"Cooper, it was my fault."
lissa Greenwood had no choice but to cover up one incident with another.
She begged Cooper Coldson, looking at him, "It was who told Eliana Reed that you would definitely marry and got her to make a scene at the banquet. I promised her benefits, only then did she agree to help ."
Cooper Coldson pushed her away with a cold and terrifying gaze.
"How could you turn into this?"
lissa fell to the ground, crying uncontrollably.
"I don’t know, I was just too scared, too scared of losing you."
"When that incident happened, I was still a child, I didn’t understand anything, but when I grew up, I realized what I had lost."
She lifted her head, her face streaked with tears, and grabbed at Cooper Coldson’s trouser leg.
"Cooper, you are not a woman, you don’t understand what a child ans to us, being infertile... it’s like being stripped of my rights as a woman, Cooper, you are all I have left."
Cooper Coldson looked down at her, thought of the past, and finally sighed.
He reached out and pulled lissa up.
"Cooper!" lissa burst into tears, "You scared to death, I thought you were angry and didn’t want anymore."
"Alright, stop crying," Cooper Coldson said, sowhat irritated.
He pinched the bridge of his nose, "From now on, behave and stop causing trouble, stay away from... Yolanda Greenwood."
lissa’s heart skipped a beat, "Cooper, are you... feeling sorry for Yolanda?"
"I just want to divorce her quickly and end all this."
Cooper Coldson turned to leave.
lissa held on to him, "Cooper, I want to go and stay with my mom, I’ll co to see grandpa later, is that okay?"
Cooper Coldson nodded, "The caregiver will be here soon, don’t wear yourself out."
"I’m not tired." lissa watched Cooper Coldson leave.
Just thinking about how Cooper Coldson had told her to stay away from Yolanda Greenwood made her teeth itch with hatred.
She went to Gemma Morgan’s hospital room, and at the door, she heard them talking; unexpectedly, that bitch Gemma Morgan had woken up.
"Yolanda," Gemma Morgan’s face was pale, tenderly holding Yolanda Greenwood’s hand, "Eldest Aunt apologizes to you on lissa’s behalf."
"Eldest Aunt, don’t say that," Yolanda Greenwood smiled, "I’m fine now, you need to recover soon..."
lissa kicked open the door of the hospital room.
Yolanda Greenwood and Gemma Morgan were both startled.
Yolanda Greenwood imdiately stood up, speechlessly looking at lissa, "Are you insane? Your mom just got a bit better, what are you playing at?"
"What? Scared?" lissa entered the room, pointing at Yolanda Greenwood and Gemma Morgan, "You’re the ones who did sothing shaful, feeling guilty."
Gemma Morgan struggled to sit up, "lissa, what are you talking about?"
"Do you think I didn’t hear what you were saying?"
lissa was completely disregarding Gemma Morgan’s health at this point, "Apologize for ? Why should I apologize?"
She pointed at Yolanda Greenwood and cursed, "It’s her who is shaless, who climbed into my man’s bed, and now she’s still clinging to my man, not divorcing him. She’s the one who should apologize!"
"Get out!" Gemma Morgan began coughing violently, pointing towards the door, "Get out!"
"Why should I leave?" lissa went up to push Yolanda Greenwood, "She’s the one who should leave."
Yolanda Greenwood staggered, truly incredulous.
lissa hated her, but to upset Gemma Morgan so much? Gemma Morgan was her own mother!
She had no choice but to compromise, "Fine, I’ll leave, just stop arguing."
She noticed Gemma Morgan clutching her chest, coughing worse than before.
But lissa was relentless, determined not to rest until she had driven Gemma Morgan to her grave.
"Get out, even if my mom dies, it has nothing to do with you."
Finally, upon hearing those words, Gemma Morgan could no longer bear it and fainted with her eyes rolling back.
Yolanda Greenwood was terrified. Without any thought, she slapped lissa Greenwood across the face.
"She’s your mother, why would you upset her like that?"
lissa Greenwood was completely stunned.
In less than half an hour, she had been slapped by two different people.
It was one thing for Cooper Coldson to hit her, but why should Yolanda Greenwood, that wretched woman, do so?
Regaining her senses, she went mad, ready to fight Yolanda Greenwood, completely disregarding the unconscious Gemma Morgan.
Yolanda Greenwood struggled with her while calling for help from the doorway.
Soon, Nurse Gage, Lynn Gage, arrived since she was on duty that night.
"What are you doing?" It was the first ti she saw anyone fighting directly in a patient’s room, and one of them was the patient’s daughter.
lissa Greenwood’s tears ca quickly, and she burst into sobs, "Nurse Gage, this person should not be allowed in my mom’s room in the future; she wants to kill my mom."
"Nurse Gage," Yolanda Greenwood said urgently, not in her own defense, "My Eldest Aunt fainted, please go check on her."
Lynn Gage didn’t bother with them any longer and quickly called the duty doctor, then kicked both of them out.
Once outside the hospital room, lissa Greenwood snorted and sat down on a chair.
Yolanda Greenwood stood at the door, anxiously looking inside.
At that mont, lissa Greenwood’s phone rang. She glanced at it and swiftly moved aside to answer.
"Dad! Why are you calling so late?"
On the other end was Jaxon Greenwood’s voice, "I’m back, I’ll be at the hospital soon, how is mom?"
"You’re back?" lissa Greenwood checked the ti, surprised. "Dad, weren’t you supposed to arrive tomorrow night?"
"I was worried about mom, so I changed my flight," Jaxon Greenwood couldn’t help but worry. "What happened? Is there sothing wrong with mom?"
"Dad, I’m waiting for you in the hospital lobby. Let’s talk when you arrive."
lissa Greenwood hung up, speechless.
The Greenwood family had struck a big business deal; Jaxon Greenwood had secured it after long negotiations.
He was supposed to rest for a day before coming back, but he ended up coming back early.
As lissa Greenwood walked downstairs, she cursed in her mind, If Jaxon Greenwood were half as good to her as he was to Gemma Morgan, she would have abandoned Gemma Morgan long ago.
Now, if Gemma Morgan woke up and told Jaxon Greenwood sothing...
lissa Greenwood grew even more agitated.
She waited for about ten minutes in the lobby, and sure enough, Jaxon Greenwood arrived.
He was still in his suit, with sunken eyes and a weary face, clearly having not rested well.
From what lissa Greenwood knew, Jaxon Greenwood had been working nonstop for a week.
"Dad!" lissa Greenwood greeted him, her face full of concern, "Why didn’t you rest a bit more before coming back? Seeing you like this... it would break mom’s heart."
As she spoke, she bowed her head and forced tears.
"How is mom?" Jaxon Greenwood repeated his concern.
"Dad," lissa Greenwood hesitated, "I told you, you must not get upset."
"Tell !" Jaxon Greenwood said, scared breathless.
"Mom... she just fainted," lissa Greenwood started crying sadly, "It’s my fault for not taking good care of mom, Dad, you should scold ."
Jaxon Greenwood swayed slightly, "What happened? How did it get so serious suddenly?"
When he left, Gemma Morgan was only occasionally uncomfortable. How could she have fainted now?
"Dad, a lot has happened these days. After I returned to the country, Cooper wanted to divorce Yolanda, and Yolanda... she hates to death, and she hates our family too."
Jaxon Greenwood’s eyes instantly reddened, furious, "Did Yolanda make your mom faint?"
