Watching his body being dragged forward inch by inch, Fenrir struggled with all his might—
But all it accomplished was carving deeper claw marks into the ground.
At the sa ti, he could feel it—
A faint loosening in his fang.
Though his expression remained ferocious, panic had already begun to creep into his heart.
He couldn't understand it.
The opponent before him clearly looked like nothing more than a lowly creature—
And yet his strength rivaled that of a true dragon.
Fenrir had lived for countless years. As one of the top ten strongest beings in the world, he should have known every major powerhouse by na.
And yet—
He had never even heard of Ren Kuroda.
Even among those at his level, the re ntion of his God-Slaying Fangs was enough to inspire fear.
But soone like Ren—
Not only unafraid—
Actually trying to pull out his teeth—
This was a first.
And judging by the current situation—
He was completely helpless against him.
Sure, losing a single fang wouldn't affect him much in practical terms.
But this was about dignity.
If the feared "God-Slaying Fangs" were ripped out in front of others—
Would anyone ever fear Fenrir again?
"BOOM—! BOOM—! BOOM—! BOOM—!"
Just as Fenrir's panic reached its peak—when he was even starting to consider backing down—
A barrage of Norse magic formations suddenly rained down from the sky above them!
Brilliantly colored spells shot down like teors, slamming into Ren's body without warning.
There was no need to guess who had attacked.
Norse magic.
Targeting Ren.
The culprit could only be—
Loki.
While Ren had been fighting Fenrir, Rias and Rossweisse had been holding Loki at bay.
But a Valkyrie and a newly promoted high-class devil were no match for him.
If Loki hadn't been treating the fight like a ga, they would have already been lying on the ground.
At first, Loki had believed Fenrir could handle Ren easily.
Proud as he was, he had no intention of lowering himself to gang up on a single opponent.
But now—
Watching Fenrir get beaten down, even nearly suffering the humiliation of having his teeth pulled—
Loki could no longer sit still.
Breaking free from Rias and the others, whom he had been toying with, he unleashed a massive surge of magic—
And launched a sneak attack at Ren from behind!
A storm of multi-colored Norse spells exploded against Ren's body, engulfing him in a violent cascade of blasts.
Smoke and debris swallowed his figure whole.
Feeling the tension on his fang suddenly lessen, Fenrir let out an excited howl, glancing up at Loki.
Huh. Maybe the old man isn't completely useless after all.
Of course—
In stories like this, there was a universal rule:
If there's smoke, there's no damage.
And Ren Kuroda was no exception.
Loki might be one of the chief gods of the Norse pantheon—
But power on the level of a Dragon King might overwhelm Rias and Issei—
Against Ren and Fenrir?
It simply wasn't enough.
As the smoke gradually dispersed in the wind, Ren's figure erged once more.
His left hand was raised—
And in front of him shimred a rainbow-colored barrier.
As for damage?
There was none.
"Is this really all the strength the infamous Norse trickster god has?" Ren said flatly. "Honestly… I'm disappointed."
His gaze sharpened.
"With power like yours, what exactly do you hope to gain by starting Ragnarök again?"
A faint smirk tugged at his lips.
"Don't tell you actually believe you'd be the one standing at the end?"
Those words—
Shattered Loki's composure.
Prideful to the core, Loki had always believed himself superior—even to Odin.
That belief was the very reason he sought to overthrow him.
And now—
To be looked down upon like this—
By a re "mongrel"—
Was sothing he could not tolerate.
Enraged, Loki's magic surged once more.
Countless magic circles unfolded before him, overlapping layer upon layer—
And then—
He unleashed a relentless bombardnt upon Ren.
Explosion after explosion roared across the battlefield.
And yet—
Ren did not move.
Not even a single step.
The rainbow barrier before him remained as unshakable as ever.
The sa barrier that Fenrir could shatter with a bite—
Now stood firm against minutes of Loki's frenzied assault without even the slightest crack.
"Fenrir! What are you waiting for?!" Loki roared, his expression twisting in frustration. "Do you want to lose and watch you get your teeth pulled out?!"
After exhausting himself in a futile barrage, Loki finally rembered—
He still had his far more capable "son."
Fenrir, suddenly caught in the crossfire of Loki's anger, felt a surge of irritation.
But—
He quickly realized—
Loki wasn't wrong.
One-on-one—
They had no chance.
Only by working together could they hope to bring down this so-called "lowly creature."
With that thought, Fenrir dug his claws deep into the ground once more.
With a powerful yank of his head—
He pulled.
Previously, Ren had held the advantage in their contest of strength because he was pulling with both hands.
But now—
His right hand was still gripping the ribbon-like Kamiyu—
While his left was occupied maintaining the barrier against Loki's bombardnt.
Caught between two fronts—
His condition was no longer the sa.
Gradually—
Fenrir began to regain the upper hand.
A savage grin spread across his face as he poured all his strength into the pull.
Slowly but surely—
Ren's body began to slide toward him.
Seeing this, Loki's eyes lit up with excitent.
Worried that Ren might suddenly release the Holy Sword of Form and break free, Loki decided to go all in—
Pouring nearly all his remaining magic into a single devastating attack.
A massive pillar of violet energy condensed in the air—
A fusion of curse power and destructive force.
The cursed energy clashed against the blessing barrier, the two forces canceling each other out.
Loki's magic, both in quality and quantity, was still inferior to Ren's—
So he couldn't break the barrier.
But—
Even if he couldn't destroy it—
The sheer impact of that attack could not be negated.
And that impact—
Forced Ren backward.
And the direction he was being pushed—
Just happened to be the sa direction Fenrir was pulling.
The combined force—
Push and pull—
Stacked together.
One plus one—
Greater than two.
Under that dual pressure—
Ren was finally dragged directly in front of Fenrir.
And Fenrir did not hesitate.
Seizing the mont—
He opened his massive jaws—
And bit down.
Watching Ren disappear into Fenrir's mouth, Loki's face broke into a wide, triumphant grin.
No matter how strong he was—
No matter how tough his body—
Nothing could withstand the bite of the God-Slaying Fangs.
—
Inside that gaping maw—
Ren's voice echoed calmly.
"Last ti we tested our strength, I had the upper hand."
A faint, dangerous smile crept across his face.
"So what makes you think that just because I'm inside your mouth now… you've already won?"
His eyes glead.
"Let think… your fur has incredible resistance to magic, and it's as tough as steel."
A pause.
"But I wonder…"
"Does the inside of your body have the sa level of resistance?"
