Evelyn Clayton’s expression changed slightly, "What did you say?"
"I said I had sothing to do..." Yara Reagan lightly clicked her tongue, "I feel like he probably doesn’t know, otherwise he wouldn’t be so calm, but why does he know you’re in Aethelburg?"
After thinking for a long ti, Evelyn Clayton rembered what Pauline Warren and her husband had said.
Soone had co to the Sinclair Family during her injury, but they were all blocked outside.
Could that person be Jas Grant?
Evelyn Clayton frowned and whispered, "You don’t need to worry about him for now, don’t let him know your movents."
"Okay, don’t worry, I told everyone I’m traveling, bought two tickets, and had Rhys Jacobs buy the one to Aethelburg, so absolutely won’t be exposed!"

With such anxiety and unease, she waited a day and a night, the next morning, a nurse ca in.
"Miss Clayton, your friend is here to see you."
Evelyn Clayton hurriedly got up, looking with hope, and the door to the hospital room was pushed open.
But the mont she saw the visitor, Evelyn Clayton’s expression changed slightly.
She stood there in a daze, looking at Jas Grant, who had clearly beco much more haggard, his expression complex and grim.
The two stared at each other for a long ti, and Jas Grant spoke sowhat dazedly, "You—"
The man’s voice was hoarse, unable to continue after just one word, his eyes slightly red, firmly fixing on Evelyn Clayton.
The words reached Evelyn Clayton’s lips, but she couldn’t say them.
She withdrew her gaze, almost a bit helplessly looking around the room, before finally calming down.
Evelyn Clayton turned around and said indifferently, "Sit down first."
Jas Grant seed to be pricked by a needle, a ripple appearing montarily in his eyes.
His hand hanging on one side slightly tightened, and after a mont, he strode forward, grabbing Evelyn Clayton’s arm and pulling her into his embrace.
Then, Jas Grant unceremoniously grasped Evelyn Clayton’s chin, forcing her to et his gaze.
Jas Grant’s action was not gentle, causing Evelyn Clayton to frown, and the wounds on her body that had yet to heal suddenly started to ache faintly.
She instinctively struggled, wanting to escape Jas Grant’s embrace, but his hand slightly tightened, not giving her the chance.
"Why..."
Being so close, Evelyn Clayton could see Jas Grant’s trembling lips and the red corners of his eyes.
He t Evelyn Clayton’s gaze, his eyes filled with hurt, "Why wasn’t I the first person you contacted?"
Evelyn Clayton clenched her back teeth, her gaze shifting slightly, not answering Jas Grant’s question.
"Speak!"
Jas Grant almost shouted.
"What do you want to say?" Evelyn Clayton said like smashing a broken pot, "Say why I didn’t contact you? Does that matter?"
Jas Grant’s heart felt as if a large hand had fiercely tightened and then released it, making him unbearably uncomfortable.
He stared at Evelyn Clayton fiercely, like a trapped beast fighting, just wanting to see even a shred of guilt on the face of the person in front of him.
"Do you know how worried I was about you?" Jas Grant’s voice was barely detectable with a hint of choke, "I thought you were dead, I thought you would never co back!"
"And you, you’re clearly fine, but the first person you contact isn’t ... Evelyn Clayton, do you even have a heart?"
There was a bit of obscurity in Evelyn Clayton’s eyes.
She finally looked directly at Jas Grant, after a long ti, she curled her lips mockingly and smiled.
"Do I have a heart? You’re asking this now? Jas Grant, are you angry because I didn’t notify you first, or because I have other things I’m hiding from you?"
"Since you’re here, let’s make things clear—You’ve t Gene Young, what have you learned from him?"
