The people sent by Shane Sinclair arrived quickly, and soon thereafter, the hotel staff returned as well.
Upon learning that the hotel staff had fled because they saw soone with a gun on the street, Shane Sinclair was adamant that Evelyn Clayton could not continue staying at this hotel.
The door to Evelyn Clayton’s hotel room had been violently broken into, her belongings were stolen, but thankfully her docunts were still there. Evelyn packed up briefly and left the room with the people sent by Shane Sinclair.
When she reached the lobby on the ground floor, Evelyn Clayton saw Jas Grant once more.
Jas Grant was talking to soone next to him, and when he caught sight of Evelyn Clayton out of the corner of his eye, his eyes lit up slightly. He wanted to step forward and say sothing, but held himself back.
The bodyguard sent by Shane Sinclair watched Jas Grant vigilantly and escorted Evelyn Clayton out of the hotel door.
Evelyn Clayton no longer paid attention to Jas Grant, walked out, got into the car, and left without looking back.
The bodyguard took her to a villa in the suburbs, a property of the Sinclair Family, isolated but extrely secure.
There were guards inside and outside the villa, and Evelyn Clayton couldn’t quite describe how she felt.
Jas Grant’s appearance felt like a bomb buried in a deep pool, ready to explode at any mont. Although it hadn’t hard Evelyn Clayton yet, it was enough to keep her restless.
That night, Evelyn Clayton barely slept.
At dawn, Shane Sinclair arrived.
Evelyn Clayton was having breakfast when Shane Sinclair entered and imdiately checked her thoroughly.
"I’m fine," Evelyn Clayton couldn’t help but laugh, "Why are you so nervous?"
Shane Sinclair kept a stern face, "Where is Jas Grant? He didn’t do anything to you, did he?"
Evelyn Clayton shook her head, "I parted ways with him afterward. I have no idea where he’s gone, and he doesn’t know where I am either."
"That’s good." Shane Sinclair’s brow remained furrowed, "Get ready. We’ll leave soon. It will be inconvenient if we delay any longer."
Evelyn Clayton agreed, went back to pack a few things, and got ready to leave.
The daylight was bright, and the autumn morning air in Paris was dry and cold. As Evelyn Clayton stepped out, she sneezed.
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Shane Sinclair pause, and she instinctively asked, "What’s wrong, brother—"
She stopped as well, instinctively looking towards the tree-lined path outside the villa’s garden gate.
There, a black McLaren was parked, the car door opened, and Jas Grant slowly stepped out.
Not just Shane Sinclair, Evelyn Clayton’s expression also turned cold.
Jas Grant stood there for a long ti before making up his mind and walked forward with determination.
He paid no attention to Shane Sinclair’s icy gaze, striding directly toward Evelyn Clayton, stopping just steps away from her as though afraid that another step forward would provoke her.
Evelyn Clayton stared at him coldly and said in a chilly tone, "Director Grant, are you following us?"
"Yes," Jas Grant admitted with a frightening honesty, "I’ve been following you... but I have no other intentions. I just want to talk to you."
Shane Sinclair stood in front of Evelyn Clayton, gazing coldly at Jas Grant, "If Mr. Grant has anything to say, you can talk to . I’m Evelyn’s brother, Shane Sinclair."
Jas Grant t Shane Sinclair’s eyes, and a trace of impatience flickered in his own.
Suppressing the coldness in his eyes, he spoke indifferently, "Director Sinclair, I’ve heard of you. However, I never knew Evelyn had a brother like you."
Shane Sinclair’s gaze was sharp, "It’s normal for you not to know. After all, she is Shannon, not the person you knew."
