Alia returned to the office, an hour later to find a massive bouquet sitting on her secretary's desk.
"Good day, ma'am." Rebecca stood up beaming at the dazzling conspicuous diamond ring on her boss's finger. "And congratulations on your engagent."
"Oh... Thank you." Alia could tell Rebecca had also seen the current trending post on Instagram. "Who are those beautiful flowers ant for?"
"It ca in earlier this morning for you ma'am."
"Really!" Alia ca closer to inspect the flower. She picked up the folded note in it and read it out. "From your secret admirer."
"Hmm... interesting. I wonder who this admirer could be." Alia said, unsure if it was from her mysterious husband or soone else.
"Ma'am, I'll take that." Pascal stepped forward, to inspect the flower for any hidden dangerous device. "When I'm done scanning it, I'll bring it back into your office."
"Nah. I don't need it. You can give it away." Alia turned her attention back to her secretary. "Bring the report on the HLM 24 super serum skin glow."
"Yes, ma'am." Rebecca hurriedly picked up the already organized folder on her desk and followed Alia into her office.
After Alia was done going through the folder, she changed into her Lab attire and left for the quality control costic laboratory, where two won and a man dressed up scientific clothing, were buried in their work, testing out so new products.
"Good morning, ma'am." They all greeted her as she pushed open the glass door.
"Carry on," Alia said, as she made her way to her table which was slightly covered with chemicals and laboratory apparatus.
Strapping on her gloves, goggles and headgear, she resud her work for the day, perfecting her newest skin glow product.
After spending almost five hours working at the costic lab, Alia returned to her office feeling a little bit drained.
The first thing that caught her attention was a small fancy shopping bag sitting on her desk and beside it were so mouth-watering dishes in transparent takeaway plates.
"What is going on here?" Alia strolled over to her desk and picked up the intercom.
"Rebecca, co to my office now." She dropped the intercom and sat down, her slightly piqued gaze on the captivating package before her.
Rebecca hurried into the office, closely followed by Pascal.
"What is the aning of this and why did you bring it into my office without my permission?" Alia queried in a harsh tone thinking it was a package from the secret admirer.
"I'm sorry ma'am but your bodyguard insisted that I should drop them here," Rebecca replied in a trembling voice, afraid of losing her job again.
"You did?" Alia turned to Pascal, her heart beating fast, as she could guess who it ca from.
"Yes ma'am."
"Rebecca, you may leave," Alia said dismissively, her glistening eyes reverting to the items on the table. She waited for Rebecca to shut the door before asking.
"Is it from Mr Anderson?"
"Yes, ma'am," Pascal replied. "He said you must never skip your lunch and the item in the red bag is a gift which contains an inbuilt tracking device. He said you must always put it on at all tis for your safety."
"Thank you, Pascal. You may also leave." Alia waited until Pascal had shut the door behind him before expressing her excitent. She quickly brought out the fancy jewellery box in the bag and opened it.
"Wow!" Her eyes widened at the beauty before her. It was an eighteen-carat yellow-gold erald and diamond bracelet, one of the most expensive jewellery in the world.
Alia stroked the piece of jewellery with so much affection puzzled at the reason why Blaze was spending so much on her.
'Was this one of his plans to buy her affection?' She pondered as she picked up the bracelet and tried it on. She admired the way the bracelet complinted her skin tone, beaming to herself.
"Well, he can buy the whole world but I'll never fall for him," Alia reassured herself.
Feeling her stomach growl at the sight of the food on the table, she wasted no ti satisfying her hunger before returning to work.
After a brief eting with the marketing, planning and finance manager, concerning the new product launch, an event date was fixed.
By the end of the day, Alia was satisfied with all her achievents for the day. She was on her way out of the company with her bodyguard when she received a call from a contact not registered on her phone.
Hesitating a bit, she swiped the receive button and said, "Hello."
"Hi Alia, it's your new friend, Tina Stevens."
Alia felt her heart skip a beat. She stopped at the entrance, a little panicked as she recalled Blaze's stern warning and so other information she uncovered linking Blaze to the mystery boyfriend Tina was talking so passionately about.
"Ma'am, are you all right?" Pascal asked.
Alia covered the phone mouthpiece and replied.
"Yes, let's go." She resus walking out of the building and towards her awaiting car.
"Hello, Alia are you there?"
Alia heard Tina's soft voice echo in her ears.
"Yes, dear. How did you get my number?" Alia asked, acknowledging Lance before entering the car.
"Please don't be offended, I had to bug a few of our friends before I got it."
"No harm done. So how are you?"
"I'm great. I saw your pictures and the engagent ring. Congratulation."
"Thank you." Alia gulped down the lump in her throat.
"Care to join for a celebration drink?"
"I think I'll pass. I'm already exhausted from work."
"How about tomorrow or the day after?" Tina was persistent.
"My schedule is kind of busy this week but I'll contact you if it's possible."
"Okay. Make sure you save my number on your contact list."
"I will do that right away once I drop the call."
"All right, it was nice talking to you. See you later, girlfriend."
"Good night." Alia quickly ended the call, blowing out air through her mouth.
Pascal who had been eavesdropping on Alia's call quickly sent a ssage to his ghost team for her last call to traced back to the caller and the identity of the caller revealed.

The next day, Alia resud to work quite early to finish up the previous day's outstanding and prepare for her general eting by 10:00 AM. She was in the middle of organizing a project when she received a call from her father informing her that her grandmother had just had a minor stroke and has been rushed to the hospital.
