Today was the fifth day since Tang Moyu left for Linyi City and Feng Tianyi's mood was still down. Talking to her over the phone wasn't enough. Although he was kept busy by his work at Qing Tian Group and their little buns, he still couldn't help but miss her.
He heard a soft knock on the door of his office and saw Song Fengyan with Little Star and Xiao Bao, who were looking ashad and staring at the floor while his cousin appeared a little uncomfortable about the whole thing.
"Hey," Feng Tianyi got on his feet and went to his children. Their silence today was unusual, especially Xiao Bao. "What happened?" He asked his cousin as his hand touched the top of his son's head.
"Uhm, Baobao, Little Star, why don't you go inside first and sit down on the couch. Your daddy and I needed to talk for a bit."
The twins nodded and without looking at their father or Uncle Yan, they slipped past the two before they made their way over to the couch, their backpacks removed and placed on top of the coffee table.
"What's going on?" Feng Tianyi asked, his eyes looking from his twins to his cousin, worry flashed in his obsidian eyes at the thought that the children had done sothing wrong while his wife was away.
"Well… today, their classroom teacher said Baobao hit a kid. I asked them why, but neither Baobao and Little Star would tell what happened. Yun'er and Huo Yunhao weren't with them when it happened, so I couldn't get any reason why the twins would have a fight with another kid." Song Fengyan explained.
Feng Tianyi's eyes widened at those words, his head turned from his cousin to his son. The little boy was hanging his head and his eyes refused to look at him. Tang Moyu had once told him about Baobao getting involved in a fight once, but he never thought that their son would be involved with another one since he was now with their mother.
"W-what?" He said in disbelief.
Baobao and Little Star, although a pair of mischievous twins, Feng Tianyi knew they weren't soone who'll hurt another kid if they weren't pushed to the corner.
"Baobao admitted it too." Song Fengyan whispered. "But he wouldn't tell why. He kept his mouth shut and his twin sister is no better. Look. I think you need to talk to them before Tang Moyu cos. Baobao would try to listen to you."
"Yeah, I'll try and talk to him." Feng Tianyi murmured. "Is that all?"
"Yes, and I need to go now. Lan Xiyan has just co back from her trip, so Yun'er is excited to see her mother. I have to drop her there tonight so I wouldn't be able to wait for the three of you."
Feng Tianyi nodded.
"Thanks. Don't worry about us. I can arrange for soone to bring us ho." He said and watched his cousin turn around and head for the elevator. He closed the door behind him and turned to see his twins, who had downcast eyes.
"Hey..." He then took a seat next to his son. "How's your day at school? Did you enjoy your day?"
"It's okay…" The little boy mumbled, his eyes still looking at the floor in sha, hands gripping his shorts.
"Are you mad at , Daddy? Are you going to punish ?" He suddenly asked, his eyes tearful as he looked at his father. Feng Tianyi titled his head slightly in confusion.
Hearing what her twin brother said, Little Star lifted her head and showed her round eyes brimming with tears.
"No, Daddy. It's not Yu Gege's fault. He's not the one who started it." She exclaid in defense.
"But why would I punish you?" Feng Tianyi said after sending a ssage to his secretary to call a driver to take him and the little buns ho.
"For.. you know…" Xiao Bao refused to voice out the reason to his father.
"No, I don't know. I won't punish you unless you tell what happened and why you did it. We can't allow Mommy to know about this, right?" Feng Tianyi finally understood what his wife felt when she faced the sa situation. He felt helpless and worried at the sa ti.
The twins shivered at the thought and nodded their heads in unison. They wouldn't want their mommy to find out about it. Their Mommy didn't like them getting involved in any fights or any type violence, no matter whose fault it was and who started it.
It was because soone had bad-mouthed their mommy that Xiao Bao couldn't control his temper and hit another kid at school.
Why were they saying that their mommy was bad anyway? They don't know how kind their mommy was. They also didn't believe him and Little Star when they said that they have a daddy.
Just because their parents didn't announce it, doesn't an they were lying. Xiao Bao was so mad, he couldn't stop himself from hitting the kid. If he wasn't worried about Little Star getting hurt, he would have continued beating the kid for good.
"Okay…" Xiao Bao conceded. So long that it wouldn't make their mommy worried about them again. The last ti he got involved in a fight, she had taken them away from the school and transferred them to another one.
"So… what do you want for dinner? Daddy is so tired, I don't think I have enough ti to cook tonight." Feng Tianyi rubbed his nape as he stood up, rounding his desk to turn off his computer. He was done with work for today. The long hours of eting earlier had exhausted him.
"What about pizza?" Little Star suggested. The twins' faces lit up in excitent. It had been a while since they ate one.
"Then pizza it is." Feng Tianyi said and made another phone call. "Go take your bags. We're going ho now."
