“You are now the head of the company, can’t you be more responsible? Can’t you be more disciplined? How co you never change your habits of being late and leaving early? William’s gaze followed Cherish as she left, not returning his attention until she and Granny Griffith had left the side hall.
“Most of our uncles have left the company, but their informants are still there. Don’t give them any opportunities!” Robert warned sternly. The subject turned naturally to the matter of shares. “I just told Jimmy Watson that you and Yannis will each take half of the Griffith shares I hold. If there are no issues, we’ll sign the agreent with Lawyer Harrison tomorrow morning.”
“I have no problem with it,” Yannis said, initially absentminded, but his interest piqued upon hearing the news. He looked up at William and quickly spoke before him, “I think my big brother has no problem with it either.”
“Alright, let it be so,” Robert said, satisfied. He got up and returned to his study, intending to smoke a few puffs.
