Chapter 1225: Chapter 1225

There are four people in the lounge.

Allen Rivera and his assistant, along with linda Johnson’s parents.

“…linda was very obedient since she was young. After she t that boy, she beca extrely rebellious. We wanted to change her environnt and transfer her to another school, but who would have thought she would run away from ho?”

linda’s mother hadn’t stopped crying since she ca in, choking up as she said, “I was also very angry at the ti. I called her and scolded her, saying she could only return ho once she ca to her senses. But the child was stubborn, and argued with . She never ca back after that! I thought she’d suffer a bit outside and then soften up to us, but who knew… who knew it would turn out like this…”

Allen asked them, “According to you, linda ran away from ho at the age of sixteen, and you didn’t see her for almost a year?”

linda’s father sighed and said, “We talked over the phone a few tis, but every call ended in an argunt.”

Allen took out a photograph and handed it to the couple.

“Do you recognize this person?”

“It’s him!” Mrs. Johnson said excitedly, “This is the man who tricked her into leaving!”

“Are you certain?” Allen asked.

“Her previous phone wallpaper was a photo of him, I rember it very clearly! I even went to her school and asked the teachers. They said this boy was two years older than linda, dropped out of high school, and was nothing but a hooligan!” Mrs. Johnson covered her face in pain, “If linda hadn’t gone with him, maybe none of this would have happened…”

Mr. Johnson held his wife’s shoulders and pressed down heavily, looking solemn.

Allen asked a few more questions, roughly understanding linda’s situation, and then saw off her parents.

“Thank you both for your assistance. I will inform you promptly if there are any new developnts. If you have any clues, please be sure to tell .”

Shortly after the couple left, the results from the forensic departnt were delivered.

The milk linda drank contained mifepristone.

Mifepristone is a common drug used for abortion but is effective only within the first 49 days of pregnancy. linda was already five months pregnant, and after drinking the milk with mifepristone, she suffered an incomplete abortion and severe bleeding, which ultimately led to her death.

Before she died, she had made an ergency call, but possibly due to her young age, she was panicked and didn’t manage to give her address clearly before passing out. When the doctor arrived, they found linda already dead and imdiately called the police.

Allen looked at the forensic report in his hand and fell silent, deep in thought.

It seed that once they found out who delivered that carton of milk, they could essentially identify the perpetrator.

It would be best if fingerprints could be found on the milk carton. Once the suspect erged, the fingerprints could be compared, securing physical evidence.

Allen was organizing his thoughts when his phone rang. It was the officer who was investigating linda’s boyfriend, with so updates.

“linda’s boyfriend is nad Marshall Jones. He said he’s been busy with tasks at the factory lately and hasn’t been ho for the past week,” the officer said, “We also asked other employees at the auto repair shop, and soone said Marshall didn’t go ho because he had a fight with linda. Their relationship seems to be troubled, and they’re on the verge of breaking up. They often heard Marshall arguing with his girlfriend over the phone.”

Allen nodded, “Alright, bring him back for fingerprint comparison. Keep a close eye on him as a major suspect to prevent his escape.”

“Understood.”

A busy morning passed.

In the afternoon, Allen attended a pre-trial conference, followed by an internal eting at the Prosecutor’s Office. After the eting, he returned to the office, where the fingerprint samples collected from the scene had also been delivered.

At linda’s residence, fingerprints from three different people were found.

Two sets of fingerprints likely belonged to linda and Marshall, but the third set was a complete mystery.

Allen sat in his office, tiredly rubbing his temples.

…Who would hold a grudge against a 17-year-old pregnant girl?
