Chapter 1835: Chapter 1396: I Can’t Beat You…

The Monarch and Ange were both looking around, seemingly searching for each other’s position. Anthony had to shout: “Who are you? Where are you? Can you co out?”

“Who am I… ? This is the first ti soone has asked this question, I…” The voice sounded, no longer the kind of consciousness wave directly transmitted into the soul, but the words stopped halfway and only resud after a long pause: “I just gave myself a na, I am ‘Hulu’.”

“Uh, Hulu, that’s not a good na, do you know humans?” Anthony looked at Anthony and the Monarch who had no intention of speaking, so he continued to ask.

“I know.” That voice responded.

“So humans can’t control their breathing when they sleep and make loud noises called snoring, which is quite annoying. If this is the na you just gave yourself, how about changing it?” Anthony said.

“Oh, then what should I be called…” The voice seed troubled.

“Let’s not worry about that for now. Where are you? Can you co out and et us?” Anthony asked.

“I’m right here, you are inside my body.” With these words, the surrounding mist trembled rhythmically.

Is this mist its body?

Ange suddenly pulled with both hands, but instead of drawing out the Devouring Abyss, he drew out a mass of Star Fla, then abruptly slapped his hands onto it.

The Star Fla exploded right between Ange’s hands, transforming into a blast wave that spread in all directions.

The blast wave affected the surrounding mist, causing it to expand slightly. Ange and the Monarch simultaneously looked up as if they had discovered sothing.

Negris, who couldn’t see anything, was anxious and hurriedly shared Ange’s vision, with Anthony quickly following suit.

Through Ange’s vision, they saw the blast wave spreading within the mist. The mist expanded a bit, then contracted, while the blast wave continued to spread, expand, expand, expand, and then the expanded mist contracted, contracted, contracted.

It continued to spread to a distant position, and suddenly, the mist there dispersed, not contracting, but instead scattering at a larger interval.

This stark difference imdiately outlined a contour, that of a gigantic fish-like silhouette, big at the front and small at the back, resembling a water droplet. But why call it fish-like? Because there were fin-like things on both sides.

Is this the creature’s form?

“So this is how you look? Like a fish, why don’t we call you Fog Whale then?” Anthony suggested.

“Fog Whale? Alright, you can call Fog Whale then. Is this a good na?” Fog Whale asked.

Anthony replied, “It’s at least ten thousand tis better than ‘Hulu’.”

Seeing that Fog Whale accepted the na, Anthony, having ford a ntal image, continued to ask, “Is this your original form? Can you shrink a bit to speak with us? I can’t even see you this way.”

“I’ll try…” Fog Whale said, then fell silent for a while before suddenly moving the mist in a single direction.

The mist moved past Ange and the others, carefully avoiding their positions as it drifted away.

However, this drifting took two hours; the ‘range’ of this Fog Whale was simply too vast. It wasn’t a shape but a range, possibly spanning millions of kiloters, and it took two hours just to move its form away from Ange and others.

When it finally managed to move away, one section gathered and condensed into a denser smoke than the mist, eventually forming a slightly smaller long-finned droplet shape.

“Like this, can you see it?” The voice ca from the smaller Fog Whale.

“Yes, I see it now. What are you doing here?” Anthony asked.

“Guarding this place, killing any creature that cos close.” Fog Whale said.

Anthony and the others exchanged glances.

“You an, kill ‘all’ creatures that get close? Then why didn’t you kill us?” Negris asked.

Fog Whale honestly replied, “Because I can’t beat you.”

When saying ‘you’, Fog Whale was focusing its intent on the Monarch. It ant it couldn’t beat the Monarch but didn’t include Ange. Does it believe it can actually beat Ange?

“Uh, what are you guarding here?” Anthony asked.

“I can’t tell you.” Fog Whale said.

“Ah? Why? You can’t beat us; if we look for it ourselves, will you stop us?” Anthony asked.

After a mont of silence, Fog Whale said sowhat gloomily, “I can’t beat you…”

It seed like it wanted to stop them but couldn’t. What exactly was it guarding? Would it just ignore it because it couldn’t win?

“Have you ever seen a creature that’s a combination of plant and animal? Has it been here?” Anthony asked.

Fog Whale seed to be thinking, and after a while, said, “I’ve seen it a few tis, and I killed them.”

A few tis? It seems that the deceitful tree was indeed lying to them, simply trying to lure the Monarch here to help it kill this Fog Whale. But unexpectedly, the Fog Whale was quite timid, choosing not to guard when it realized it couldn’t win.

And since it could kill the deceit tree’s branches multiple tis, it likely wasn’t weak.

“You won’t tell what you’re guarding, but can you tell where it is?” Anthony asked again.

“I can’t tell you…” Fog Whale said, feeling frustrated.

“Can you move aside and let us find it ourselves then?” Anthony asked again.

“No…” Fog Whale replied.

“Well…” Anthony was about to say sothing when the Monarch already sounded sowhat impatient: “Let’s just kill it, but its body is too large, I don’t know where to start.”

How could one attack a ‘fog’ of several million kiloters in length? Watching for a while still didn’t reveal where its core was.

Ange condensed a mass of Star Fla, then struck it with both hands to create another explosion wave.

Now that Fog Whale’s form had moved away from where Ange and the others were, the blast wave spread, dispersing the remaining mist, revealing Fog Whale’s shape to everyone.

It was as if Ange had suddenly blown away the mist in front of him, revealing a Giant Beast.

“Don’t attack. I can’t beat you.” Fog Whale said slowly.

Just as Fog Whale finished speaking, Ange condensed yet another Star Fla and blasted it with the sa technique, sending another explosion wave out.

“What are you doing? It’s uncomfortable, don’t…” Fog Whale complained in discomfort.

Ange ignored it, condensed another Star Fla, and blasted it again. Everyone realized Ange was doing sothing.

“It’s uncomfortable, stop.” Fog Whale said.

Ange condensed another Star Fla but hadn’t yet struck when Fog Whale finally couldn’t stand it and lunged with its smaller smoke form.

As Ange struck it, he pushed forward, causing the blast wave to no longer spread evenly but to spray forward along Ange’s direction, directly dissipating Fog Whale’s smoke form, with the aftermath continuing to expand.

Fog Whale’s main body imdiately moved, but Ange, as if discovering sothing, pulled with both hands and drew out a Devouring Abyss, while saying, “Monarch, co.”

After speaking, he charged forward bearing the Devouring Abyss.
