Evelyn Clayton could even feel the slight tremor in Jas Grant’s chest as he spoke, along with the scent of agarwood on him.
What made it worse was that Jas’s robe was loosely tied, and everywhere she looked, she saw his firm chest and abdominal muscles.
With an expression as if he was enjoying the spectacle, Jas deliberately tilted his head and looked at her, "Your face is so red, are you sick? Let check for you."
He cupped Evelyn’s face, pressing his forehead against hers, and after three seconds, said, "No fever."
Their breaths intertwined.
Their eyes t, and the depth in Jas’s gaze seed unable to suppress his desire.
Evelyn’s heart was racing so fast it felt like it would leap from her throat.
Seduced by Jas’s proximity, she wanted to push his hand away but ended up holding onto it instead.
"Let go of ."
"Let check here too."
Before Evelyn could respond, he had already kissed her.
Jas’s kiss was domineering, not allowing her to evade, not even allowing her to remain still; she had to cooperate.
The air in her mouth was plundered by the man savoring the taste, and Evelyn’s vision gradually blurred.
If it weren’t for soone passing by, when Jas let her go, she might have thought she would suffocate.
It turned out to be a staff mber from the villa.
Seeing them, the staff mber bowed awkwardly, "I’m really sorry, please continue as if I was never here."
Evelyn wanted to explain, but the person had already walked away.
Annoyed, she glared at Jas, her face red to almost dripping blood.
Back at the door, her rational mind returned, and she stopped Jas from opening it.
"Want to? In my room or yours?"
Evelyn rolled her eyes at him, "Seriously, how long is the drive back from here?"
"About the sa as coming here."
"Then let’s go back. Iris, though silly, isn’t short on tricks. If she finds out we ran into her with soone today, she’ll bla us. I’d rather avoid trouble and head back to the city."
Jas had no objections, except for one thing.
"Why are we taking this road? My place is up ahead, turn left."
"We’re going to my place."
"Why go to your place..." Evelyn’s voice grew softer as she spoke.
What else could a single man and woman do?
"Finish what we didn’t complete in the hallway." At a red light, Jas’s eyes wandered over her, filled with teasing.
Seeing this made Evelyn’s whole body warm, and she could only lower the car window to get so fresh air.
——
The next morning, Jas drove her to the company.
Since the Starlight Project was very important, with Yara Reagan overseeing the studio, she spent more ti working at The Grant Group.
When they entered the elevator together, the employees’ eyes full of gossip lingered on them, not daring to speak, but their minds were abuzz.
Evelyn stood at the front of the crowd, feeling sowhat tortured.
If she’d known, she would’ve gotten up earlier and declined Jas’s offer to commute together.
But tired out by Jas last night, she overslept and had no choice but to ride with him.
That damn Jas always left her so worn out, while he seed as fresh as ever.
Clenching her fists, Evelyn shot him a daggered look.
Receiving her gaze, Jas turned to look at her, his affectionate eyes slightly narrowed, showing a bit of playfulness.
"Hmm?"
"Nothing."
Walking out of the elevator with Jas, she could clearly feel the atmosphere in the elevator livening up after they’d left.
"Did you see that? The way Director Grant looked at her, it killed ..."
Evelyn almost tripped.
Grinding her back teeth, she told Jas, "Next ti, I’m not taking your car to work."
"As long as you can get up."
"Then stop wearing out!"
Jas’s eyes narrowed slightly, "I can’t guarantee that."
Evelyn’s response was a graceful retreating figure.
