"According to your definition, does the deception of dreams also belong to the domain of the God of Lies?" Watching the sun gradually rise on the horizon, Bai Yang asked curiously.

Alvin nodded and explained, "Yes, Your Grace. The God of Lies has the most extensive authority, with traces of deception present in almost every domain that can be involved."

"Any concept defined as deception falls within the coverage of the Divine Spark!"

He said with so regret, "And precisely because of this, wherever Lord Higgs went before, he would be driven away or even attacked!"

"No wonder. Deceiving the sun and moon - the light system deities wouldn't spare him; deceiving dreams - the Dream God wouldn't allow it; deceiving war - that's especially the War God's taboo..."

Bai Yang suddenly began to understand why Higgs was so miserable.

This unlucky guy, with weak strength yet holding a divine position that could almost overturn everything - getting beaten up seed quite normal.

Now, Bai Yang began to suspect whether that accident in the Divine War was really an "accident"?

Or could it be considered a kind of tacit understanding?

Did those two main sequence deities choose to directly eliminate this troubleso fellow in every sense first?

He shook his head. Regardless, this had benefited him.

As he had guessed, the God of Lies' authority was very broad and extensive. On the Dylan Continent, this was undoubtedly a disadvantage, as every deity would suspect him of stealing their authority.

But this was parallel Earth, an Earth without deities, or even without mystery. In this world, this authority ant endless possibilities.

"It's just a pity that the Wish Force is too scarce to create any major disturbances..." Bai Yang said regretfully.

"Your Grace, your ideas have already been implented, so your true rise must be just around the corner!" Alvin said with a smile.

He actually had more confidence than Bai Yang - this lord's ideas were much better than his rigid understanding!

They had stayed here all night.

Soon, the sun rose on the horizon, dyeing both the sky and coastline red.

anwhile, in Vespucci Town, a very piercing scream erupted!

"Ah!" The sharp scream made the town sheriff Franz instinctively cover his ears.

He was very tired, as if he hadn't slept last night, having experienced a very long nightmare.

But as the town's only sheriff, when such situations occurred, he had to go out and check.

Fortunately, the location of the scream wasn't too far from his ho. Franz put on his gear and went directly over.

Vespucci Town was unusually quiet today. Throughout his walk, he didn't see any of the residents who would normally appear on the streets.

This made Franz sowhat alert. Keeping his hand on his gun, he arrived at the house where the scream had originated.

"Hank? Was that your daughter screaming?" Franz asked.

"Yes, Franz!" Hank was a fisherman with a strong build, so his voice sounded full of vigor. "Please co in, we might need you to take a look!"

Town sheriffs were different from city police officers. They were the main administrative personnel of the town and also residents of the town themselves.

Their relationship with residents was very close, without the tense police-civilian opposition seen in cities.

Therefore, Franz was very familiar with every town resident.

He opened the door and saw Hank and Mrs. Hank, both with heavy dark circles under their eyes, and was slightly taken aback. "You didn't sleep well last night either?"

"Yes, we didn't sleep well. Had a very terrifying nightmare..." Hank replied. He suddenly thought of sothing and looked at Franz. "Don't tell you also..."

"Mhm!" Franz nodded with a heavy expression.

If only he had had a nightmare, that would be a coincidence.

But if others had nightmares too, that indicated a problem!

"Let see Fuli!" Franz said after thinking for a mont. "What's wrong with her?"

Hank swallowed hard and said nervously, "She seems... unable to wake up!"

The three of them walked toward the room together. As the inner room door opened, Franz saw Hank's daughter Fuli, a girl who had just turned sixteen, lying in bed asleep.

But she was sleeping very restlessly, her brows furrowed as if enduring so kind of pain.

These actually weren't the key issues. The crucial point was that around the girl's body, strands of eerie black mist were slowly spreading outward!

Seeing this scene, even the experienced Sheriff Franz appeared sowhat panicked.

He tried hard to calm himself and asked, "How long has this situation been going on?"

"We don't know. When Lucy woke up this morning and ca to call Fuli to get up, she found her like this..." Hank said with a heavy gaze. "Sheriff Franz, is Fuli sick?"

Of course, he was deceiving himself by saying this. Anyone could tell that no matter what illness she had, it wouldn't cause sothing like this.

Franz shook his head. "This doesn't look like an illness. Carry her on your back, we're going to the church!"

"Perhaps Father Angus knows sothing!"

Franz felt that this peculiar situation resembled the "demon possession" he had seen in movies.

If this were a stranger or a villain, Franz would probably have already drawn his gun.

But the person with the problem was Fuli, a girl he had watched grow up, so of course he couldn't do that.

After thinking it over, the only person in the entire town who might be connected to such matters was Father Angus!

Therefore, the three of them hurriedly carried the girl on their back and rushed toward the church.

The town was indeed very small. Even walking, they reached the church within ten minutes.

At this mont, Father Angus, who had just awakened from the bright dream, happened to push open the church doors.

"Sheriff Franz, you're here so early?" Angus said cheerfully, then he saw the girl carried on Hank's back.

"This is..." The mont the priest saw the girl, he imdiately beca serious. Extrely obvious black energy was slowly drifting out from the girl's body!

Hank entered the church, carefully placed his daughter on a nearby bench, and with tears in his eyes, grasped Father Angus's hand. "Father, please save her! She beca like this after waking up from sleep last night!"

Angus had originally planned to say that despite studying theology for so many years, he never learned how to perform exorcisms.

But looking at the man's tear-filled eyes, he couldn't bring himself to say those words.

Moreover, he recalled what had happened last night. So the middle-aged priest thought for a mont and took off his cross necklace from around his neck.

"Lord, is this your revelation?" Angus silently wondered as he walked up to the girl and brought the cross closer!

At that very mont, the church doors suddenly swung shut on their own without any wind.

The entire church environnt suddenly darkened, becoming sowhat gloomy.

In this dim environnt, the girl who was already emitting black energy beca even more eerie.

The black gas around her body seed to be weaving sothing, and a naless fear began to erge in the hearts of the several people!

The next second, that black energy tangled together to form a terrifying, ferocious face that lunged nacingly toward the four of them!

"Ah!" The first to lose control was Mrs. Hank, who let out a scream and hid behind her husband.

Hank forced himself to stay calm and, trembling, said to the face before him, "You... what are you? Get out of my daughter's body now!"

Franz even drew his pistol, aiming at this black monster while flipping off the safety!

Now they understood - it seed like this peculiar monster was entangled with Fuli.

Seeing this, Father Angus still held his cross necklace and slowly approached the monster before him.

As he advanced, faint white lights suddenly appeared on the previously ordinary silver cross!

The mont these white lights appeared, the black demonic face actually revealed an expression of fear!

A look of joy appeared on Father Angus's face. "Get out of her body now, demon!"

The cross advanced further!

The white light illuminated the utterly astonished expressions on the faces of the three people behind him!
