Chapter 270: Chapter 269 Task Execution Chapter 270: Chapter 269 Task Execution “You don’t understand, Suo n,” said the woman nad Mu Konni, addressing the man, “I don’t just want to beco a woman or a man, that’s too dull for . I’m not like you people. I’m after a certain beauty, a kind that intoxicates my inner self, which is why I keep switching bodies, becoming both a woman and a man.

Finally, after many attempts, I decided that a woman’s body suits best, but my original voice was the best. Combined, they make who I am now.”

As Mu Konni spoke, she gently bit her onion-white fingers, exuding a myriad of charm, yet to everyone’s astonishnt, her voice was male, making it exceptionally hard to accept.

Suo n felt a surge of acid rise from his stomach, suppressing the urge to vomit, and changed the subject, “Let’s talk about the mission instead. You should be aware of this mission, shouldn’t you?”

“What’s there not to know? It’s just killing soone or sothing like that, all minor issues,” Mu Konni remarked with a magnetic male voice, her expression slightly petulant, “What I can’t accept, though, is why are we assigned these minor tasks but not given the corresponding points? Hmph, is it because we are new transfers to this area, and they think they can treat us like slaves to be exploited at will?”

Suo n’s eyes flickered, “You’re overthinking it. It’s probably because the higher-ups find it too botherso to count points for a bunch of minor tasks. On the larger missions, I believe there will be compensation for us.

Besides, though minor tasks offer no points, we still need to be cautious. Who knows what kind of troubleso people we might encounter during a task. Not having points for tasks is bad enough, but ssing up would be even worse.”

“Heh, I’m not afraid!” Mu Konni said, casting a flirtatious look at Suo n, “I have you, don’t I, Suo n?”

“What about ?” asked Suo n.

“You are a powerful being,” Mu Konni said. “You killed the last Dragon in this world; what a great honor! Do you know what everyone quietly calls you behind your back—Dragon Slayer Suo n. Ha ha, with the Dragon Slayer Suo n here, why should I fear ssing up?”

Suo n kept a straight face and said slowly, “I did kill the Dragon, but it was all thanks to learning and using a series of magic spells specialized for combating Giant Dragons, which reduced the Dragon’s strength by less than a third. Now that Dragons are extinct, those spells I learned are practically useless. In terms of strength, you and I are quite similar.”

“Ha ha, Suo n, you are being modest,” said Mu Konni, then as if suddenly rembering sothing, she added, “Right, there’s another nickna people have for you behind your back—Tragic Death Suo n—since, despite killing the Dragon, you died mysteriously once, ha ha.” By the end, Mu Konni was laughing so uncontrollably that she shook all over.

Suo n’s expression darkened slightly, unsure whether Mu Konni was complinting him or mocking him. Looking at Mu Konni, Suo n said, “If that’s the case, then do people behind your back call you—gender-mixer Mu Konni?”

Mu Konni listened, a smile covering her face, and accepted it quite contentedly, “That’s not bad at all.”

Suo n: “…”

After a mont of silence, Suo n spoke, sincerely, “Alright, let’s discuss the mission’s details properly. You know the details of this mission, right?”

“I know, I know,” Mu Konni waved her hand impatiently, “Isn’t it about so Hallucinogenic Potion that seems to be spreading in White Stone Tower, so they sent us to kill the Pharmacist before it spreads completely and destroy all the Hallucinogenic Potion?

Honestly, I just don’t get it. It’s just a Hallucinogenic Potion, how bad can it be? It feels like we’re just soldiers catching thieves at this point, bothering with everything, annoying!”

Suo n said gravely, “That’s no ordinary Hallucinogenic Potion, it’s Molotov’s Flower. This potion has caused chaos and even disrupted so organizational plans on several occasions in the past because it wasn’t dealt with in ti.

With East Coast making big moves, the organization does not want this to interfere, so naturally, it needs to be resolved. Apart from this, there are many other issues that need to be addressed.”

“Humph, I knew it, I will be worked to death sooner or later,” Mu Konni said angrily, caressing her body, “Look at my beautiful body, wouldn’t it be nice to just stop and enjoy life, instead of being forced into endless tasks, such hardship!”

“If you want to rest, if you want to enjoy life, then stop complaining and finish this mission. Then you’ll have ti to rest, to enjoy life,” Suo n said.

“Alright, alright.” Mu Konni spoke up, her deanor suddenly that of a docile young lady, “What are you rushing for, I never said I wouldn’t do it. Alright, have you confird the target’s location?”

“Right beneath my feet, in the cellar,” said Suo n.

“Then let’s go.”

“Alright.”

As they spoke, the two stood up and walked toward the back of the tavern kitchen, like drunkards looking for a place to relieve themselves, attracting little attention.

They reached the back kitchen, walked straight to a room at the very back that stored ingredients, and lifted a plank from the floor to reveal a passage leading downward.

Entering the passage, they descended the stairs and soon ca to a heavy wooden door.

A torch intended for illumination was inserted next to the wooden door, and in front of the door was a strong man, leaning against the wall and snoring heavily.

Suo n and Mu Konni exchanged glances, and just as Suo n was about to make a move, Mu Konni stopped him.

Mu Konni narrowed her eyes slightly, smiled, crouched down, and shook the strong man awake.

The strong man opened his sleepy eyes, confusedly staring at Mu Konni’s face, stunned for a mont, unable to tell whether he was dreaming.

Then Mu Konni spoke, “Do I look good?”

It was a standard male voice.

The strong man shivered, startled by the bizarre contrast, and imdiately awoke, showing a wary expression, questioning, “Who… who are you? What are you doing here?”

“What I’m here for, don’t you know?” Mu Konni countered, “Do I really need to spell it out?”

Strangely, upon hearing Mu Konni’s words, the strong man seed to be provoked, his body trembling, his eyes widening, showing a slightly nervous expression, “You… I…”

“Don’t you really know? If so, I am very disappointed!” said Mu Konni.

The strong man’s deanor shifted from nervousness to fear, his eyes widening even more, his body slightly trembling, his words becoming inarticulate, “I… I…”
