"You’re truly a fool, always being manipulated by her! She’s pitting you brothers against each other. Clearly, she’s trying to have the best of both worlds."

Clara spoke more fervently as she went on.

She wanted to trample Evelyn underfoot in front of Jas, reducing her to nothing.

Jas’ anger burned more intensely in his eyes.

Though he knew this woman was trying to sow discord, he had to admit that a tiny part of his heart wavered.
