Chapter 94

~Xade’s POV~

"Silvie."

Her na left my mouth before I could stop it.

For a brief mont, confusion flickered through my mind. Silvie, standing in my office was not sothing I had expected today. She rarely ca anywhere near unless she had a reason.

And knowing her... there was always a reason.

She stepped fully into the room and closed the door behind her before walking toward the chair in front of my desk.

Her movents were slow, carefully calculated, like a predator that already believed it had won.

I watched her quietly.

"Shouldn’t you be in class?" I asked.

Silvie didn’t answer imdiately. Instead, she sat down in the chair across from , crossing her legs casually as she leaned back like she owned the space.

A small smile tugged at her lips. "Well, I am in class." My brow arched in silent questioning. She briefly waved, smiling like she hadn’t said sothing absurd. "I wanted to see how you were doing."

My eyes narrowed slightly. "That concern is touching," I replied evenly. "But this is a professional setting. If you ca here for counseling, then we can talk. If not, you should leave."

Silvie tilted her head slightly, studying and after a few seconds, she leaned further back into the chair.

"And what if I tell you I have a problem that needs your help?"

I exhaled slowly and leaned back into my seat.

"Speak," I said calmly. "When I hear the problem, I’ll consider it."

Silvie scoffed softly, then a small smile lit her face again, this ti at again.

"That’s not very professional of you, Xade."

"Professor Xade, to you," I corrected without hesitation.

She raised both hands in mock surrender. "Alright, Professor Xade." Her voice carried a hint of amusent now. "Then, I’ll take that as a sign to proceed."

I knew that whether I allowed it or not, Silvie would still tell whatever story she had co here to deliver.

Not wanting to seem affected by her, my expression remained cold, and professional. Her smile widened slightly.

"I’m in love."

I stared at her, completely expressionless. Silvie frowned slightly. "You’re not shocked?" she asked.

"Nope."

Her irritation was subtle but visible. "Well, I am," she continued. "And a friend of mine likes the guy back."

Interesting. I doubted that "friend" of hers existed. More likely, she was talking about Jade. Still, no words concerning her problem escaped my lips.

"And then they seem to like her too and—"

They! Bingo, she slipped.

"If this is about my brothers and our mate," I interrupted, leaning forward on the desk while folding my hands in front of , "then I suggest you shut the hell up and fuck off from my office."

Silvie didn’t look offended. In fact, she smiled, a slow, pleased smile that made my instincts imdiately sharpen.

"Glad you said that," she replied smoothly. "Because the real problem I’m having is when a professor fuck a student right on school premises."

My eyes narrowed. "Excuse ?" I said slowly. "No one—"

"Not no one," she cut in calmly. "Your brother Xander and Jade."

The fuck! How could Xander and Jade be so careless as to...

Silvie crossed her arms over her chest as she watched my reaction, but even as I was spiralling inside, I kept my cool. Years of intense training had taught how to control my reactions under pressure.

"I wonder what the Principal would say if word got out."

"You’re lying," I said flatly.

Her smile remained. "Am I?" My jaw tightened slightly. "Because I’m pretty sure having a recording of them when she was busy—"

"Then show ," I interrupted.

Silvie froze. "What?"

"Show ," I repeated calmly. "If you are going to accuse soone, the least you can do is provide proof."

I leaned forward slightly, taking charge of the room and the conversation. "Now show the recording."

Ares stirred beneath the surface as irritation crept into my voice. "Or I make you suffer for lying."

My alpha eyes flashed through for a mont. The red glow in my eyes made Silvie flinch despite herself. Actually, for a gamma’s daughter, she knew better than to toy with my brothers and I.

Although our father was a powerful Lycan King’s Beta, our mother had been a werewolf regional Alpha’s daughter, which we inherited along with dad’s lycan abilities.

The air in the room shifted instantly. "So," I continued quietly. "Where is your proof?"

Silvie looked shaken for a mont, but then she straightened her shoulders again. "No."

My brows pulled together slightly. "No?"

"I’m not giving it to you," she replied stubbornly. "You could destroy it."

"I stand for the truth," I said coldly.

She shook her head, clearly not convinced or playing . Irrespective, she still disobeyed , knowing what could happen. "No."

I leaned closer across the desk. "And I know for a fact that was because you have no proof," I said quietly. "You’re lying."

Silvie’s expression snapped instantly. Anger spread across her face, plain and unmistakable. Her jaw clenched, and her eyes burned with frustration.

"Now," I said softly, my voice turning deadly calm, "either you get out... or I call security and have them throw you out of my office and out of this school today."

She stared at , trying to push again and to provoke , but I wasn’t entertaining any of it.

"Out," I said. "Now."

Silvie remained seated for another mont before finally standing up. She walked toward the door stiffly, clearly furious that her attempt had failed.

But just before she grabbed the doorknob, she stopped and turned back to face .

Her expression held a sharp edge now.

"If you think I’m lying," she said slowly, "maybe you should check why she and Professor Xander are both slling deeply like each other... if they didn’t spend almost the entire break locked inside the gym room."

My jaw tightened. "Get—"

"Oh, I know," she cut in smoothly. Her cruel smile returned. "It’s because they were fucking each other right behind you and Professor Xavier’s backs."

"NOW!" I roared, cutting short anymore lie or attempot to tear us apart.

My voice slamd through the office like thunder. Silvie flinched and quickly opened the door before hurrying out into the hallway.

The door slamd shut behind her and the office fell silent again. My chest rose slowly as my mind replayed her words.

I didn’t believe her for a second. Yet sothing deep in my instincts stirred uneasily.

And I hated it.

"Fuck it!"
