After hearing this, Connor suddenly looked up and saw several planes in the sky, actually broadcasting live.
"Damn it, why didn't Jenna tell there's live broadcasting? If this is broadcasted, won't the whole world know that I'm Mr. Connor?"
Connor exclaid in utter frustration.
He had intentionally kept his identity hidden. If his true identity was exposed, the consequences would be unimaginable!
"No, I need to go get sothing to disguise myself. If I'm recognized, it'll be troubleso. It's fine if I win, but if I lose, it's going to be really embarrassing..."
Connor turned around, about to search for sunglasses and a hat.
However, Jenna suddenly reached out and stopped him. She then softly explained, "Mr. Connor, you don't need to worry. Not everyone can see this kind of live broadcast. Only martial artists can view it through a special channel; ordinary people can't see it!"
If martial arts battles were broadcasted online, it would surely cause panic. Even Palr wouldn't be foolish enough to do sothing like that.
"Ordinary people can't see it?"
Connor paused for a mont, then asked Jenna.
"Yes, ordinarily, regular people can't see it. But if soone knows so martial artists, they might be able to see it," she earnestly replied.
He nodded slightly upon hearing her explanation, visibly relieved.
"If regular people can't see it, then it's alright."
He sighed softly and continued walking.
However, at that mont, Waverly suddenly held out her hand to stop Connor and whispered, "Mr. Connor, Second Elder is here..."
"Second Elder?"
Connor paused, looking puzzled. "Who's the Second Elder?"
"The Second Elder is the Second Elder of our Purple Cloud Sect!"
Waverly explained with a helpless expression, "Mr. Connor, the Second Elder has co to ensure your safety. But the Second Elder cannot show their face, because if they do, Faris might get involved. So, if you feel the situation is unfavorable during your battle with Wadi, just concede directly. The Second Elder should be able to protect you."
"Concede?"
He chuckled upon hearing Waverly's words, then calmly said, "Isn't that a bit humiliating? It's a live broadcast now. How could I possibly concede?"
"I an, if you feel you can't defeat Wadi, you can choose to concede!"
Waverly repeated with a resigned expression.
"Don't worry, that Wadi can't possibly be my match!"
Connor stated with great confidence.
After a mont, he finally reached the front of the staircase.
"Mr. Connor, if you go up this staircase, you'll et Mr. Jinez."
Palr halted and turned to softly instruct him.
"Okay, got it!"
Connor nodded gently.
"Both of you, please wait here with us!"
Palr addressed Chieko and Waverly.
Upon hearing his words, Chieko's expression turned slightly worried.
Connor gave a faint smile and replied, "Don't worry, I'll make it out alive."
But just at that mont, Palr reached out and stopped Connor again. With a smiling deanor, he said, "Mr. Connor, I apologize, but to ensure a fair contest, you cannot use Chi Receiving Pill. So, I hope you can hand over the Chi Receiving Pill."
"What did you say?"
Upon hearing his words, Waverly's eyes widened, and her expression turned furious.
After all, Connor's greatest reliance at the mont was the Chi Receiving Pill. Without them, he would rely be an advanced Yellow-Rank warrior, far from being a match for Wadi.
"Mr. Jinez won't use any pills, so naturally Mr. Connor shouldn't either. It's for the sake of fairness!"
Palr explained calmly.
"Since when did such a rule exist? I've never heard of not being allowed to use pills in a contest!"
Waverly protested indignantly.
"We've always had this rule in Xiangjiang!"
Palr answered.
"If you have such a rule, then we won't compete. Mr. Connor, let's go down the mountain now!"
Waverly hurriedly reached out and tugged Connor.
However, Connor remained still.
"Mr. Connor, what do you an by this?"
Seeing Connor standing still, Waverly appeared puzzled and confused as she asked him.
"Mr. Connor is probably concerned about Miss Yi Yun's safety, right?"
Palr chuckled.
Connor glanced at him and calmly said, "It's just a few pills. If they don't want to bring them, then I won't..."
"Mr. Connor, you can't!"
Waverly shouted out loudly upon seeing Connor about to agree to Palr's request. Her expression was extrely excited.
"Can't? Why not?"
Connor retorted lightly, then reached out and handed the Chi Recieving Pill to Waverly.
"Mr. Connor, without the Chi Recieving Pill, you're definitely dood if you go up now!"
Waverly shouted loudly to Connor.
"Dood?"
Connor coldly chuckled upon hearing Waverly's words. He then calmly stated, "Ever since I arrived in Xiangjiang, many people have told that I was dood. However, I'm still alive and well. Since this is ant to be a fair duel, I don't need these things. You can take care of them for !"
"Mr. Connor, you truly live up to being Mr. Jorge's disciple. You have great determination!"
Palr hadn't anticipated Connor to so readily agree.
Connor turned his head and gave Palr a faint look. With an expressionless face, he said, "You've really gone all out to deal with , haven't you?"
"Haha, Mr. Connor, what are you saying!"
Palr burst into laughter.
Connor didn't bother responding to Palr. He simply continued walking up the mountain path.
Waverly watched Connor's retreating figure, her expression filled with puzzlent. She couldn't fathom why he had agreed to Palr's unreasonable demand. Without the Chi Recieving Pill, he was practically walking into death's embrace.
