They just stood there stunned and frozen down, like that door was magically opened by itself, but a question was raised in them, which was... how long was that open for?
Like, between them and the door was at least 30 ters. It was a big warehouse, and while they had the ti to argue and think about the possibility that Joseph’s story is true, the door opened without even one noise coming through it or they noticing it.
There was no fucking way sothing happened outside and not even a single voice ca, like, it was literally impossible. Dozens of guards were outside, equipped with assault rifles and submachine guns and pistols. There is no fucking way they didn’t even let out a shot or a shout or a voice if sothing happened.
"Go... check it." Vincente’s voice ca as he now aid his gun at the door, and imdiately Gabbana and Jelena too aid there while their heartbeat was through the roof.
"Yeah... it’s a good idea..." Joseph said in a mocking way while he was too staring at the door, but he didn’t even see what was happening, just saw the sun coming through a bit from the door... and well, it didn’t help that he said that, because Jelena imdiately went behind his back and pushed the gun to his head to be ready to kill him.
"Go!" Vincent shouted at the guard, and well, fuck, he wasn’t signed up for so bullshit like this, and it was all written on his face.
It was funny that the "untouchable" family with many soldiers now was fucking dripping in sweat and was frozen down by an open door.
But shit, it needed to be done and well, the guard raised his submachine gun with another one and started slowly moving toward the door, ready to shoot if sothing was happening outside. Their steps were slow and deliberate, they were sweating like shit as they were nearing the door, as the silence got bigger and bigger outside.
They went up to the door and, before stepping out, they went to the left and right side like how the police breach into a closed door.
"R-ready?" The guard looked at his partner who was sweating like shit.
"On three..." He said as he put up his hand and counted slowly and then they turned and stepped out of the door.
Silence.
As they stepped out, they literally disappeared without a voice, and the only thing Vincente and the others saw from the inside was the sunlight coming through the door and nothing else.
They heard no shot, they heard not even one single sound. That was the exact sa mont they realized sothing is up, and they might be fucked, like Vincente didn’t even speak, just stared at the door as the pistol trembeld in his hand, and Gabbana too was the sa, while Jelena was literally holding back her breath to hear at least one single fucking sound from outside.
"Call for backup..." Vincente finally spoke as he stepped back, still aiming at the door, and the two guards who stayed in with them pulled out their phones, but they got imdiately visibly shocked as they stared down at their phones.
"N-no signal..." One of them said, and as fast as he did, the other guard pulled out his radio, and it was literally only the static sound, not even one single channel was alive.
He even started slapping and banging the radio, but nothing worked, and seeing that, Olivia knew that the ti had co or at least thought it because there wasn’t a way that they were still alive out there.
Then Jelena thought about it... what Joseph said... he said grim reapers, and it was like fucking exactly those ca, without a single fucking voice, killing everybody outside.
Or if they weren’t dead... then what the fuck are they doing?
"Go look..." She said as she looked at one of the guards, and shit, he was imdiately looking at her with those eyes full of fear and the intent that fuck, he wanted to stay alive.
"Go!" She shouted now as she aid her gun at him.
He looked at her for a mont longer and with it just raised his gun and started walking toward the door, just like the others before him, slowly and with deliberate steps, aiming at the door the whole ti, the finger on the trigger ready to pull it the second he was out.
But the thing is... he never had the chance to get out.
He didn’t even reach the door, like he was 2 ters away from it when he suddenly collapsed on the ground, and his blood imdiately pooled behind him. The sound of his gun clattering on the ground, the sound of the blood splatter going all around, was sothing terrible to hear, that last gasp from him, and the knowing that they are really fucked up.
They knew it really well, because imdiately Vincente ducked behind a crate while Gabbana went behind Joseph too, just like Jelana making a human shield out of him, while the last remaining guard was aiming at the door.
"F-fuck... what is happening...?" Jelena asked, her voice trembling. She was scared for her life, and this ti she was truly scared, it was real and she felt it.
"They are here." Joseph whispered, as still the gun was pushed to his head and well, it didn’t really help the situation that he said it more like put more fear into them, while he was literally just chilling.
On the other hand, Olivia saw sothing that the others didn’t, and it was maybe because she was trained for situations like this. She saw a shadow outside for only a split second, but she saw it, she was sure of it she saw so shadows when the guard collapsed on the ground.
It was exactly how she imagined it, it was exactly what was thought about the DAG by the agency at the school, that they were dead-silent operatives... and that was one of the mistakes Vincente and the others made was that they chose a warehouse outside of the city, and they had no idea of the surroundings and about the detail of the actual warehouse they were in.
That was the key of it, because the DAG was a force that prepared for attacks, for assassinations, and they looked at every bit of detail to make it flawless...
Yeah, like that back service door that they had no fucking idea even existed.
