Palr and his group had an extrely smug expression on their faces, as they knew that Connor's strength was largely attributed to the Chi Recieving Pill.

Without it, he would be just an ordinary martial artist. This gave Wadi a slightly higher chance of winning.

Connor continued walking up the mountain path. The reason he chose to give up the Chi Recieving Pill was simple. He understood that this battle didn't just represent himself; it represented the martial artists of the continent and even the Purple Cloud Sect.

He believed that no matter the outco, he should maintain his dignity. He didn't want others to think that he defeated Wadi solely because of the Chi Recieving Pill, or that he still lost to Wadi even after taking the pills.

Such a situation would bring sha to the martial artists of the continent, to the Purple Cloud Sect, and even to Jorge.

However, without the pill, his chances of winning might significantly decrease.

Yet, he still showed no intention of backing down. He continued moving forward step by step towards the mountaintop.

The martial artists at the foot of the mountain seed to have learned about Connor's decision to give up the Chi Recieving Pill. At this mont, they were all very concerned for Connor.

After an unknown amount of ti, he finally reached the mountaintop.

At the summit sat a young man. He had an exceptionally handso appearance, although his skin was slightly tanned. His eyes held a resolute glint, and his physique was well-proportioned, giving off a sense of strength without any bulkiness, likely due to years of training.

As Connor's footsteps were heard, the young man slowly opened his eyes. After scrutinizing Connor from top to bottom, he asked in a soft voice, "You're Connor?"

"Yes, that's ."

Connor nodded lightly.

"I thought you wouldn't show up today, but you actually ca after all!"

The young man stood up slowly, observing Connor.

"Since I've agreed to the duel, there's no reason for not to co!"

Connor replied without expression.

"You've disappointed a bit!"

The young man suddenly spoke.

"Disappointed?"

Connor was montarily surprised by Wadi's words, then calmly asked, "Why disappointed?"

"Because you're much more ordinary than I imagined. There's a big difference between you and what I had in mind."

Wadi straightforwardly remarked.

"I'm sorry for being so ordinary. I've always been this way, and I can't change that."

Connor smiled helplessly.

Wadi sized him up once again before saying softly, "You're rely an advanced Yellow-Rank warrior. Without the Chi Recieving Pill, you're no match for . I wonder whether you're brave or just foolish. Despite knowing you're destined to lose, you still ca to fight."

"How do you know I'm destined to lose today?"

Connor asked with a chuckle.

"Because you have no chance of defeating !" he replied coldly.

Connor and Wadi stood at the pinnacle of Spring Mountain.

The lights below illuminated the area, just as Chieko had described. Standing on the mountaintop, one could overlook the entire Honduria, giving the sensation of having the whole city beneath their feet.

Connor squinted at the scenery below, his expression unusually calm.

Wadi, on the other hand, seed sowhat dissatisfied with his opponent. He couldn't perceive any strength in Connor that would make him a worthy opponent.

"I still need to thank you!"

Just at that mont, Wadi spoke again.

"Thank ?"

Connor was montarily puzzled by Wadi's words. He asked in a slightly puzzled tone, "Why would you thank ?"

"Because my grandfather lost to your master back then. This incident beca his nightmare, sothing he couldn't accept. So, he's been in seclusion cultivating. At that ti, I also lost my freedom. I faced training that ordinary people can't even imagine every day. My grandfather was extrely strict with , to an unimaginable extent. I've long grown tired of that life. I wanted to be like an ordinary person, but my grandfather never allowed to leave him..."

Wadi paused for a mont before continuing, "But now you've appeared. I can finally leave the mountains. If I can defeat you today, my grandfather's nightmare might disappear. Then, I'll regain my freedom..."

"I didn't expect you to be quite pitiful..."

Connor laughed and said to Wadi.

"Compared to you all, the things I've experienced are so miserable. But it's these horrendous experiences that have shaped who I am today. That's why I won't lose today!"

Wadi shouted in a low voice.

"Indeed, your situation is quite miserable. However, I think you might need to continue being miserable, because you can't win against today!"

Connor said calmly.

"Connor, now that you don't have the Chi Recieving Pill, what gives you the audacity to be so arrogant?"

Wadi seed a bit puzzled.

"Just my determination not to lose today!"

Connor replied.

Upon hearing his words, Wadi couldn't help but burst into laughter. Then, she looked at Connor and said, "Connor, oh Connor, you're truly too arrogant. The world doesn't revolve around you. I've checked your information. I know you're wealthy, but in the world of martial artists, strength is paramount. Money doesn't hold sway!"

"Enough with your nonsense. Are you going to fight or not?"

Connor seed a bit annoyed as he asked Wadi.

"Alright, today I'll show you how capable I am!"

Wadi's expression seed disdainful. He charged straight towards Connor's position.

As Connor hadn't taken the Chi Recieving Pill, his reaction speed was noticeably slower.

In an instant, Wadi was already before Connor. He raised his right hand and struck his shoulder forcefully.

"Bang!"

A loud noise echoed.

Connor felt as though a heavy iron hamr had slamd into his shoulder, causing him to fall to the ground.

After witnessing Connor's fall, Wadi's expression appeared sowhat disdainful. He had expected this outco from the start, given the vast gap between their realms. In a fight against Connor, Wadi probably wouldn't even need to draw his sword.

On the large screens below the mountain, the spectators had witnessed this scene.
