“Since you’re awake, I won’t bother you anymore. Your phone is out of battery, so I had to bring you to the hotel. Get so rest.” Cherish Turner paused before adding, “Or, you can use the hotel phone to call your fiancée and let her take care of you. I’ll be leaving now.”
“Wait, Cherish. I know you still care about . Otherwise, why would you stay to look after ?” As he spoke, Daniel Peacock threw off the blanket and rushed over to hug Cherish, his bare feet on the floor.
He regretted it; he didn’t want to lose her!
“Daniel, don’t get the wrong idea. I have no romantic feelings for you anymore. I ca here only because the bartender called
after you got drunk. I didn’t really want to co, but we do know each other after all.”
She thought to herself: Daniel, I am not like you – heartless and ungrateful.
But even then, our relationship can only go this far.

Just in the nick of ti, the hotel room door was slamd open! A resolute figure suddenly appeared!
Soon after, Cherish felt her body lightened as Daniel was pulled away from her and slamd against the wall, his bones almost shattered from the impact!
Before Cherish could fully recover, a cold yet familiar voice rang above her head, sending chills down her spine!
“Daniel Peacock, you’re courting death!”
It was William Griffith’s voice! He had co to save her!
Cherish clutched her clothes tightly and anxiously sat up.
After knocking Daniel down, William walked over to Cherish. Seeing her disheveled appearance, he decisively took off his own coat and wrapped her up entirely in it!
Then, looking deeply into her eyes while carefully cradling her face, he held her in his embrace, “Cherish, don’t be afraid. I’m here; you don’t have to be scared of anything.”
She didn’t know why, but when she saw him appear in front of her, the tears Cherish had been holding back finally fell uncontrollably.
