Chapter 665: Chapter 618: Handso Anyway!

“See you next week, Old Griffith.”

“Sure, see you next week.”

Robert waved goodbye to his old friends, who also waved back with smiles. He was about to start packing up his fishing gear when he saw William holding the fishing rod and a folded stool, and Cherish carrying a bucket in each hand. Without exchanging a word, they had already got everything sorted out. Robert glanced at the two of them, then turned and walked towards the parking area, with them quietly following behind.

In the left bucket, there were several fish caught by William.

In the right bucket, there was only one fish caught by Robert.

However, carrying buckets of different weights and a bag of snacks on the wrist proved to be too much for Cherish. She stubbornly pursed her lips, struggling without making a sound.

Walking behind, William noticed her uneven shoulders and sped up to walk beside her. “Give

the left bucket,” he said.

“I can carry it myself,” Cherish replied softly.

“Give it to !” he demanded with a frown.

“Your hands are full too. You can’t carry it either,” Cherish shook her head, looking at his hands full of stuff.

However, William stuck out his pinky finger and insisted in a deep voice, “Give it to !”

Cherish helplessly retorted, “Carry the bucket with your pinky? It’ll break!”

“Give it to !” William’s patience had run out, and he impulsively reached for the bucket.

“No!”

“Give it!”

“No!”

As the two continued bickering, a dawdling Robert ahead suddenly ca to a halt. He turned around and approached them. “What’s all the noise about?” he sternly asked.

Imdiately, William and Cherish fell silent.

Narrowing his eyes, Robert’s gaze swept over William and finally fixed on Cherish’s face. He suddenly reached out, snatched both the buckets from her hands, and easily carried them as he resud walking. Caught off guard, Cherish barely had ti to react before he walked away. A wave of warmth welled in her heart, and she instinctively quickened her pace to catch up with Robert.

“Grandpa Griffith, let

carry one of the buckets.”

“Not necessary,” The refusal was harsh and firm.

Cherish chuckled, “I’ll carry the lighter one.”

“I said it’s not necessary! You’re barely eating as it is. With your small size and skinny body, you might spill the water accidentally while carrying the bucket,” Robert stubbornly rejected the idea.

With her hands holding the bag of snacks, Cherish lowered her voice, “I do eat.”

“One al of mine is enough to feed you for an entire day!” Robert scoffed, having noticed her ager dinner earlier on.

Speechless, Cherish listened as William caught up with them and followed up, “Starting from today, you must eat at least one full bowl of rice every day.”

“One bowl is too little!” Robert snorted. “At least one and a half bowls.”

Cherish didn’t usually eat much, and hearing their words put her into a predicant.

Upon returning from fishing, Robert fed the large fish and claid that William had confidently said that he would catch an even bigger fish. To prove that his words were sincere, Robert carefully preserved the evidence for comparison. Initially, the housekeeper fed the fish, but Robert eventually took over the task himself.

Seeing his ticulous care, the old lady smiled, “My lord, hasn’t William caught a fish yet?”

“As if he could catch one.” Robert stared at the fish, his serious face breaking into a smile. He put the fish food in the cabinet and then turned to ask, “What ti is it now? Why haven’t they arrived?”

“Who are you talking about?” the old lady asked knowingly.

Robert frowned, “Who do you think?”

Cherish had been keeping Robert company and playing chess with him every afternoon since William had been busy lately. After quitting her job at the Griffiths’, she took ti off, planning to make work arrangents after the New Year. The old lady knew very well who he was asking about, but she pretended not to know. “My lord, are you talking about William? He’s been busy these days.”

“I’m not talking about him!” Robert grumbled.

“Then who?” The old lady held back her laughter.

Robert was reluctant, but he uttered the na, “Cherish Turner.”

“Oh—” The old lady nodded as if catching on, “Young Cherish is always on ti.”

Robert silently acknowledged Cherish’s punctuality. Glancing at the clock, it was ten past one, five minutes to go. He went straight to the study to wait, setting up the chessboard in advance. However, as the minutes ticked by, Cherish had yet to arrive. Growing restless, Robert was about to rise from his seat when Cherish knocked and entered the room.
