Chapter 1246: Chapter 809: It Seems Like I Died Chapter 1246: Chapter 809: It Seems Like I Died Ange reached out with his Spirit Touch, poking at the body of the Dark Origin.

“This is disconnection?” Negris exclaid in surprise.

It was all too familiar with this kind of change, it often experienced disconnection itself—when the isolating barrier exceeded the power of projection, its projection would beco invalid, creating this sensation of disconnection.

Ange nodded, then imdiately shook his head, reached out with a sweeping grasp, and a sphere of Chaos Mist surged out in the palm of his hand. It swiftly condensed, growing more and more substantial, larger and larger, until finally, it ignited with a whoosh.

“Hiss—Consciousness cannot be created, huh.”

“Hiss—Fog City Ghost? Just by hearing say a na, you learned it?”

“Hiss—Kvada—”

A series of shuddering gasps followed, and soone couldn’t help but curse under their breath.

This was clearly a soul cultivated using Chaos Mist as the base; Abyssal Big Mouth didn’t know whether this counted as creating consciousness or not.

Ange stuffed the Chaos Soul Fla into the body of the Dark Origin and began to sing softly:

Undead Spirit—

With Indestructible Soul—

Cross over the river of past life—

The Monarch’s spirit shook: “Undead Hymn!? No, that’s not it—the hymn the witches sing doesn’t have this effect.”

Because as Ange sang, two apparitions manifested, wailing around the body of the Dark Origin, sounding almost like a chorus.

This ti, it was Anthony’s turn to gasp: “Godly Illusions?”

Negris was slightly astonished: “Isn’t this just Dumi? What Godly Illusions? Aren’t Godly Illusions just sothing you Church folks made up? Illusions to deceive people?”

Anthony nodded: “The Church’s thing is a deception, all that about divine incarnation, signs from heaven, Path of Light, Holy Spirit Guidance—once Divine Power is exerted, it supposedly projects the illusion of gods and such, all made up.”

“But that’s not what this is. This isn’t Dumi; these are manifestations of Divine Power by the adult, and they’re not illusory. They have attacking power, which fits the definition of Godly Illusions exactly.”

Negris was briefly lost in thought, then suddenly remarked: “Does that an, Godly Illusions aren’t made up, it’s just that the Gods of Light don’t have the ability to manifest illusions, so it sounds made up?”

Anthony nodded: “It’s possible. Perhaps the Dragon God or the God of Life has manifested before, so there are records of it that the Church of Light wove into the Holy Code.”

Negris said with satisfaction: “This kid has co a long way, showing signs and portents with just a wave of his hand.

After speaking, he felt sothing wasn’t quite right, and whispered: “The Dark Origin is just disconnected, isn’t wrangling its body like this a bit too much? What if it projects here and gets angry?”

Anthony shook his head: “The adult wouldn’t do anything rash, there must be so discovery, and besides, let him be angry. It’s an honor for him to be toyed with by the adult.”

Negris blinked, feeling an odd sense of déjà vu with this line—it sounded all too familiar, akin to the way sycophants in knight novels would say, ‘The Earl playing with you is an honor.’

Just then, the Dark Origin suddenly sat up with an alard expression on its face.

Negris covered his eyes; indeed, a projection had arrived. This was troubleso—what if he discovered that Ange was tampering with his body? He wouldn’t get angry, would he?

However, both the Monarch and Abyssal Big Mouth noticed sothing amiss. Dark Origin’s aura didn’t seem like that of a re projection for it had weakened significantly.

The fearful looking Dark Origin blinked his eyes, glanced around as if recalling sothing, and slowly stood up. But upon standing, he realized sothing was off about himself. He raised his hands, looking at them quizzically, and asked, “What have you done to ?”

Abyssal Big Mouth opened its mouth, but before it could speak, Anthony interjected, “We were about to ask you the sa thing. What happened? You suddenly fainted. The Earl thought you were dead and was trying to resuscitate you.”

“Fainted?” Dark Origin was stunned, seemingly rembering sothing, then displayed a terrified expression, “I… I might have died.”

Everyone, except for Ange, looked at each other in bewildernt, “You look perfectly fine now. How can you be dead?”

Dark Origin was also puzzled and hesitantly said, “I felt an infinitesimal burst of light exploding inside my own entity, and then my vision went dark. Now, I… I can’t feel my own entity anymore.”

Negris beca even more confused, “You can’t feel your own entity, so how are you talking to us? Does your avatar have an independent soul? Even if it had an independent soul, it wouldn’t have independent mories.”

“Exactly, that’s what I was thinking. Did you do sothing to ?” said Dark Origin, his face full of confusion.

Anthony, in a sudden outburst, slapped his thigh and exclaid, “I got it, I got it—the Holy Shroud!”

Negris also caught on in an instant, “Witch-lich’s Coffin! You really did die!”

Hearing this, the Monarch looked around at the surrounding tents and nodded as if he understood.

Seeing the puzzled look on Abyssal Big Mouth and Dark Origin’s faces, Anthony explained, “This kind of Holy Shroud has a special ability—it locks away consciousness. Among the Undead, the witches can preserve their souls and mories using the Witch-lich’s Coffin. When the original body dies, the coffin automatically brings about rebirth.”

“Now, your original body died for so unknown reason, but at that mont, you happened to be inside the Holy Shroud. Your consciousness got locked in, acting like a reverse Witch-lich’s Coffin. After the Earl’s manipulation, he reconstructed a soul for you to carry your consciousness, and you were reborn.”

Dark Origin looked left and right, then fell into deep thought.

Abyssal Big Mouth leaned in, whispering softly, “The Mummy Cloth really has that kind of power? How much for it? Sell so to . You promised before.”

“You want to buy so? Wait until we go outside and look for the silver coin,” Anthony whispered back, “he is specially in charge of comrce and is kind-hearted. He won’t cheat you.”

“That’s great then. I like kind-hearted beings the most,” Abyssal Big Mouth’s cheeks twitched. If it hadn’t already heard of the God of Fraudster’s reputation, it might have believed that statent.

After much contemplation, Dark Origin raised his head and sighed, “It seems I really am dead. That mory of the ‘light’ exploding, it looks like the Void Will has made its move against . It detonated .”

The Monarch, confused, comnted, “Aren’t you also one of the Void Origins? Can you be eliminated so easily? Doesn’t it require a battle of hundreds of rounds? If the Void Origin can just kill you off-hand, I need to reassess his strength. Is it still tily to run away?”

“Very normal,” the Abyssal Big Mouth interjected, “The dark entity has always been sealed by the Void Will. It’s easy to kill. But out of the blue, why would he kill you?”

Depressed, Dark Origin said, “What else could it do? Obviously, it’s to restore the Ancient Godlight. From the mont it sealed , I knew what it wanted to do, just didn’t expect it to co so suddenly.”

“I had so hope when you said there was a chance to eliminate it. I didn’t expect it to detonate my entity just now.”

It was truly a sad occurrence. It was like a eunuch singer who finally regenerated his manhood, only to realize he was impotent. Negris understood that feeling too well, sympathetically patting his shoulder.

Dark Origin clenched his teeth fiercely and said, “I was already prepared. Its sudden action in detonating was probably to prevent from harming it. However, it definitely didn’t anticipate that I would be reborn in this manner.”

“Folks, this might be our best chance to annihilate it. In detonating my entity, attempting to restore the Ancient Godlight, it will also be in its most unguarded state. If you can take back to the location of my entity, just getting close enough will allow to detonate the Imprint I left inside and destroy both my entity and the Void Will together.”

“Damn it, to dare kill , I won’t let it off easy even in death!” Dark Origin grumbled resentfully.
