The god of dreams gained access to the first angel of telepathy’s mories, so he learned that Legion was suspected of being a killer and that this killer was in the spiritual dinsion.
No one in the Mind Hunter organization knew Legion’s identity. This information about the killer in the spiritual dinsion was the only link that the god of dreams had, and it wouldn’t cost anything to confirm, so the god of dreams went to the spiritual dinsion.
The god of dreams took the Mindscape to reach his destination. Since he already had the mories of the destination from the first angel’s mind, he was able to reach this destination very quickly.
When he reached the destination, he saw the horde of blood beasts trying to get into a sealed fortress. None of the blood beasts sensed him because he used the Sensory Hijack divine ability to make them unable to perceive him.
Unfortunately, he too couldn’t get into the fortress. Despite his great power, the fortress was impenetrable to him.
This is of course because he only had the body of an angel, and angels of telepathy weren’t good at physical attacks. If he were here in his true body, even if he wasn’t good with physical attacks, he would crush the fortress just by sitting on it.
Even so, the fact that this fortress can block the power of an angel was impressive to him. It made him shake his head in wonder and say, "To think such a powerful race of people was defeated, killed to extinction, and had their gods cut into pieces to be grafted onto weaklings."
As the god of dreams, he has road through the dreams of many people. So of the dreams he has experienced ca from people that died a long ti ago.
Dreams just don’t disappear when people die. The dreams of powerful people in particular can last for thousands of years.
So people use the dreams of dead people to acquire mastery of their divine abilities. But this usually backfires on them.
Only the godclads of the pathway of dream can prevent the dreams of others from contaminating their minds, and only the god of dreams can safely surf the dreams of dead ancient gods.
In the dreams of the ancient dead gods, he learned that the spiritual dinsion used to be ho to many powerful and prosperous races. In fact, the spiritual dinsion was the main plane back then.
It was said that the spiritual dinsion was teeming with a special energy that made people stronger just by inhaling it. This was the main reason the spiritual dinsion was so prosperous.
But then calamity struck. An unfathomable force invaded the spiritual dinsion and began killing everyone.
The powerful races of that ti resisted, but the repercussions of their battles for survival tainted the energy in the spiritual dinsion, which further made the world uninhabitable.
The tainted energy in the spiritual dinsion caused the people alive to begin mutating and going insane. Because of the tainted energy, so of them beca mad divine beasts, while others just died.
Most of the people that died were killed by the tainted energy in the atmosphere. In order to avoid this, many people left the spiritual dinsion and went to live in the dull, cold, and dark abyss.
The abyss used to be a prison when the spiritual dinsion was still prosperous. But it beca a safe haven after the spiritual dinsion beca inhospitable.
The abyss has been called the main physical dinsion ever since. But it will never be the main physical dinsion because of the lack of the life-giving energy.
If not for the energy springs, no one would have been able to survive living in the tenebrum abyss. But surviving was the only thing those people who escaped could do.
Without the life-giving energy, they couldn’t grow stronger anymore. Not only could they not grow stronger, they even began to regress and devolve. This was how humans ca about.
In the anti, nearly every race in the spiritual dinsion was wiped out. Even their civilization was destroyed.
The only things that were left behind were sturdy fortresses like the one protecting the killer and the flesh of the powerful ancient gods that refused to die. But try as they might, the glory and strength of the past was forgotten as the river of ti flowed forward.
It wasn’t until many years later that humans learned how to graft the flesh of the powerful beings onto themselves and recovered a little of their forr strength. But their history of a prosperous civilization has been forgotten.
Only a few people like the god of dreams still rember the ancient past and what was lost. And only in monts like this when he encounters relics of that ancient past does he rember what was lost.
He reminisced about this for a while. Then he called over his vessel to help him.
His vessel is the legendary telepath that was sacrificing people and using them as channels to channel the power of the main body of the god of dreams.
Right now, this vessel has reached the limit of the sequence in terms of spiritual power. This was achieved by sacrificing the dreams of many people.
It can be said that the vessel is stronger than the first angel of telepathy. But this power is only temporary, and only the first angel of telepathy has the right state of existence needed to take control of the Mind Palace, even if only temporarily.
What the vessel was called for was to help find a way to get into contact with the killer within the fortress. The vessel did this by using the Dream Sight divine ability.
The Dream Sight divine ability is similar to the ntal Probe divine ability in that it helps godclads of the pathway of dreams to see the dreams of others.
The Dream Sight divine ability can also see dreams through physical obstacles as it relies on the dream realm, not the physical dinsion for perception.
