Calirer spoke softly, directing her gaze toward Goku. "All abyss clans possess a demonic diagram. There are 32 of them, given by the demon emperor millennia ago. By accumulating treasures from the sacred realms, their power grows, providing the clan and all its mbers with an extra boost of power. This is essential for surviving in the last layers of the abyss and exploring all sacred realms."
Everyone listened and examined the diagram more closely, but imdiately, their eyes revealed confusion. The diagram didn’t emit any energy, as if it were a lifeless shell.
Calirer smiled, a bit embarrassed at everyone’s reaction. "Yes, the last ti our diagram absorbed a treasure was two hundred years ago. That’s another reason our clan can’t explore the major sacred realms. Without the support of the diagram, practically everyone dies, even in the safest place in the realms."
"Have you ever felt this support from the demonic diagram?" The whale asked calmly.
"I participated in the last frustrated exploration with the power of the diagram, in the realm of flas," Calirer replied gently.
"Let guess. With the help of this diagram, everyone in the clan gains a greater affinity with infernal laws and Yin, being able to absorb and cultivate faster." The whale spoke slowly, and Calirer’s eyes widened in surprise. "And with the clan leader directly activating the diagram, when you explore these sacred realms, you feel the Qi and laws in your bodies becoming dense and almost inexhaustible. Correct?"
Calirer was a bit startled as she spoke. "That... is almost a description from the glorious records of the clan. In my case, our diagram was almost powerless, but I really felt that at that ti, it was easier to cultivate, and the laws in my body were denser."
"I understand. Your clan was once the right-hand clan of the demon emperor, so there is a lot of knowledge about the abyss in your records, right?" The whale spoke thoughtfully.
Calirer sighed, lowering her gaze slightly. "We were punished and accused of treason; all our resources and everything else were taken. The only knowledge we have was written after we were already weak, by the ancestors who heard a bit from the elders. Our records are not complete, but they can give you so information... perhaps dubious... but we’ll work hard not to disappoint." She concluded, looking firmly at the whale.
"Alright, I’ve already invested too much in your clan; I won’t back down now. Later, hand over all the knowledge you have." The whale responded curtly. "Now, how do we register? And what about the clan technique?"
Calirer raised her head a bit excitedly and quickly approached the diagram, as if to ensure they wouldn’t go back on their word. She explained that all clan mbers received a mark from the demonic diagram, and through this, they would officially be part of the clan, able to receive the benefits of the diagram... if there were any.
Everyone in the group approached the diagram, and Calirer waved using the leader’s emblem. Imdiately, a runic mark about a centiter in size, similar to the diagram, appeared on their wrists. The whale looked at his own wrist, even more intrigued. Ruri jumped, looking at the mark on her wrist, rembering sothing she had seen up close hundreds of tis.
’Master... this is almost identical to that technique of yours. It’s even in the sa spot on the wrist.’ She spoke through the array. Alm and Bruno nodded, recognizing the similarity. This girl was clever.
After that, Calirer waved the leader’s emblem, and at the back of the hall, a formation dissipated, revealing a large black Jade Slip. She encouraged everyone to touch it, allowing them to learn the first level of the technique.
Almin, Langrum, and Goku approached, reading the technique quickly. Ruri and Loeus, not being evil cultivators, couldn’t use the essential infernal laws for the technique; so they didn’t waste ti with it. Even so, the two beca mbers of the clan.
Minutes passed, and the three withdrew their hands. Langrum and Almin had exhausted eyes, as if they had spent days imrsed in dense reading. Calirer laughed at the normal reaction for the first ti and then looked at the whale. Imdiately, she noticed that his clan mark had changed color to a denser black and almost jumped in surprise. That was the sign that he had completely learned the first level of the technique.
"Take to all the Jade Slips." The whale spoke calmly.
Calirer sighed, why was she so shocked? This strange creature didn’t even bother to disguise how abnormal it was.
Using formations with the leader’s emblem, various Jade Slips were revealed among the intricate formations. Calirer’s initial shock quickly turned into extre astonishnt, but soon it beca excitent. In less than an hour, Goku had already read all five levels of the technique, and his mark was already as black as the abyss. It was clear that he understood and mastered all five without using or training them.
"I spent my whole life getting close to the third level, and only thanks to demon blood did I manage to understand the fourth level like the forr leader," Calirer spoke, sighing. "Judging by the color of your mark, you must have understood the theory completely, which is incredible. However, without demon blood, it’s impossible..."
She imdiately stopped her words when she felt a soul power that seed to cover the world petrify her entire body, then Yin and infernal laws erged in the environnt and rged perfectly. Soon, around the whale, an aura took physical form, making Calirer’s whole body tremble. It was black flas... not that shadow that gave the impression of a fla... it was the real thing, and just by looking, you could already feel your life and existence burning like a dreadful on.
"Manifestation... of the demon... fla..."
Calirer muttered, trembling, the na of the fifth and final level of her clan’s technique. Never in the history of her clan, since they were punished, had anyone managed to use the fourth level. The fifth level should have never revealed itself to the world again... until today.
The complete technique was called ’Life Devouring Manifestation’ and consisted of five levels called manifestations.
The first was the Manifestation of Instinct. The primal instinct of infernal laws ignites and blends with the user, reflecting in red eyes and a black shadow similar to the elentary level of the technique envelops their body. This manifestation slightly elevates the user’s reflexes and physical ability.
The second was the Manifestation of Will. Yin intertwines with the user’s killing intent, creating a physical manifestation. This intent can turn into a direct physical attack, resembling a black magical arrow or missile. And its damage was equivalent to the user’s will.
The third was the Manifestation of Gluttony. This manifestation, which gave its na to the Soul Eaters clan, combines the power of the soul with Yin and infernal laws. This triple fusion allows the devouring of the enemy’s soul, refining it internally and strengthening the user’s own soul.
The fourth was the Manifestation of the Inner Self. With a high soul power completely fused with Yin and infernal laws, the technique can physically manifest. In the past, pure Soul Eaters could create clones with their souls. Beginners had clones with half the attack power, easily destructible. But those with a high level of soul and talent could create clones with up to half the physical capability, even generating multiple clones. Nowadays, with the diluted bloodline, it is impossible to use and can only be partially understood.
The fifth level was the Manifestation of the Demon Fla. What once, at the elentary level of the technique, appeared to be the shadow of a black fla, now finally takes a real physical form. Sustained by the three powers at extrely high levels — Soul, Yin, and Infernal Laws — this manifestation performs an area-of-effect strike, capable of burning and destroying all forms of life. Its power was feared by all and was almost indefensible, but its use always resulted in imdiate death, as the fla also consud the user’s life.
"It’s quite an interesting technique; all five of them." The whale spoke calmly, and Alm and Bruno had many different ideas about these manifestations. anwhile, Ruri looked at him, smiling after seeing Calirer’s exaggerated reaction.
"I have a lot to think about and plan; we can’t waste ti. Now that formalities are done, tell us everything that happened." The whale concluded lightly, and the black fla around his body disappeared as if it were sothing simple and natural.
At that mont, Calirer almost fell to her knees, unbelieving. Everyone in the clan had read glorious stories of the five levels of the techniques and their power. That should have killed him, but... it simply disappeared... it was utterly impossible.
