"Where’s Little Wood?" Leah Diaz clutched Yolanda Greenwood’s hand tightly, her voice trembling slightly as she spoke.
The man let out a cold laugh, his gaze warily scanning Yolanda and the others before finally landing on Leah, "Oh, now you rember to care about Little Wood? When you were having a good ti abroad, why didn’t I see you co back to check on Little Wood?"
"Julian Howard, is that how a person speaks?" Leah looked at the man before her, her once deeply beloved husband.
She fought back her sadness and asked again, "I’m asking you, where is Little Wood?"
"What does Little Wood’s whereabouts have to do with you?" Julian stood up, his tone cold, "My humble abode cannot accommodate a big shot who’s been overseas like you. Please take your friends and leave imdiately."
"Julian Howard!" Leah was really going to explode with anger.
"Sister Leah, don’t get too worked up." Yolanda patted Leah, then turned to him, "Mr. Howard, you say Leah doesn’t care about the child. Then where does the money for the child’s dical treatnt co from?"
"What mother wants to be separated from her child?" She too was shocked by the man’s shalessness in front of her, "If it wasn’t to pay for Little Wood’s dical treatnt, and since you couldn’t earn the dical fees, would Sister Leah have wanted to leave?"
"Heh, Leah, you really have no sha, airing all your dirty laundry," Julian’s face twisted with malice, "You dare to say anything, huh? I can’t earn money?"
He chuckled, "If it wasn’t for having to take care of Little Wood and therefore unable to go out to work, the little money you make, I really couldn’t care less about."
This man was obviously shaless to the extre.
Leah’s face brimd with incredulity, but she didn’t want to entangle with him further, as if she had been blind in the past.
"Little Wood," she whispered into Yolanda’s ear, "Yolanda, I don’t want to waste words with him anymore. I just want to take Little Wood away."
"Okay." Yolanda looked at Julian, "Where’s Little Wood?"
"I told you, it’s none of your..."
Julian hadn’t finished speaking when Noah Coldson quickly stepped forward, subdued him with a move, and pinned him to the ground, "Tell , where is Little Wood?"
"Ah, ah, ah..." Julian scread in pain, "Leah, you bitch, are you trying to kill soone? When you were living it up abroad, did you think about Little Wood? What are you pretending for now?"
"You’re really not speaking like a human." Yolanda said in utter disbelief, "Do you know how many hours Sister Leah works every day abroad, how many jobs she takes up? Living it up? You’re having a better ti than us, aren’t you?"
She said this while glaring at the silent woman beside her.
The woman shivered and stamred instantly, "Leah, don’t get wrong, I and Brother Howard..."
"Nadia Jones," Leah started indifferently, "don’t call Leah, it’s disgusting. What you do is none of my business, I just want to take my child away."
"Where’s the child?" Noah put a bit more strength into his hold.
Julian imdiately cried out loudly in pain, drenched in sweat, "At his grandmother’s house, at his grandmother’s!"
Yolanda looked at Leah.
"Yolanda, can you accompany there one more ti?" At this point, Leah was extrely grateful that Yolanda had co along, otherwise she, by herself, would really be bullied to death.
"Okay, we’ll go together, together." Yolanda nodded repeatedly.
Noah released Julian, and Julian imdiately jumped up, "I’ll go too, I’ll go too."
Yolanda looked at him with disgust.
"What if you guys bully my mother and my son?" Julian justified himself.
"As you wish." Leah pulled Yolanda and walked out.
Julian imdiately followed but felt Nadia Jones pulling him from behind. He turned back and said, "You go back first, wait for my call."
"Okay." Nadia nodded, whispering, "Be careful, those two n seem dangerous."
"Don’t worry, they can’t do anything to ."
The group exited the neighborhood, and Yolanda, Leah, and the others got into the car, with Cooper Coldson following last.
When Julian saw the car, his eyes lit up. Although he was poor, he loved cars and knew that the car before him was worth millions. He hurried after them, intending to get on, but was kicked away by Cooper.
"Get lost, you scumbag, you’re not worthy of riding in my car." Cooper got into the car and closed the door.
Julian picked himself up and yelled at the back of the car, "Bitch, I said you’re having fun abroad, managing to hook up a rich man, and you’re always claiming to have no money to send back, it’s deliberate, bitch! You just wait!"
He had no choice but to grumble and take a taxi himself.
Little Wood’s grandmother’s house was not far, and they arrived quickly. As soon as Leah got out of the car, she saw Little Wood’s grandmother chatting with a group of old ladies downstairs, but Little Wood was nowhere to be seen.
She hurried up the steps, "Mom, where’s Little Wood?"
The old lady’s hair was a ssy mop, with droopy eyes, plainly not a gentle character, "Leah, why have you co back?"
At this ti, Julian caught up by taxi too.
"Mom, Leah wants to take the child away."
"Take away?" The old lady pursed her lips, "Take where? To the United States? Didn’t you say it wasn’t convenient before?"
Mother and son glared at Leah with predatory eyes.
"I want a divorce, want to take Little Wood away." On the way there, Leah had made up her mind. In this situation, she must divorce.
"Divorce?" The old lady’s eyes widened. This grandson was their cash cow, and this daughter-in-law could earn money, how could they divorce?
She imdiately shook her head to disagree, "Divorce what? Leah, do you have no conscience? You neglected everything abroad, and it’s and Julian who has been taking care of Little Wood..."
Her gaze swept over Noah and Cooper, "Now that you’ve t rich people, you want to get divorced as soon as you co back? We disagree."
"Mom, as soon as I got ho... I saw Julian and Nadia Jones embracing," Leah struggled to continue, "I must get a divorce."
The old lady glared at Julian, "I told you to stay away from that slut."
"Who knew she’d suddenly co back?" Julian whispered his defense.
"So, Mom, you’ve known about their affair all along?" Leah was shocked yet again; this family was simply outrageous.
"Leah, you can’t bla Julian entirely for this. He’s a man; his wife was away for a year without seeing him, what do you expect him to do?" the old lady argued vehently, "He couldn’t just go out and pay for prostitutes, at least being with that Nadia, he doesn’t have to spend money, right?"
"..."
This statent left Yolanda and the others speechless.
Leah was silent for a long ti, simply too angry to know what to say.
"Ma’am, there’s no point in arguing about right and wrong anymore," Yolanda spoke up, "Sister Leah now just wants a divorce and to take Little Wood away."
"We don’t agree to the divorce." The old lady was very adamant, "For so many years, to take care of Little Wood, Julian hasn’t gone out to work. If you divorce now, what is he going to do?"
"Is your son really not going out to work just to take care of Little Wood? Does a seven-year-old child really need so many people to take care of him?" Yolanda was truly amused.
