"The situation isn’t looking good, she’s still unconscious."
Cooper Coldson let out a deep sigh, about to say sothing more, when Christopher Coldson’s fist swung towards him.
He dodged to the side and grabbed Christopher’s fist, "Uncle, what are you doing?"
Isabella Ross imdiately stepped forward and hit Christopher’s arm, "What sin are you committing now? Do you think your father has lived too long?"
"Yes, Uncle, if there’s sothing on your mind, let’s talk about it calmly. Grandpa is sick..."
lissa Greenwood chid in from the side.
"Shut up!" Unexpectedly, Christopher Coldson glared fiercely at lissa Greenwood.
He looked at Isabella and Cooper, "You two know better than I do why Old Master Coldson’s condition suddenly worsened."
They both lowered their heads and stayed silent.
They held the utmost respect and love for Old Master Coldson.
Isabella even started to reflect on whether she was really in such a hurry to have Yolanda Greenwood divorce Cooper. She knew that Old Master Coldson didn’t have much longer to live.
She unconsciously glanced at Yolanda in the corner.
Yolanda was squatting there, clutching her knees, her little face sowhat pale and her eyes blank and vacant.
Christopher Coldson, of course, wouldn’t cause a scene at the hospital, but he added, "If Old Master doesn’t make it through this ti, you’ll regret it for the rest of your lives."
He also reminded Isabella, "Call Noah Coldson back."
Isabella nodded and hurried off to make the call.
Ti felt incredibly slow at that mont, with everyone anxiously waiting.
Yolanda Greenwood seed utterly lost when she suddenly saw a familiar face—it was the nurse who had drawn her blood.
She stood up.
"I’m looking for lissa Greenwood," said the nurse, her face filled with urgency.
"Over there." Yolanda felt worried that sothing might have happened to Gemma Morgan, so she asked, "What happened?"
"Gemma Morgan’s condition isn’t good right now. She needs soone to stay with her."
The nurse saw lissa Greenwood look over and imdiately gestured for her to co over.
lissa, appearing a bit impatient, walked over quickly and asked in a low voice, "What’s going on?"
"Miss Greenwood, your mother’s condition isn’t good. You need to stay with her tonight."
"What do you an ’isn’t good’? Hasn’t she always been lying there? You nurses always like to make a big deal out of nothing."
lissa turned on her heel to leave.
Yolanda Greenwood found it unbelievable and grabbed her, "lissa, are you even human? Didn’t you hear what she just said..."
lissa’s mind quickly shifted, and she forcefully shook off Yolanda’s hand, "If you’re so concerned, why don’t you go? There are plenty of people here; one less won’t make a difference."
She snorted, "What? You’re unwilling? Then in the future, stop pretending to care in front of my mother!"
"I’ll go!" Indeed, Yolanda knew she was of little help by staying here.
She looked at the nurse, "Let’s go, I’ll co with you. I’ll stay the night."
The nurse glanced involuntarily at lissa.
"What’s the matter? Isn’t it okay for soone else to go?"
lissa gave them both a scornful look and then returned to Isabella Ross’s side.
Yolanda walked away with the nurse.
"Your na is Yolanda Greenwood, right?" The nurse reached out a hand, "My na is Lynn Gage, you can call Lynn."
Yolanda forced a smile, "Lynn, is my Eldest Aunt’s condition very serious?"
Lynn nodded and spoke in a hushed tone, "Your cousin hasn’t been around much lately, I’ve noticed that Aunt Morgan seems to be in poor spirits too. Her illness is greatly influenced by her emotional state."
Yolanda Greenwood let out a heavy sigh, but didn’t know what else to say.
Lynn thought of the DNA results, her mind torn, unsure if she should reveal them.
But after watching them over the past few days, she felt sure that the bond between Gemma Morgan and Yolanda Greenwood was genuine.
They both seed so pitiable.
After arriving at the ward, Lynn Gage instructed on so matters before leaving Yolanda Greenwood with Gemma Morgan.
On the other side, Isabella Ross saw Yolanda Greenwood leave and frowned slightly in displeasure.
"What’s going on? Where did Yolanda go?"
"I don’t know." lissa Greenwood shook her head, "She seems to know that young nurse; they’re friends, perhaps."
Isabella Ross’s expression turned uglier but remained alert.
"What did that nurse call you over for?"
"Oh, she’s in charge of my mom’s room. I asked her to help keep an eye on my mom. She just said that my mom was doing quite well."
"That’s good." Isabella Ross nodded contentedly, "It’s rare for you to show such filial devotion to your grandfather. He’ll understand that one day."
During their conversation, the door to the ergency room opened and the attending physician and others ca out in succession.
Everyone hurriedly gathered around.
"Doctor, how’s my father?" Isabella Ross asked.
"He’s out of danger for now, but as you know, with a heart condition, don’t let him get stimulated these days."
"Can we go in and see him now?"
The doctor nodded, "Go ahead, he’s awake."
The crowd quickly entered the ward.
Old Master Coldson’s face was pale as he lay half-reclined on the bed. Seeing a group of people walk in, he didn’t see his Little Yolanda.
His questioning gaze turned to Cooper Coldson.
Cooper Coldson imdiately understood that look, "Grandpa, Yolanda might have stepped out for sothing. I’ll call her."
"Don’t." Isabella Ross stopped him.
She looked at Old Master Coldson, "Dad, Yolanda stepped out for a bit. She should be back soon."
Old Master Coldson didn’t say anything and closed his eyes tiredly.
The rest of the group didn’t dare linger. After discussing and deciding Isabella Ross would stay the night, everyone planned to leave.
Before Cooper Coldson left, he pulled lissa Greenwood aside into the hallway.
"Don’t worry, Cooper, I’ll take good care of your mom. Tonight..."
However, before she could finish, Cooper Coldson cut her off with a slap across the face.
lissa Greenwood touched her face in disbelief, not expecting Cooper to hit her. She felt unjustly treated and her eyes reddened, "Cooper..."
"This slap is on behalf of my grandfather."
lissa Greenwood didn’t understand, "Cooper, I don’t know what you an."
"The charity dinner incident, you and my mom can’t escape bla."
"..." lissa Greenwood bit her lip, "Cooper, I told you, it was your mom who asked to go to the charity event."
"What about Eliana Reed?" Cooper’s gaze was frightening.
lissa Greenwood imdiately panicked, her mouth opened to argue, but she couldn’t speak.
Cooper continued, "I know better than anyone what my mom’s attitude towards Eliana Reed was before. She wouldn’t contact her on her own, much less invite her."
Unless lissa Greenwood had said sothing in front of her.
Tears stread down lissa Greenwood’s face as she clutched Cooper Coldson’s arm.
"Cooper, listen to my explanation, it was Eliana Reed who approached , she wanted to..."
"Why?" Thinking about all the past events, Cooper genuinely felt there was a problem.
The difference in Eliana Reed’s attitude towards Yolanda and lissa Greenwood was like night and day. What was the reason behind it?
"Huh?" lissa Greenwood lowered her head, too flustered to explain.
Her true identity absolutely could not be exposed, at least not now.
Cooper Coldson felt more sure that there was an issue, staring intently at lissa Greenwood, as if determined not to let the matter rest until she spoke.
