Synopsis
LieutenantReiaafoxgirlandasquadleader,comesbackfromahighlydangerousmissionthatinvolvedtheretrievalofahighlyconfidentialfile.Reialookedintothefilesthemselveswhileonthemissionanddiscoversablueprintofageneratorforanewsourceofenergythatcouldpotentiallywipeouttheentireworld.Uponreturningtoherquartersshetriestofigureoutwhatthemilitaryplanstodoandhowmuchtimetheyhavebeforetheyneedtoleave.However,themilitaryalreadymadetheirmoveandsentsomeonetoassassinateReiaandhersquad.Reiaknowingexactlywhattheywereherefordecidestopushforwardtheplantorunawayfromthemilitary.KillingthegeneralthatcametokillthemsetsoffthemilitarytohuntReiaandhersquadforcingthemtoleave.Reiaandhersquadthenattempttoescapebutwhiletheyareescaping,themiddleofthemilitarybasebegantoerupt.Massivecracksformedacrosstheentiremilitarycity,andthenthesecracksbeganspewinggreenlava.Thisgreenlavahadaneffectcausingeveryonethatwastouchedbythelavatoturnintoamutant.Halfhumansbecameamuchbiggerversionoftheiranimalsandhumansbecameanelongatedversionofthemselves.Theirbodieswouldturnintoablackoilyslimesubstanceandlosealllogicalthought.Reiaandhersquadmanagetomakeittotheoutercitywithoutbeinginfectedbutwereseparatedintheprocess.Nowbeingseparatedeachofthemembersmustsurviveontheirownandfindawaytoregroup.Reiaknewhowstronghersquadmemberswereandbelievedtheycouldsurvive,butnowitwashermissiontofindhermembersagainandfindasafeplacetosurvivetheapocalypse.
