“Puff puff!”

Various noises kept erupting. Under the efforts of a group of wizards, the fire spreading across the entirety of Pompeii Town was gradually suppressed and returned to normal.

The slabs covering the ground cracked as dust and ash were shaken into the air, clouding the atmosphere and blurring visibility.

The stone buildings on both sides of the street emitted a chilling sound. Although they were as strong as Supervisor Long i’er had ntioned, able to withstand earthquakes and spells, their foundations were proving inadequate.
It was visible; so stone buildings shifted conspicuously with the ground’s tremor, others tilted gradually, and so even sank downward.
“Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!”
The shaking intensified, and Richard stood on the ground, sensing the sulfur sll in the air suddenly beco much stronger.
He looked up towards the mountaintop and saw at the core of the already exploded peak, massive plus of black smoke erging again, accompanied by clouds of acrid white vapor.
Clearly, the sudden collapse of the energy system influenced the interior of the volcano, stirring signs of an imminent eruption.
By now, the other wizards had also noticed and turned their heads to look at the summit, their expressions changing drastically.
“Is the volcano going to erupt?”
“What’s going on? Didn’t we pour a large amount of Black Xuan Sand to stabilize it? It shouldn’t happen for years.”
“Who knows? Everything today feels strange: first the energy system losing control without reason, then the volcano on the brink of eruption.”
“If the volcano truly erupts, at least half of Pompeii needs rebuilding. We must prevent it.”
“How to stop it? Do you have a solution?”
“Forcibly cooling the volcano with magic might delay it a bit, but I can’t do it alone. We need cooperation. At least twenty third-level wizards proficient in Shape Energy Ice Magic are necessary, and soone must dare to risk entering the volcano’s heart to stabilize the magma flow.”
“Do you have confidence? If you truly do, I can assist you.”

Amid the wizards’ discussions, traces of the volcanic eruption beca more apparent, as faint sparks began to rise, likely signaling the imminent outflow of scorching magma.
The wizards displayed varied expressions, uncertain and bewildered.
Richard was among them, furrowing his brow, pondering whether he should find an opportunity to secretly return to the underground space beneath his residence and retrieve Eden. Otherwise, if the volcano did erupt and magma leaked below, damaging Eden would be disastrous.
Just at that mont, a wizard suddenly pointed towards the sky, exclaiming.
“Supervisor Long i’er!”
This shout drew many eyes skyward.
A golden figure streaked across the sky like a teor with a long flaming tail, approaching directly towards the volcano’s summit from outside of Pompeii Town.
Upon reaching a hundred ters above the summit, the figure exploded in dazzling golden light, emitting a golden beam with a diater of nearly one ter that stord into the volcano’s interior.
“Buzz buzz buzz!”
Instantly, the intensity of the earth’s trembling magnified severalfold.
The ground could no longer bear it; several stone buildings completely detached from their foundations, crashing into each other like bumper cars at an amusent park.
“Crunch!”
Despite their sturdiness, a crack appeared in one stone building at this mont.
Furthermore, other buildings tilted significantly before all eyes, and with a “snap”, they fell hard like a fly swatter slapping the ground.
Richard noticed his No.1248 Residence with one corner slowly rising. Raising a hand, a dense earth-yellow glow erged in his palm, ready to cast a spell to stop it.
After all, if an accident happened, the passage beneath his residence might be discovered.
However, just as he was about to act, the ground’s trembling suddenly eased, and the risen corner of the residence fell back.
He looked towards Supervisor Long i’er, seeing now that her golden beam had expanded to nearly two ters in diater, with unimaginable power slowly quelling the volcano’s pulses.
Just as everyone felt they could relax, a deep rumbling emanated from the volcano’s belly.
“Boom!”
This was the volcano’s final resistance.
Visibly, Long i’er’s beam steeply turned gray, followed by plus of white vapor and sparks spewing out, enveloping her.
Long i’er glanced over, yet showed no fear, instead shouting: “Good!”
The sound echoed across the entire mountain as Long i’er reached out both arms, grabbing towards the volcano’s interior forcefully, then sharply tugged upward.
“Buzz!”
As though sothing inside the volcano was torn apart, a massive cloud of rapidly expanding white vapor and dense sparks burst forth, attempting to spread.
At this mont Long i’er clasped her hands together.
The vapor and sparks were forcibly bound, compressed within a hundred-ter radius.
Long i’er pressed with her hands, and then lifted.
Bound beneath her, the vapor and sparks were forcibly moved upwards, rising towards the high sky.
Higher and higher, until at several thousand ters, with a “bang”, they exploded heavily.
Sparks scattered widely like a halo, shining for a few seconds before vanishing.
The nurous vapor notes crashed into the cloud layer, causing it to surge violently.
“Rumble!”
In the midst of blazing sunshine, a blinding flash of lightning traversed the clouds, and with a “splash”, torrential rain bizarrely began, with dense and hefty raindrops pounding down on the tattered Pompeii Town like stones.
In the rain, cloaked in golden light, Long i’er descended from the summit. During this process, droplets within a few ters around her spontaneously vaporized, leaving her untouched by the rain as she landed on the ground in Pompeii Town, scowling and serious.
Several wizards gathered around, speaking up, while others reported the situation.
“Supervisor, it was the energy system randomly losing control that caused all this.”
“Supervisor, this ti it’s estimated over a fifth of Pompeii’s buildings suffered damage.”
“Supervisor…”
Long i’er raised her right hand, gently pressing down, interrupting the talking wizards, and sternly said: “No need for more words, I understand already. Pompeii’s construction, after all, is unprecedented, the starting point of a new world; occasionally major accidents are acceptable. After speaking, Long i’er turned to lead the group of wizards towards the center of Pompeii Town.
Richard looked on, silently preparing to return to his residence, as Long i’er was ready for relief efforts, he also needed to participate.
Unexpectedly, after walking dozens of ters, Long i’er suddenly halted, looking towards him. Her lips moved briefly, as she called out: “Wizard Richard, you co too.”
