Chapter 1781: Chapter 1342: Who is Killing My Dragon?

Anthony’s words were like a thorn, piercing accurately into the hearts of these undead dragon people, so precise that they couldn’t even rebut. Many dragon-n visibly started to panic.

The scenario Anthony described had a high probability of becoming reality. Why was Goblin City massacred? Because those guys were soul beasts raised by King Fei Lie, ant to live and die naturally, continuously generating soul energy. When encountering a formidable enemy, slaughtering them to replenish soul energy was quite normal.

However, this also led to another question. These undead dragon people were also raised by King Fei Lie, so if they encountered a strong enemy, wouldn’t it be normal to consu them too?

Yes, it was too normal, so Anthony’s words left them without even the thought of rebuttal.

Originally, they planned to quietly surround Ange and his group during the battle between Emperor Fei Lie and the Monarch, capturing them to earn rits from Emperor Fei Lie. However, a single sentence from Anthony rendered all their actions aningless.

What significance would capturing these people have? They couldn’t intervene in the battle between Emperor Fei Lie and the Monarch. In other words, if the battle between Emperor Fei Lie and the opponent remained deadlocked, they would be used to restore his power by consuming their souls, and any efforts to gain rewards would be in vain; they were rely energy chargers for a Demon Crystal.

With just one sentence, panic, dejection, and despair began to spread among the undead dragon people, leaving Negris and the others dumbfounded. Ursman remarked, “I never believed soone could defeat their enemies with just words. Now I believe it. Lord Anthony, your words are formidable.”

Before Anthony could say anything, Lightning was the first not to accept it: “Uman, what do you an? Are you saying my words aren’t formidable?”

Ursman, startled, quickly put on a smile to avoid further trouble: “Formidable, formidable, Lord Lightning, you are even more formidable, you are more formidable.”

It was a rare mont of panic for the Wise Man.

The undead dragon people panicked for a while, then the leading dragon-man said stubbornly, “Our lives were given by the Great Emperor. Serving the Emperor is our honor. Besides, if we slaughter all of you, your…”

Anthony cut him off before he could finish, ntally connecting with Ange — Echo Spell: “What if the offering was your wives and children? Your friends? Your relatives? Does any of you retain mories from your past life? Do any of you have friends now? Among you, is there anyone particularly important to you?”

With Anthony’s words, the undead dragon people instinctively looked at their most important companions. As Anthony ntioned, many of these undead dragon people retained mories from their previous lives upon rebirth, with varying degrees of connectedness or familial ties.

Even without retaining mories, after so many years together, they surely had a few friends, spiritual partners, or respected ntors; there were always a few who were particularly important to them.

“If Emperor Fei Lie only needed half of the souls for an offering, which half would you choose?” Anthony asked loudly.

The undead dragon people were utterly flustered. Any intelligent being, when faced with an irresistible force, would have an ostrich ntality, hoping by chance that they would be the lucky percentage that survives, thus giving up resistance.

Why do sieges never surround all four sides but always leave a path for escape? It’s to utilize the lucky ntality of intelligent beings.

However, if such a disaster were to befall soone they cared about, many would no longer be able to play ostrich. They all looked towards the leading undead dragon-man, with occasional cries from the crowd: “Ukner.”

Ukner was utterly flustered, at his wits’ end, and instinctively looked at another undead dragon-man behind him.

This particular undead dragon-man had transford into a slightly smaller First-Order Dragon God. However, since it wasn’t a mammal, distinct secondary sexual characteristics weren’t present; only from its size could it be inferred to be a female dragon-man.

She also looked at Ukner in panic, anxiously saying, “Ukner, if you really have to offer half of us, offer . I’m quite useless and usually can’t help you much.”

“What nonsense are you talking about?” Ukner angrily retorted.

Seeing the opposite side’s emotions were almost in place, Anthony tily said, “We have a way to sever the soul connection, to cut off Emperor Fei Lie’s control over your souls.”

There was an uproar — the scene erupted into chaos. Ukner instinctively said, “Impossible!”

Anthony smiled; Ukner’s first reaction was ‘impossible,’ not rejection, indicating that their loyalty to Emperor Fei Lie had disintegrated considerably.

“You can send soone to try,” Anthony suggested.

Severing the soul connection was Anthony’s biggest trump card. Otherwise, he would never consider turning a group of undead creatures. Even if they weren’t loyal, the soul connection would ensure they had no ability to betray.

All the dragon-n looked at each other blankly, not knowing what to do.

The female dragon-man beside Ukner softly said, “Let go.”

Ukner didn’t hesitate to refuse and loudly asked, “Why should I trust you?”

Anthony stepped aside, letting Yennefer and Baburu co forward: “Because I am the Dragon God’s envoy!”

No one recognized Yennefer because she was too young, but soone recognized Baburu. From the dragon-n crowd, a descendant flew over, excitedly exclaiming, “Baburu, is that you? My child, is it you?”

“Ancestor Grandma? Ancestor Grandma, yes, it’s , it’s , I am Baburu, I am Baburu, waaaa…” Previously mocking Yennefer as a little lizard egg, Baburu now, like a small lizard, stumbled and flew towards the ancestor, crying all the way.

However, Ukner didn’t have ti for their reunion, grabbing Baburu to ask, “What’s with the Dragon God? Where is the Dragon God? Has the Dragon God returned?”

“The Dragon God has returned. We just ca out of the Space-Ti Domain. He is the Dragon God’s envoy, Ancestor Ukner, listen to the Dragon God’s words.” Baburu looked at Ukner, solemnly saying.

Baburu hesitated, looked toward Anthony, then at Baburu, who was tearfully reunited with her ancestor, before finally saying, “I’ll do it, try it on .”

As soon as Baburu spoke, the female dragon-man beside him tightly grabbed his arm, glaring at him stubbornly.

Baburu shook his head, slowly but firmly prying her fingers off, then smiled gently and patted her head, just as he did when young in his previous life.

Anthony led him to stand before Ange.

Ange had several ways to sever soul connections, such as erasing the brand or transferring the consciousness to a new soul, or reincarnating as a Star Descendant. Ange chose the most suitable thod for him.

Confirming that the soul connection could indeed be severed, all the undead dragon people hurriedly gathered around, lining up to undergo the procedure with Ange.

As more and more undead dragon people severed their soul connections, King Fei Lie, who was fiercely battling the Undead King far away, finally realized sothing was wrong: Who is killing my dragons?
