Chapter 988: Chapter 379: The Ti You Chose
“Absolute Sword—That’s what I call that Elf.”
This was the gift the young man, or rather, the boy initially received from within the colorful gemstone.
“Elf?” The Hero propped his elbow on his knee, resting his chin in his hand.
“Yes, the Spirit of Void.”
“Isn’t that an Elf that exists only in theory and cannot be observed?” The Hero was startled for a mont, his lips slightly parted.
“Theoretically, yes.” The young man nodded, “But if you insist, I am not exactly a ‘real’ entity, so in your world, such a gift might not exist.
“In any case, within the brief special vision granted by the colorful gemstone, I indeed ford a contract with a Void Elf.”
The Void Elf, also known as the Anti-Elf.
Where matter and magic elents coexist, there is no place in the world it does not reach; all life possesses so magic power to a greater or lesser extent.
But conversely, does a ‘vacuum field’ exist, devoid of any matter and life, filled with pure magic elents?
Theoretically, during an enormous magic power conflict, the structure of the world temporarily breaks creating a gap, and that vacuum where no elents exist can be created.
The Elves ford by the magic elents in that vacuum are the Void Elves.
Mages believe this vacuum is not just a phenonon, but a Spirit of Annihilation born to restore order when magic power expands greatly.
Like a sliding puzzle, without leaving one space empty, nothing can move.
Yet even the highest Mage Tower of the Kingdom cannot create such a vacuum environnt to observe it.
Or even if it is created, it cannot be observed because it is the opposite of the world, a place beyond the sight of life.
Thus, the Spirit of Void beca an Elf that exists only in theory.
“Absolute Sword is an Elf that does not grow and driving it requires imnse magic power.” The young man continued.
“Back when I was close to the Third Ascension, I used all my might and could only expand it to…” He raised a pinky finger.
“A finger?” The Hero tilted his head.
“The fingernail.”
“That’s all?” The Depraved Hero chuckled.
“Hehe, it’s enough to kill Goblins; besides, it is indeed very powerful.” The young man smiled.
“Wherever it touches, any magic or matter, even concepts, it can annihilate them equally.
“To use its power more efficiently, I attach Absolute Sword to the tip of my sword and then perform high-speed thrusts.” The young man raised his hand, assuming a stance.
Though empty-handed, the Hero felt a sharpness that pierced between his brows.
[Special Skill: Absolute Sword: Infuse the Spirit of Void onto the tip of a sword, delivering defense-ignoring destructive damage with ultra-fast thrusts. Chance of instant death.]
“That absurd?” The Depraved Hero’s attitude shifted, clicking his tongue, “You wouldn’t be the first one in history with this ability, would you?”
“Probably… not.” Surprisingly, the young man shook his head.
“The library of the Knowledge Hunters has records.” Said the Hero, who often reads books in his leisure ti, picking up the conversation, “The essence of the Elf Rabbit is the World Spirit, so the gifts in colorful gemstones are records of the past.”
This implies only the information that once appeared and was morized by nearby Spirits of Nature may be granted again through the colorful gemstone.
Phoenixes certainly existed; as for the Spirit of Void, although there is no precise record in books, the mysteries of the world are as nurous as the stars in the sea, and Knowledge Hunters cannot record them all.
“And the origin of Absolute Sword, I also learned shortly after.” The young man continued.
“After the Noble Lady recovered in the countryside, she invited to the Border to accompany her, knowing my goal as a Hero. Concerned for her encountering another accident, I agreed to accompany her.
“At the Border, the Count hosted warmly, even sparing the Sergeant so ti to instruct for a while…”
Reflecting on that ti, the faces of both male and female Heroes were gently smiling.
“After she returned to the Capital for her studies, I stayed at the Border to continue. During that ti, I accepted military training and took on Goblin extermination missions…
“Before long, I surpassed the Second Transformation and underwent the Magician Awaken ceremony, becoming a real Elf Sword Master.”
A bit luckier than others, and more diligent than others…
After enduring a painful loss, the young man grew rapidly as a Swordsman and an Adventurer at the Border.
“Then, during a Goblin clearing operation, I accidentally discovered human traces in their lair, not the captured kind.”
“Sect Followers.” Firmly imrsing herself in the young man’s experiences, the Hero affird softly.
“That’s right, while frequently moving in and out of the highland for the Goblin suppression, I accidentally discovered those Cultists plotting sothing.”
“Tsk…” The Depraved Hero’s expression soured aside, humming and hawing as if wanting to say sothing yet stopping short.
The Hero found her reaction amusing, yet intendedly showed no consideration for her sentints, indicating the young man to continue.
“Upon deeper investigation, I discovered they were hunting a Fantasy Species, specifically the White Snake.
“When the Noble Lady communicated with the White Snake, she acquired so intelligence from her at that ti, you should be aware of the general content of that intelligence, right?”
The Hero nodded.
A Great Demon slumbers beneath the volcano, and Sister White Snake left the highland to seek materials to reinforce the sealing.
