Chapter 1298: Chapter 1298

Last night she arrived in a hurry, carrying only a shoulder bag.

After moving into Allen Rivera’s dormitory, she placed the bag on a chair against the wall. Now, its position seed to have changed, and the bag was opened.

Jane McCain found it odd but didn’t think much of it, assuming she had rembered incorrectly.

However, when she picked up the bag, she found its contents had been rummaged through.

Jane’s heart skipped a beat, anxiously wondering: Did a thief break in?

She quickly pulled out her wallet, and as she opened it, all the cards inside fell out—

Jane’s face instantly turned pale.

Her bank cards and docunts; all of them were cut to pieces!

Allen Rivera furrowed his brow, his expression stern, “Did anyone co here?”

The shoulder bag was one he had brought over last night from Fiona Lake and Juliet Stewart’s dormitory. Later Jane had taken costics from the bag, and at that ti the bank cards and docunts in the wallet were still fine; there was no reason for them to have changed overnight.

So Allen asked Jane if anyone had visited.

Soone must have entered the room after he left, waiting until Jane fell asleep, rummaging through the bag, and damaging her belongings.

His analysis was not without logic, but Jane felt confused.

In her mind, the only person likely to enter the room was Allen, wasn’t it? … Could it be, that person wasn’t Allen?!

She recalled that person’s improper and flirtatious touch on her lower back, her face turning extrely unpleasant, unable to speak of it.

Allen stared at Jane’s face and asked, “Why? Do you know who it is?”

Jane lowered her head, struggling to suppress the horror in her heart, “When I was asleep, I vaguely felt soone co in… but I don’t know who it was.”

After hearing this, Allen was silent for a while, then picked up the bag and placed it on the table, “Check again if there’s anything else damaged or missing.”

Jane complied and took everything out of the bag, inspecting each item with care.

“Everything else is here… only the items in the wallet were cut.”

Allen thought for a mont, then suddenly strode outside, “Stay in the room, I’ll be back soon.”

Jane nervously grabbed his arm.

Allen turned around and saw the panic in her eyes, realizing in his heart: she was scared.

A young girl, encountering such a thing away from ho, was naturally frightened.

He stopped, wrapped an arm around Jane’s shoulder, and sat down, taking out his phone to make a call.

Not long after, Fiona Lake, Juliet Stewart, Ray Cooper, and Lucas Tucker all arrived.

Suddenly being summoned to the dormitory, the four assistants thought Allen was going to assign tasks to them, but Allen directly asked, “Between nine and ten o’clock this morning, where were you and what were you doing?”

This morning, they also attended the eting, but after tasks were assigned, they gradually left the eting room, while Allen and the police official discussed the plan until past ten.

Fiona Lake said, “I didn’t have breakfast this morning, so I went to the street to find a food stall around nine and ca back to the dormitory after eating. Juliet Stewart was there at the ti.”

Juliet Stewart nodded slightly, her expression indifferent, “I was in the dormitory looking at docunts, didn’t go anywhere.”

Allen looked towards Ray Cooper and Lucas Tucker.

Ray Cooper looked embarrassed, saying awkwardly, “I ca over to find Juliet Stewart, brought her sothing.”

Fiona Lake chid in snidely, “Yeah, during Christmas it’s rare. Specially crafted a palm-sized snowman to deliver, afraid it might lt.”

Ray Cooper awkwardly chuckled twice.

Lucas Tucker glanced at him nonchalantly, said, “I ca to the dormitory looking for Ray Cooper, wanted to ask him sothing, but didn’t find him, so I left.”

Jane felt a mix of confusion and fear after listening to their words.

Because none of their alibis were completely foolproof, any of them might have been the one who entered the room.

Even… it might not have been them at all, but soone else residing in this dormitory!

While she was in a state of anxiety, Allen calmly said, “You all can go back to your tasks.”
