Chapter 949: Chapter 947: Be My Lackey
Looking at the Magic Knights charging for the third ti, both Wizards’ faces turned pale, realizing for the first and last ti just how troubleso the Magic Knights were.
Successfully approaching the Wizards, the Magic Knight swung his sword down fiercely, and the Wizard struggled to raise a Shield for defense.
Under continuous attacks, the Shield set up by the Wizard shattered quickly. The Brown-eyed Wizard hurried to erect a second Shield but was surrounded from behind by two Magic Knight Squad Leaders. Without any courtesy, the two Magic Knight Squad Leaders used all their strength to smash their elbow, wrapped in thick Armor.
“Bang, bang,” one hit the Brown-eyed Wizard’s back, and the other hit the back of his neck.
“Thud!”
The Brown-eyed Wizard, who was about to continue casting, rolled his eyes white, not even having ti to struggle, and directly collapsed to the ground unconscious, captured by the remaining Magic Knights.
The remaining Grey-eyed Wizard saw this, eyes nearly popping out, casting spells frantically in an attempt to reclaim his companion from the Magic Knights.
Just then, a golden figure slamd into his chest, “Clatter” sound shattering his Shield and interrupting his spellcasting — it was Sed, the always reserved Deputy Commander of the Magic Knights.
Before the Grey-eyed Wizard could react, Sed’s right hand held a dagger that pierced into the Grey-eyed Wizard’s abdon with a “plunge.”
Then, the dagger in Sed’s left hand aid at the chest of the Grey-eyed Wizard, preparing to end him.
Feeling the wrenching pain in his abdon, the Grey-eyed Wizard gritted his teeth, gazed at Sed who was within reach, with a mad look in his eyes, ready to fight desperately.
Sed’s eyes flashed, a foot kicked the Grey-eyed Wizard, deftly withdrawing the dagger from his abdon, retreating with his subordinates and the captured Brown-eyed Wizard dozens of ters away, leaving the severely injured Grey-eyed Wizard at the original spot.
The Grey-eyed Wizard, who was ready to fight desperately, suddenly found no target to attack, stunned for a mont. Then he gazed at Sed dozens of ters away, feeling the tearing pain in his abdon, revealing a venomous look.
Sed, maintaining his usual deanor, calmly said to the Grey-eyed Wizard, “I know you want to die together with , but I won’t cooperate with you, just like before you didn’t cooperate with .”
The Grey-eyed Wizard’s facial muscles twitched, unsure if it was anger or pain. Slowly squatting down, one hand pressing the wound on his abdon, the other supporting himself on the ground, his eyes locked onto Sed.
Sed exhaled and said slowly, “However, out of Pompo Family’s compassion, I can give you one last chance.
As long as you are willing to cooperate, you can receive treatnt and live well. Otherwise, dragged by the current injury, even if you are a Wizard, you will die soon.
Believe , a dead Wizard holds no value for the Pompo Family, only a living Wizard does. If you give up continuing to fight, Pompo Family can absolve you of your past responsibilities and even help you advance to a higher Wizard Level — for a Wandering Wizard like you, this is a dream co true, isn’t it?”
The Grey-eyed Wizard listened to the words, continued to stare at Sed, without answering a word.
At this mont, he was extrely alert, fearing that if he spoke and let his Spirit relax, Sed would rush up for a fatal strike. Sed, a Seven-pattern Great Magic Knight, facing him head-on wouldn’t fall behind, and now in his severely injured state, he definitely couldn’t defend against Sed’s surprise attack.
Ti slowly passed, the Grey-eyed Wizard noticed so impatience appearing on Sed’s face, and felt his body growing weaker due to blood loss, his Spirit becoming more alert.
His expression showed so struggle, seemingly hesitating, unsure whether to trust Sed or fight one last ti.
The Grey-eyed Wizard glanced towards the distance with the corner of his eye, suddenly retracting his gaze quickly as if scalded by sothing.
At that mont, a group of people erged from the crowd, one girl and two boys.
The girl was only sixteen or seventeen, considered a big girl, but with heavy makeup, lacking any innocence or loveliness.
Her lips were painted purplish-black, eyeshadow heavily smoky black, her cheeks were snow white without a trace of blood, like a legendary Vampire, with a quite Gothic dark style. Her eyes seed to have stayed up all night, filled with blood streaks and weary eyelids drooping, slowly walked out of the crowd, heading towards Sed, the Deputy Commander of the Magic Knights.
She was Annie Pampou, the eleventh-generation Direct Lineage eldest Miss of the Pompo Family — with a high Wizard Talent, young as she was already a First-level Wizard. Although it was rumored that it was piled with Magic Potion, undeniably possessing strong Extraordinary Power. Added with her erratic behavior, unpredictability, with a mad temperant, feared by many.
As for the two handso youths following her, they paled in comparison, although possessing Wizard Apprentice cultivation, they were no more than her Guards. More accurately, they were her attendants, insufficiently competent to protect her.
Annie Pampou erged from the crowd, approached Sed, glanced up at the Grey-eyed Wizard, yawned, and asked, “I just heard in the city that soone was causing trouble by the city gate, so I ca out to take a look. Is it this guy?”
“Yes, Miss Annie,” Sed replied.
“He seems to be holding on, hasn’t given up resistance, why, is he not afraid of death?” Annie asked.
Sed replied, “A little.”
“Alright, I’m quite bored, why don’t I talk to him?” Annie yawned again, speaking while stepping towards the Grey-eyed Wizard.
Sed, startled, quickly reached out to block her, advised quietly, “Miss Annie, be careful, this guy is sowhat peculiar.
He was caught transporting contraband into the city, apparently having had enough chance to escape, yet insisted on leaving with the goods, only to be stopped by us. After being stopped, he was completely uncooperative, seemingly bent on seeking death, very abnormal. I now suspect he may have so plot, must stay alert before getting to the bottom of it.”
“What’s to fear!” Annie rolled her eyes, glanced sideways at the Grey-eyed Wizard, pursed her lips, “Can he still hurt in such a half-dead state now? My Wizard Level is not ornantal. Besides, with so many of you here, can’t one person be stopped? Then what use is my family of you?”
“This…” Sed hesitated.
“Hmph, that’s it, let talk to him,” Annie said, knocking off Sed’s blocking arm, walked to a spot only a few ters from the Grey-eyed Wizard.
Slightly raised her head, sideways: “Hey, the Grey-eyed guy, out of courtesy, let’s introduce myself first — my na is Annie, Annie Pampou. Alright, introductions done, let’s talk business.
It’s said you’re causing trouble in Saint Louis City? Huh, really asking for death. Now you’ve fallen into my family’s hands, I give you two choices: either surrender, sign a Spell contract with my family, take a specific Magic Potion, and beco a dog of my family. Or, I will now blast your head off, turn you into a dead dog. You choose!”
After speaking, Annie continued looking at the Grey-eyed Wizard with her head tilted, waiting for his response.
