Richard appeared on the streets of Pompeii Town.
He saw that wizards were standing everywhere in Pompeii Town.
It seed that they were not hurt, but each maintained an almost motionless posture, watching the nearby energy nodes like telephone poles with vigilance.
These nodes specifically supplied power to the buildings in Pompeii Town. Now, a dazzling bright white energy appeared on their surfaces, like electricity, fluctuating extrely unstably, looking like they could explode at any mont.
This——
Richard stood on the street, not making any large movents, standing quietly like the other wizards, to avoid standing out too much, while a myriad of thoughts raced through his mind.
What is going on?
It seems that after the magic electromagnetic pulse spread out, part of its power weakened, which didn’t damage the wizard’s Magic Source in Pompeii Town, preventing suspicion. However, the remaining destructive power still acted on the energy system of Pompeii Town.
The energy system of Pompeii Town is too large, like a gigantic magnet, absorbing all the power of the magic electromagnetic pulse.
This caused Pompeii Town’s energy system to lose its usual stable state and start to lose control, leading to the current situation.
If this continues, it might indeed lead to a collapse of the energy system in Pompeii Town, which would be a small-scale disaster for Pompeii Town.
Thinking of this, Richard raised an eyebrow, seeing a cylindrical energy node about thirty ters away, its surface flashed red.
This change, like a signal, sparked "imitation" from all the other cylindrical energy nodes.
In just a few seconds, the cylindrical energy nodes throughout Pompeii Town turned crimson. In the next mont, the crimson color quickly extended towards the mountain peak along the ’veins’ of the energy system. The originally silvery-white magic rune tal strips were dyed blood-red, like a lit fuse, transmitted into the energy core of the mountain peak.
"Buzz!"
With a sound, the palace building at the mountain’s energy core spewed thick black smoke, the exterior walls vibrating, a strong and violent energy wave emanating outwards.
"What on earth is going on?" The wizards sensed this, and one could not help but ask aloud, "It was fine just now; how did it suddenly beco like this?"
"I don’t know." Another wizard responded with a frown.
"Be careful, it’s going to explode!" A third wizard saw sothing and sharply warned.
"Boom!"
Just as the wizard finished speaking, they saw the palace building at the mountain’s energy core burst into a ball of fire, accompanied by a deafening sound, suddenly exploding, nurous stone slabs, and tal plates falling down the mountainside like a teor shower.
Amidst the stone slabs and tal plates were a few blurred figures, wizards who had just rushed into the energy core palace, trying to find the problem and perform repairs.
Unfortunately, as soon as they rushed in, they were blasted out by the explosion’s impact, now striving to curl up their bodies, wrapping themselves with an Energy Shield to avoid injury.
The wizards on the ground in Pompeii Town, seeing these wizards’ appearances, felt so sympathy but had no energy to spare, instead directing their attention to the cylindrical energy nodes nearest to them.
With the explosion of the energy core, a lot of energy stored in the core was released all at once. It transmitted along the blood-red energy channels to the energy nodes, causing further changes in the energy nodes.
The cylindrical surfaces of the energy nodes, which were already crimson, now deepened continuously, gradually shifting from red to purple.
"Sizzle!"
A few seconds later, the cylinder seed unable to withstand the intense energy and suddenly lted, a large amount of energy gushing out like a fountain.
The surrounding wizards, anticipating this, raised Energy Shields in advance to block the attack, remaining uninjured.
However, the subsequent impacts were not so easily resolved.
Energy overflowed everywhere, quickly transmitting to the surrounding buildings, spreading through windows and doors, producing a series of subtle explosive sounds. So road signs and fixtures on the street also beca entangled, quickly catching fire, turning Pompeii Town into a sea of flas in an instant.
Naturally, the wizards would not sit idly by while the fire spread and promptly took action to try to stop it.
A tall wizard suddenly bent down, slamming a hand heavily onto the ground.
An extrely cold white chill erupted from his palm, expanding rapidly toward the surroundings. Where it reached, the burning flas quickly extinguished, the ground turned to ice, and buildings beca ice sculptures.
A witch flipped her hand, a sky-blue seed appearing in her palm, which she threw to the ground.
The seed hit the ground, pierced into the soil from the gaps in the stone slabs, and with the witch’s Spell, it rapidly grew. In just a mont, it grew to over ten ters, becoming a gigantic blue-green vine, its end splitting open like a giant python.
The witch waved her hand, and the gigantic vine received the signal, swinging its body vigorously, whipping at the surrounding flas, simultaneously "opening its mouth" to swallow down lumps of fire.
Another wizard stomped the ground, leaping high into the air more than ten ters off the ground.
He gestured toward the ground, a bluestone slab lifting off the ground, shattering into a cloud of powder mid-air with a "crash."
"Fino!"
The wizard shouted, the dark grey stone powder’s color suddenly deepening, becoming dense black sand.
The wizard waved his hand, the black sand rapidly falling onto a patch of burning flas, covering them and rapidly extinguishing the flas through oxygen deprivation.
Seeing this, Richard also took action.
He raised his hand, reciting a spell, a bright little orb appearing in his palm, like a pearl.
"Nasa!"
Richard uttered, the small light orb in his hand flashing suddenly, bursting with a strong suction force, drawing in the nearby flas from dozens of ters away, absorbing them into the orb.
"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!"
With the continuous influx of flas, the light orb slowly grew, swelling to the size of an apple, its surface violently fluctuating, seemingly unable to bear it and about to explode.
At this mont, Richard clenched his hand, forcing the light orb back to its original size, restoring its state as an orb, and continued to absorb.
"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!"
The flas kept coming in, and before long, the area within dozens of ters around had beco clean and tidy.
Richard observed, clenching the light orb expanded to the size of a fist once more, returning it to its original appearance, moving to the adjacent area to help the other wizards extinguish fires, his efficiency astonishing, like one wizard being as effective as five or six ordinary wizards combined.
So wizards watched, showing expressions of wonder.
"Who is this? He’s pretty skilled, but I’ve never seen him, he looks unfamiliar."
"Probably just arrived from so branch we don’t know." Soone nearby responded, "Judging by the spell he’s using, it seems like ’Spiritual Power Worship.’"
"’Spiritual Power Worship’? If I rember correctly, it’s a fringe spell docunted in the ’Blood Alchemy,’ right? Access to ’Blood Alchemy’ in the organization has always been very restricted, it seems he’s indeed not ordinary."
"I don’t care if he’s ordinary or not, but in so of my current research, I’m missing a few assistants skilled in shape-shifting magic. If I have the chance, I’d like to get to know him. I wonder what his na is."
"Richard." Suddenly a female voice sounded, giving the answer.
"Hmm?" The two wizards in conversation looked over at the sound, seeing a tall witch about six feet tall, extinguishing fires with Ice Mist as she walked over. It was Inogova.
