Chapter 1203: Chapter 1203
When she heard about abortion before, she didn’t feel much about it. But after becoming a parent, every ti she heard about it, she couldn’t help but feel heartache.
Thinking from this perspective, Purple Sumrs could roughly understand Camilla Farrell’s difficulties.
Winning the lawsuit isn’t hard; the hard part is having the public also acknowledge that abortion is the right thing to do. Doing so would extinguish the fuse of the conservatives, and the artillery fire would have nowhere to ignite.
Acknowledging that taking away a life is the right thing to do? …This itself is against human nature.
Purple Sumrs sat by the crib, gently rocking it while lost in thought.
Alexander Sumrs walked in, took a glance at their daughter in the crib, and asked softly, “Is April asleep?”
“Yes, just fell asleep. What about Big Baby and Little Baby?”
“They just fell asleep too. Those two little rascals are always causing a ruckus.” Alexander Sumrs looked at their daughter, “April is still the most well-behaved, not noisy nor troubleso.”
“Why did we choose such a na…” Purple Sumrs couldn’t help but mutter.
She personally preferred artistic nas. When their daughter was born, she went through the entire Book of Songs and picked several nas — Weirui, Zhenzhen, Roujia… she liked every one of them.
Alexander Sumrs found them too complicated and nad her Persephone.
His thinking was simple: he thought his daughter should be raised in a delicate manner, pampered, precious, and beautiful. How delicate? Like the budding flowers of spring, like the sprouting new leaves of spring.
Purple Sumrs protested repeatedly, so Persephone was changed to April, which was less poetic but a bit cuter.
Alexander Sumrs chuckled, “The nas you picked, once our child goes to school, just writing her na would waste a lot of ti.”
Purple Sumrs glared at him.
Alexander Sumrs gently hugged her from behind, resting his chin on her head, holding his wife and looking at their child, his heart filled with warmth.
His expression grew tenderer, no longer showing any signs of his past hostility.
“Let’s not have any more children,” Alexander Sumrs said softly.
“Why?” Purple Sumrs asked, “Weren’t you the one who wanted to have three little princesses?”
Alexander Sumrs said, “If I really wanted to, not just three, even thirteen can be born.”
“You really dare to dream.” Purple Sumrs snorted, pinching his arm.
Alexander Sumrs laughed, “I’m thinking if we have another child, and it turns out to be a daughter, wouldn’t I have to split half of my affection for April with the other child? That wouldn’t be fair to April. I only want to give her the best, the most, rather than carefully maintaining a balance, fearing that I might love one more and the other less, making my child feel wronged.”
Purple Sumrs wanted to say his views were incorrect, that they should educate their children to appreciate sibling love rather than monopolizing parental affection.
But then she thought, her views might not be entirely right either.
Love is, first and foremost, exclusive. In friendship, people also rank friends at different levels. So why, when it cos to familial love, must there be equality and universal love?
Emotionally intelligent parents might be able to treat their children equally in material terms, but emotionally, favoritism is hard to avoid.
Purple Sumrs sighed, “It feels like I gave birth to two sons for nothing.”
They were entirely ignored by Alexander Sumrs.
Alexander Sumrs laughed, “As long as they’re born by you, I love them all.”
“You just know how to sweet-talk ,” Purple Sumrs snorted, “If I give birth to a pig, you’d like that too?”
Alexander Sumrs said sternly, “You can’t indirectly insult like that…”
“You rascal!” Purple Sumrs turned and hit him.
The commotion between the couple was so loud that the baby in the crib whimpered a few tis, seemingly about to wake up.
Purple Sumrs and Alexander Sumrs instantly froze.
Gently rocking the crib, the baby fell back asleep…
Both of them simultaneously breathed a sigh of relief and looked at each other, unable to suppress their laughter.
Once the baby was sound asleep, Alexander Sumrs asked her in a low voice, “What did Camilla Farrell co to see you about today?”
