Yu Sheng felt that the two handso guys on the spaceship had a deep misunderstanding and bias about his piloting skills, and he had evidence.

But he couldn’t refute it.

Because he indeed had little practical experience—yet again, every veteran began as a beginner, didn’t they?

Although the chances of starting with a main battleship are indeed rare... but anyway, relying on special and quite effective piloting techniques, the Otherworld Inn did start moving under Yu Sheng’s control and began to accelerate continuously.

This "Giant Tower", which looked like it was topped with a Flying Church, gradually passed the "Near-Star Sky Domain" around the Taixu Spirit Hub. The energy grids in the middle and tail of the tower beca increasingly bright as the power increased, and so "sub-towers" orbiting the main tower were also lit up, with shields activated and adjusted to jump preparation status. anwhile, from the image returned by the external monitor, the last "Immortal Palace" on the planet’s high orbit was rapidly retreating behind the Otherworld Inn and gradually turned into a dim light spot near the Taixu Star.

Yu Sheng sat in the captain’s seat, squinting his eyes slightly.

His perception rged with the spaceship, the powerful reactor of the starship seemingly synced with his heartbeat. He could feel every energy pipeline here, every engine, every compartnt, and the dim starlight shining on the ship’s armor.

As he bathed in this distant starlight, hiding countless secrets, he seed to hear the mysterious whispers and low hums between the stars——

Yu Sheng suddenly opened his eyes, as if waking from a short and false dream, looking with so uncertainty at the vast and deep space outside the viewing window.

A fluffy big tail instantly rested on his arm, and Hu Li leaned over, "What’s wrong, Savior?"

"...I seed to have almost fallen asleep just now, felt like I heard sothing, but it also seed like just an illusion." Yu Sheng lightly shook his head, recalling the peculiar feeling of listening to the stars’ whispers while bathing in starlight and gazing into deep space, then suddenly frowned and turned to the side, "I heard that the Algredians know how to listen to the stars’ voices—they believe that the universe’s stars are all whispering, containing the power of truth and guidance?"

"That’s what they say," Zheng Zhi, sitting diagonally behind, nodded. It was his first ti on a spaceship, and he was still quite excited, but after hearing Yu Sheng’s words, he imdiately beca serious, "They seem to be able to precisely perceive many subtle changes in stars’ spectra, magnetic fields, and so on, and use this to guide their daily life. It’s said that because of this ability, the proportion of ’Star Readers’ among them is far greater than in other races... those geniuses who don’t need navigation computers and can directly use their brains to calculate star maps and navigate the ship."

He paused and, recalling what he had seen in the data, continued, "Of course, what exactly is ’the whispers of the stars’? Perhaps only they themselves can understand it. This is a kind of ’cognitive talent’ that highly depends on racial traits, just like how so people are born with an extra cone cell compared to others, and ordinary people can never imagine what the world looks like in this situation despite understanding the theory—it’s like Algredians’ view of the universe always has so extra colors and sounds compared to other races... Whatever they say, we can only listen, after all, they truly can foretell many things by observing the stars."

Yu Sheng listened thoughtfully, not speaking for a mont.

Even though he lacked evidence, he felt that what he "heard" just now didn’t seem to be the sa thing as the legendary "whispers of the stars" described by the Algredians.

He took a light breath and looked up at the boundless starry sky outside the viewing window.

No matter what, what he felt in that brief trance seed to be devoid of danger and malice.

New data and graphs popped up on the adjacent holographic display, and the auxiliary control system reported the current position and status of the spacecraft, indicating that jump preparation was complete.

"We’re about to jump," Yu Sheng reminded, "There might be so impact during the in-and-out process of Super Space, stay seated."

The montarily wandering Erin instantly rushed back, jumped onto the chair on Yu Sheng’s other side, and then imitated him by activating the chair’s safety lock function.

However, the safety locks on both sides of her chair only extended slightly, while a line of red text jumped out on the holographic display in front of the armrest: "Warning, no occupant detected, safety lock cannot close—please be seated promptly."

The little puppet sitting excitedly in the middle of the chair waiting for the ship to jump was dumbfounded, staring blankly at the glaring warning ssage.

Two seconds later, the little one burst into indignation, "I @# damn this thing #¥..."

In the blink of an eye, the person who designed this chair lost all their ancestors and loved ones, even the neighbors’ dogs couldn’t save their parents...

Seeing this, Yu Sheng hurriedly reached out, picked up the small puppet from the chair, and casually tossed her to the fox girl on the other side, "Hold her."

Hu Li responded and held the still cursing little puppet in her arms. Erin, apparently feeling embarrassed, struggled fiercely on the spot—however, Yu Sheng knew very well the strength of the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox. Those slender arms closed like a vise; Erin flailed twice in Hu Li’s embrace and stopped moving, starting to feel heartbroken quietly...

The whole ship’s broadcast began reminding for the jump, and monts later, the Phase Engine started.

This was Yu Sheng’s first ti activating this contraption.

He felt a trendous surge of energy flow into the power array, and the Phase Engine devoured nearly one-third of the entire ship’s energy output in an instant like a black hole. Then, he heard a "boom" of illusory thunder in his ears as the whole spaceship seed to shudder violently in the real universe before losing mass and substance, "falling" into a space bubble enclosed by warped space.

The starlight outside the observation window suddenly twisted, blurred, and stretched infinitely. In this infinite extension, the stars turned into an endless tunnel that could not be captured or distinguished by the naked eye. Soon, even this tunnel disappeared, leaving only a spectrum of light outside the Otherworld Inn, fading from red to blue—the entire observable universe was compressed into this thin veil of light encircling the spaceship.

The artificial gravity in the hall briefly failed, then gradually restored.

Erin, held in the arms of Hu Li, seed to have forgotten the sadness earlier. The little puppet opened her eyes wide in wonder, gazing at the strange red and blue light mbrane outside the window as it compressed endless stars, slowly opening her mouth: "...Wow!"

Luna sat behind Yu Sheng, gently lifting her head. The light and shadow of the Super Space reflected off this Artificial Saintess’s alloy shell. After a while, she softly exclaid, "Very, beautiful."

"Master Uncle, it seems to be going smoothly," Xuan Che whispered to Master Yuan Hao, "and the big ship is quite stable, much more so than the small shuttle I took last ti."

Master Yuan Hao thought for a mont: "There was one ti the Immortal Boat failed, right when entering the jump..."

Just as the elder handso man began to speak, Erin glared at him, "You shut up!"

Master Yuan Hao looked a bit regretful: "I still have a long story to tell afterward."

Yu Sheng heard the conversation around him, but he did not speak.

He still sat in the captain’s seat, but at this mont, most of his mind and perception were focused on the Otherworld Inn—highly synchronized with the ship, breathing with it, moving forward together, subrged together in this "Super Space" that transcended the material universe and surpassed the light-speed Critical.

In a daze, he felt his perception seed to transcend his physical shell, even surpassing the steel body of the ship. He felt as if he traversed the stars in an instant, wandering in a more essential, more "fundantal" "construct layer" of this world.

He didn’t know if this was a normal phenonon or how it differed from what the Algredians perceived the world—because perhaps there was no second person in this world like him, able to observe this material universe from a superluminal perspective, synchronized with a ship in transition.

The rapidly flowing starlight washed past beneath his feet. Yu Sheng looked around among the stars, seeing two beams of faint light in the infinitely distant place, which seed to be the oldest celestial bodies in this universe, shining brightly deep in the stars;

He also saw a peculiar Constant Star, with its planetary system situated at the corner of a distant galaxy, hidden in the shadows obscured by dust clouds. At regular intervals, the Constant Star would turn a peculiar shade of pink;

He saw quasars erupting at the boundary of gravitational rifts, the magnificent flashes and violent energy releases perating space several light-seconds wide. A mysterious "information" instantly imprinted in his mind, revealing the na of this spectacular sight—Cosmic Fireworks.

Weird na.

A multitude of strange and fleeting thoughts flowed through Yu Sheng’s mind, occasionally hearing ssages the stars conveyed to him, understanding so inexplicable, neither harmful nor seemingly useful "knowledge."

Then he paused in a stream of starlight, seeing so tiny "glimrs" deep in the stars.

Those glimrs were like "footnotes" on the world’s foundation, shining brilliantly amid the cosmic background radiation.

Yu Sheng hesitated for a mont, trying to extend his "hand" to touch those "information clusters" perating the cosmic background radiation.

New information rushed directly into his mind, and he "saw" illusory flas soaring, with starlight perating the flas, whispering secrets of this universe sowhere to him—

"This law runs on this BUG, don’t touch it."

Yu Sheng quickly withdrew his "hand."

"...?"
