Yolanda Greenwood waited anxiously outside the hospital room.
She paced back and forth, silently praying for Gemma Morgan.
Soon, she saw lissa Greenwood return, accompanied by Jaxon Greenwood.
"Eldest Uncle!" Yolanda greeted politely, but she noticed sothing off in Jaxon’s gaze.
Jaxon, fuming with anger, strode forward and slapped Yolanda across the face.
He could hardly contain his rage, "Yolanda, you have disappointed greatly."
Yolanda had no idea what she had done wrong. She held her face and looked at Jaxon, "Eldest Uncle, what happened?"
"Yolanda, just go back." lissa spoke up, "My mom has already fainted. Do you want to anger her even more?"
Yolanda’s eyes widened in shock as she realized lissa was framing her.
She tried to explain to Jaxon but lissa forcefully dragged her away.
"If you don’t want my mom to die, then get lost!" lissa threatened viciously.
"What do you an?" Yolanda couldn’t understand lissa’s malicious intent, "That’s your mom!"
lissa twisted her mouth into a smirk, "As long as you know, now leave!"
Yolanda watched lissa’s retreating back, feeling her entire worldview being overturned and profoundly understanding that lissa ant her words.
That woman was utterly unreasonable and insane.
Fortunately, during this ordeal, Jaxon ca back.
Yolanda had witnessed Jaxon and Gemma’s loving relationship countless tis since childhood, and it was the kind of love she aspired to have.
Yolanda could only leave at this point. She went to Old Master Coldson’s hospital room, but Isabella Ross stopped her at the door.
"What are you doing here?" Isabella coldly dismissed her, "You’re not welco here."
"Is Grandpa awake?" Yolanda asked worriedly.
"It’s none of your business!" Isabella firmly believed that since Old Master Coldson had accepted Yolanda’s departure, there was no need for Yolanda to return.
She issued an ultimatum, "Yolanda, hear this clearly, in my eyes, you’re no longer a daughter-in-law of the Coldson Family."
Yolanda’s heart clenched painfully; she never realized she was so superfluous.
She nodded and turned away.
Indeed, whether it was the Grandpa or the Eldest Aunt, they all had their loved ones by their side, all except Yolanda, who was alone.
"Yolanda?"
While waiting for the elevator, Yolanda ran into Nurse Lynn Gage.
"Nurse Gage, how is my Eldest Aunt doing?"
"Ah!" Lynn sighed deeply, "I’m afraid it’s mostly bad news; she won’t wake up anyti soon."
Yolanda’s tears suddenly fell, "It’s all my fault; if it weren’t for , Eldest Aunt wouldn’t have..."
"Yolanda," as an observer, Lynn knew everything, "Don’t bla yourself; it’s lissa who doesn’t deserve to be Gemma’s daughter."
She looked at Yolanda, hesitant about whether to reveal the entire truth.
"Nurse Gage," Yolanda pleaded again, "Please take good care of my Eldest Aunt; if anything happens, let know right away."
They had already exchanged contact information.
Lynn nodded, "Yolanda, don’t be too sad. I believe that justice will prevail, and the truth will eventually co out."
Yolanda, dispirited, walked away.
The only place she could go to now was Lola Gold’s house, where, fortunately, Lola always welcod her.
As soon as they t, Yolanda hugged Lola and cried for a long ti, genuinely worried about Old Master Coldson and Gemma Morgan.
"Yolanda, rest assured, Grandpa Coldson has already woken up."
"Really?" Yolanda Greenwood looked at Lola Gold in surprise, then felt sothing was off. "Lola, how do you know Grandpa woke up?"
"..." Lola Gold hesitated for a mont, "What I an is, Grandpa Coldson must have woken up already."
She analyzed logically, "Didn’t you say that only Isabella Ross was with him? That ans everyone else has gone back. If the old master hadn’t woken up, how could they possibly leave?"
"Indeed." Yolanda Greenwood nodded in agreent.
"Yolanda, you haven’t slept all night, have you?" Lola Gold gently comforted her, "You should rest a while, your complexion looks awful."
Yolanda Greenwood was indeed exhausted, she had been enduring it on tenterhooks.
"Alright." Yolanda Greenwood changed her clothes, drank so porridge, and then went to rest.
By then, daybreak had arrived. Before going to the office, Cooper Coldson first made a trip to the hospital.
He still didn’t see Yolanda Greenwood there.
"Mom," he asked Isabella Ross with displeasure, "Hasn’t Yolanda co by?"
"Do you want her to co?" Isabella Ross lowered her voice, "Cooper, your Grandpa just barely accepted your divorce, do you want to make him faint again?"
She warned Cooper Coldson, "She is not welco here, and you’re not allowed to invite her, understand?"
Cooper Coldson nodded.
Isabella Ross then asked him, "Have you decided about marrying lissa?"
"Yes."
"Then we should start planning early. Your brother will also be returning ho soon. Pick a ti, and you can hold the wedding."
Isabella Ross, after contemplating all night, had decided to accept lissa Greenwood.
After all, this woman was willing to keep a low profile, genuinely liked Little Cooper, and would be easier to control in the future.
"We’ll see about that," Cooper Coldson dropped a sentence and turned to leave.
At breakfast, Isabella Ross called lissa Greenwood to assist Old Master Coldson with his al.
Before entering, she instructed lissa Greenwood, "lissa, if you want to beco the daughter-in-law of the Coldson Family Head, you must gain Old Master Coldson’s approval."
"Aunt Ross, I understand." lissa Greenwood was spirited, "I will perform well."
Today was the first ti she heard approval from Isabella Ross, and she knew her victory wasn’t far away.
She entered the sickroom carrying the breakfast, smiling cheerfully at Old Master Coldson.
"Grandpa, are you hungry? Co and have breakfast."
The mont Old Master Coldson saw her, his face turned sour, "Isabella Ross? Isabella Ross, co in here."
Isabella Ross was at the doorway, she braced herself and ca in, "Dad, co and have breakfast. lissa specially went out to buy it."
"She bought it?" Old Master Coldson turned his head, "I won’t eat it, go buy sothing else for ."
lissa Greenwood’s face changed.
"Dad!" Isabella Ross stepped forward to persuade, "What are you doing? This is lissa’s kind gesture. Even if you don’t like it, you could at least say thank you."
lissa Greenwood awkwardly tugged the corner of her mouth, "It’s okay, Grandpa. Just tell what you’d like to eat, and I’ll go buy it."
Old Master Coldson truly spared no face, "As long as you bought it, I won’t eat it."
He ordered Isabella Ross, "Go buy sothing else for now."
Isabella Ross couldn’t persuade Old Master Coldson, so she reluctantly agreed with a nod.
"Grandpa..." lissa Greenwood felt extre distaste for Old Master Coldson, and unemotionally said, "Then I’ll leave first. Call if you need anything."
"Wait a minute!" Old Master Coldson stopped her, "You want to show filial piety, right? Then I’ll give you a chance."
"Really?" lissa Greenwood imdiately perked up, "Grandpa, what do you need to do? I’ll do anything!"
