The Dream Sight divine ability is a useful ability because people are always dreaming.
People are either actively dreaming or passively dreaming. They are actively dreaming when they fall asleep, while they dream passively when they are awake.
Either way, people are always dreaming, and since they are always dreaming, it ans that they are always simultaneously in the physical dinsion and in the dream realm.
Since they can’t et the killer in the spiritual dinsion, they want to et her in the dream dinsion. If they can see her dream, then eting her in the dream dinsion will beco possible.
It will even be better if they can mark her dream. That way, she will never be able to escape from them.
The first angel of telepathy doesn’t have the divine abilities of the pathway of dreams, which is why the vessel was called over. Once the vessel used the Dream Sight divine ability, the problem of the impenetrable defenses of the fortress was solved.
The dream of the killer was seen as an island above her head. The vessel marked this island so the god of dreams was able to easily find it in the dream realm.
Once he found the dream island belonging to the killer in the fortress, the god of dreams was able to confirm that this killer wasn’t Legion. After all, this dream island wasn’t large and heavily fortified.
This was sothing that he already suspected after seeing the island when the vessel used the Dream Sight divine ability. He didn’t see that iconic Aegis Shield back then, so the god of dreams was already inclined to believe that this was a case of mistaken identity.
But this didn’t an that the killer was useless. After seeing that the killer is a demigod, the god of dreams decided to take her and use her.
The first divine ability that the god of dreams used was the Sleep divine ability.
As he used this divine ability, he smiled and said to himself, "Who would have thought that I ca across a demigod killer? This is such a pleasant surprise."
"As they say, half bread is better than none. Seeing as I love half bread so much, I don’t mind taking this one for my effort."
Just like the first angel, the demigod killer wasn’t able to resist the power of the god of dreams. Things were even worse because she didn’t sense anything amiss and went to sleep imdiately without any kind of resistance.
What was left was to enter her dream island and convince her to join with him. This is sothing that is very easy for him to do.
To be honest, he enjoys assimilating the dreams of other people. But he is always fair about it and always fulfills his promise of fulfilling their dreams.
Of course the place he fulfills their dreams is within his authority of the pathway of dreams, not in the real world. Those he has subdued will have whatever they want in their dreams, while he will get their identity and power in real life as paynt for his services.
As he thought of this, he chuckled and said, "I’m not bullying these people. In fact, I am helping them. It is just a transaction, and it is a fair one too."
Then he proceeded to intrude into her dream with his consciousness and power.
The process of converting a target is very easy. But this ti, he encountered so difficulty and resistance.
The resistance ca in the form of external interference. A spiritual power greater than that of an angel gushed out of the demigod’s island, pushed him away from the island, and sealed the dream island from his intrusion.
He also sensed the presence of a divine fragnt from the spiritual power. He is especially sensitive to sothing like that as the god of dreams.
This change of events shocked him, though. This was because the appearance of a spiritual power greater than that of an angel from a demigod ant that the demigod was a vessel of a being that was at least a godling and might be a god.
Right now, the patron behind the demigod killer had warned him and pushed him away. But if he continued to act against the demigod, things might escalate.
This made him say to himself, "They probably want to keep this secret. No wonder the Ocean of Blood was released and a demigod killer suddenly appeared. It seems that a god sowhere is coveting the Ocean of Blood. Who could it be?"
As he asked himself this question, he rembered what happened recently when the god of nobles, the god of death, and the god of illusions all ganged up on the god of justice.
Their actions led to the release of the Ocean of Blood. Now that he has seen a demigod killer that is obviously the vessel of a divine being, he couldn’t help but begin to make certain connections.
When he rembered how tough the fortress protecting the demigod killer in the spiritual dinsion was, he beca even more sure that a god was supporting the demigod killer, as only a god would be able to find a way to enter a structure that is capable of resisting the power of angels.
As for the identity of the divine being supporting the demigod killer, after thinking about it for a while, he realized that this information wasn’t important to him and it made very little difference to him.
What was important to him and made a lot of difference to his situation was that fact that he didn’t need the Ocean of Blood, and he also wanted to keep his current actions to acquire the Mind Palace a secret.
So he said to himself, "It isn’t worth it to fight a god for sothing I don’t need or even want."
If asked why he made this decision, he would say it wasn’t because of fear. He would say that the decision was made out of wisdom. But the truth of the matter is that if he were strong enough, he wouldn’t have made this decision.
