strength, Ragnar’s head would have likely been obliterated instantly.

Clearly, Zayen had held back.

This was rely a lesson.

"Thud! Thud! Thud!"

A storm of fist shadows rained down toward Ragnar’s face.

Ragnar only felt streams of terrifying fists making intimate contact with his face.

Each blow landed with crushing force.

He couldn’t fight back at all.

All he could do was endure the relentless barrage and the prolonged agony that ca with it.

Only after the ti it took for an incense stick to burn did Zayen finally stop his attack.

By then, Ragnar felt his head had swollen to an abnormal size.

Bang!

Zayen kicked Ragnar straight into a nearby wall, pinning him firmly in place with his foot.

"Ugh... cough, cough ..."

Blood welled up from Ragnar’s mouth as he coughed violently. His face turned pale as he looked up at Zayen, fear flickering in his eyes.

Zayen raised his leg and slamd it down onto Ragnar’s face.

Bang!

But he didn’t stop there. He lifted his leg again and brought it crashing down once more.

Bang!

Zayen continued stomping down rcilessly, his foot slamming into Ragnar’s face again and again.

"Stop hitting! Stop hitting! I’ll give it to you!"

Ragnar was finally scared. Using all his remaining strength, he roared loudly.

The intense pain surging through his body made his face twist ferociously. He felt like he was about to die and nearly passed out several tis.

This guy was truly ruthless!

Ragnar could even feel that his skull had cracked. He no longer had the will to continue fighting Zayen. All he wanted now was to escape this place as quickly as possible and find sowhere safe to check his injuries.

Zayen finally stopped.

Looking down at Ragnar coldly, he said, "Why go through all this trouble? If you had just handed over the crystal earlier, none of this would have happened."

"You insisted on taking a beating. Now hurry up and hand it over."

Ragnar gritted his teeth. "Fine... fine! I’ll give it to you!"

Ragnar gritted his teeth as he slowly raised a trembling hand.

A faint flash of light flickered. The next mont, a blue crystal fragnt appeared in his palm.

Ragnar’s face twisted with reluctance as he held it out.

"Take it..." he said through clenched teeth.

Zayen glanced at the fragnt indifferently.

With a casual motion, he reached out and took it from Ragnar’s hand.

The mont it entered his palm, the Primordial Star Core Fragnt began to react.

It slowly floated above his hand.

At the sa ti, the other fragnt inside Zayen’s storage ring suddenly flew out on its own, as if drawn by an invisible force.

The two fragnts hovered in the air, emitting faint starry light.

They began to circle each other slowly, orbiting one another for a brief mont.

Then—

A bright flash erupted. The two fragnts rged together, condensing into a brighter and denser core of radiant light.

A faint smile curved on Zayen’s lips.

With a light wave of his hand, the radiant core flickered and vanished, quietly returning to his storage ring.

anwhile, Ragnar lowered his head, humiliation burning in his chest. He had worked so hard to obtain this fragnt...

Only for it to be taken away so easily.

Ragnar stared at the scene with wide eyes.

His mind went completely blank.

"The fragnts... rged?"

His voice trembled slightly.

He had spent so much effort just to obtain a single Primordial Star Core Fragnt, yet the mont it reached Zayen’s hands, another fragnt had appeared and rged with it.

Ragnar’s heart sank. Just how many fragnts did this guy have?

Seeing the stunned expression on Ragnar’s face, Zayen almost laughed out loud. He didn’t bother saying another word. Turning around, he flapped his wings.

Whoosh!

His figure instantly transford into a streak of golden light as he shot into the sky and flew toward the distance, disappearing from the ruins in the blink of an eye.

Ragnar stood there for a long ti, staring at the sky where the streak of golden light had disappeared.

Ragnar slowly wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, his hands still trembling slightly.

The strength Zayen had just displayed was simply terrifying.

Not only had he been completely suppressed in the fight, but the man had also taken his Primordial Star Core Fragnt.

And judging from what Ragnar had just seen

Zayen already possessed another fragnt before this one.

With that thought in mind, Ragnar quickly waved his hand.

The hamr flew back through the air and landed firmly in his grasp.

He looked in the direction Zayen had flown for a few seconds, his expression complicated.

Then lightning suddenly gathered around his body.

Crack! Crack!

Bolts of electricity danced across his body as his figure shot into the sky.

However, instead of following Zayen, Ragnar turned and flew toward a completely different direction, quickly disappearing into the distant ruins.
