Chapter 1034: Chapter 67 Genius Club (Two-in-One Finale Chapter)
Genius Club Charter?
Lin Xian scanned through the five provisions from top to bottom.
I didn’t expect.
The adjudication of the third question is actually so efficient, or rather, the third question doesn’t need adjudication for right or wrong, as it inherently has no right or wrong.
So.
That’s why, the mont I submitted the answer, I directly passed the examination and the “Genius Club Charter” appeared before .
At this point…
It’s equivalent to being formally invited to attend the eting of the Genius Club.
“Phew…”
Lin Xian breathed a sigh of relief:
“It’s been a long journey.”
Finally.
I have reached this step.
Finally.
I can attend the eting and face those geniuses to figure out the answers to the Millennium Stakes and many other mysteries.
The first provision of the Charter specifies that the etings of the Genius Club are held on the 1st of every month, at 00:42 Dragon Country ti.
This Dragon Country timing is quite intriguing…
Since the text on the Genius Club’s logo is in English, Lin Xian intuitively thinks this must be an organization led by a foreigner.
But why… does the eting ti use Dragon Country ti?
“Could it be that the chairman of the Genius Club is a Dragon Country person?”
Lin Xian scratched his head:
“It’s not impossible; it’s clear if I just attend one of the etings.”
The latter half of the first provision also emphasizes.
You can be absent, but being late is not accepted.
aning, if you’re late, then it’s better not to co at all… that’s quite interesting.
It appears.
This organization places great importance on ceremony, almost stubbornly so.
However, looking at the second provision.
It ntions that in keeping with the tis, etings are now held online using virtual reality technology, requiring VR glasses or VR helts to enter.
It makes sense.
Lin Xian had also guessed:
“If the etings of the Genius Club were always held offline, then the relationships among the mbers couldn’t possibly be so unfamiliar.”
“Not to ntion, if you put Jask and Kevin Walker at the sa table, one wrecking the other’s closed loop, the other blowing up 20,000 of his satellites, they’d both wish the other dead… even if they keep calm during the eting out of respect for the chairman, the mont they step out of the club, they would probably start fighting.”
“Furthermore, with Kevin Walker being an international fugitive, how could he possibly physically attend the etings? So… I had guessed that their etings wouldn’t be in an offline format, but I didn’t expect it to be via VR (Virtual Reality technology), truly keeping up with the tis.”
VR, Virtual Reality technology, is generally achieved through VR glasses or helts that cover half of the face.
VR devices completely block your field of vision and then use virtual reality technology to project imrsive images.
As the user moves their body and turns their neck, the 3D images in their field of vision change accordingly. It was a very hot concept a few years ago, though it has sowhat fizzled out these past two years.
Lin Xian also did so research.
Mainly because VR technology indeed has limited application scenarios and also faces hardware limitations.
But frankly, using VR technology for remote, imrsive etings is a clever idea.
“So, how did the Genius Club hold monthly etings before the advent of VR technology?”
Lin Xian believes.
The Genius Club surely has a long history and was definitely not established only after VR technology was introduced.
Previously, they must have also had concerns about hiding their identities. Perhaps… they were always t through online chat rooms?
“Even so, what about before that? Before the advent of the Internet, before personal computers?”
Lin Xian shook his head.
Back then, there would have been no other way but to physically attend the etings, to et offline.
I wonder, back then, if the mbers of the Genius Club would really fight each other after the etings.
I also wonder how many mbers there were in that era’s Genius Club, and how many are still alive today.
Including how many mbers are currently in the club, Lin Xian is equally curious.
“Three days later, July 1st.”
Lin Xian looked at the calendar in front of his desk:
“The answers will be revealed then.”
There’s no VR equipnt at ho, so I’ll go buy one in the next few days.
I rember at last year’s Apple new product launch, they announced a new VR glasses device, which only recently started selling.
Not sure if it supports NFC.
“I’ll go to a specialty store tomorrow to check it out. Anyway, VR equipnt is not hard to buy. There are various brands available, so it’s not a difficult task.”
Afterward.
Lin Xian turned to the third provision.
This one is a bit baffling.
It states that to protect privacy and prevent identity exposure, attendees must wear a mask during etings.
Um…
If it were an offline eting, Lin Xian could totally understand wearing masks to hide identities.
But using VR glasses and virtual reality technology for an online eting, why is there a need to wear a mask?
After all, everyone is participating as a virtual online persona. You can freely alter your appearance, make yourself fatter or thinner, taller or shorter, including your facial features and hairstyle, all can be set at will.
If you wish, everything can be fake, even gender can be fake, there’s no risk of exposure at all.
In terms of hiding identity.
VR equipnt online eting is already perfect, wearing a mask on top of that is completely redundant.
Moreover…
“With VR glasses or a VR helt already on your head, how would you even wear a mask?”
