“What happened to the Zhurong rover?”

The mont Lin Xu’s words fell, Bai Mo’s expression instantly changed.

“You shouldn’t ask.”

“You don’t have the authority to ask such questions...”

“Forget about authority.”

Lin Xu glanced at his watch.

“The apocalypse will occur in 29 minutes. By then, your entire world will be destroyed.”

“I will stay here; none of the information you speak of can be leaked in any way.”

“If you don’t trust , you can lock up right now!”

“But I must know the answer. It’s important!”

Bai Mo suddenly began coughing violently. The dical staff beside her hurriedly stepped forward to support her, but she waved them off.

“If the apocalypse happens in 29 minutes, then what’s the point of knowing the answer?”

“I don’t belong to this world.”

Lin Xu laid his cards on the table directly.

“The destruction of your world has nothing to do with , but the information I get from you can save mine!”

“...Lin Xu, are you crazy?”

“You should know the doomsday rhetoric spread by Planetary Reincarnation is completely unreliable!”

“We did find a large amount of abnormal astronomical evidence, even so phenona physics can’t explain, but none of it leads to ‘doomsday.’”

“That’s just rumors spread by manipulated masses, no different from the 2012 doomsday rumors we heard as kids!”

“Don’t believe Jiang Xingye... Although she never admits to being the head of Planetary Reincarnation, her actual influence is greater than the real leader!”

“She’s just a cult leader, a traitor!”

“You...”

“Enough nonsense.”

Lin Xu cut Bai Mo off.

“The Zhurong rover also entered that higher-dinsional space you once entered!”

“You saw it there, and you even saw Mars!”

As soon as he said this, Bai Mo froze on the spot.

“How... could you possibly know that??”

“I told you, I don’t belong to this world.”

Lin Xu looked Bai Mo straight in the eyes.

“In another world, you told everything about that space yourself.”

“When a three-dinsional being ascends to a higher dinsion, what it sees is only a two-dinsional plane ford by the circular cross-section of the viewing cone intersecting the three-dinsional world.”

“Do you rember that phrase?”

“M-Theory.”

Bai Mo suddenly beca completely calm.

“AdS/CFT correspondence.”

“Higher-dinsional information is encoded onto lower-dinsional boundaries via the holographic principle.”

“You are a higher-dinsional butterfly born from negatively curved spaceti.”

“I believe you now.”

Bai Mo’s lips trembled slightly.

“Butterfly.”

“No wonder you thought the code word was ‘butterfly’...”

Bai Mo muttered to herself, then suddenly collapsed weakly into her wheelchair.

Her lips turned almost purple in an instant, and the dical staff sward forward, beginning ergency treatnt.

Lin Xu, standing nearby, was dumbfounded.

Just over twenty minutes left.

Are you seriously about to die?!

What kind of dramatic scene is this?!

“Quick, give her adrenaline!”

Lin Xu shouted anxiously:

“Whatever dicine is strongest, just give it to her!”

“She doesn’t need to live long! 24 minutes is enough!”

“Trust ! Listen to ...”

“Shut up!”

A security guard nearby frowned and scolded sharply. Lin Xu wanted to call Skull Head imdiately to rush in and kill all the useless people, but when he glanced around, he saw the close-defense cannons hidden under rooftop shelters.

Damn!

Ship cannons landed on shore—what kind of thuggery is this?!

He could only wait on the sidelines, but his mind raced through the information Bai Mo had given.

M-Theory?

He knew this theory.

Essentially, M-Theory is an extension of string theory, a “conjecture” attempting to describe a grand unified theory as closely as possible.

But according to Bai Mo...

This conjecture seems to be coming true?

Butterfly?

What the hell is that??

Negatively curved spaceti?

What is that??

Damn.

At least explain what you an before dying!

As ti ticked down second by second, Lin Xu nearly couldn’t help himself from pinching Bai Mo’s philtrum multiple tis.

Then, Bai Mo finally regained consciousness.

“Adrenaline, atropine, chloramine.”

She spoke quickly to the dical staff beside her:

“Give the maximum allowed dose.”

“I have to stay conscious for at least 20 minutes!”

Then she turned to Lin Xu and continued:

“The Zhurong rover passed through a ‘dinsional bubble’ of higher-dinsional space.”

“We call that space a ‘bubble,’ but it’s very likely not actually a bubble in form.”

“It’s a fusion channel—a narrow passage ford by countless lower-dinsional three-dinsional spaces breaking spatial boundaries and fusing together due to so temporarily unknown cause.”

“The Zhurong rover didn’t record anything and wasn’t damaged.”

“Even after it was successfully retrieved, for a long ti, no one knew what happened...”

“Wait!”

Lin Xu interrupted Bai Mo.

“If even you don’t know, then how does Planetary Reincarnation know?”

“They attacked the return capsule at great cost. They must have solid evidence!”

“Is it possible they know the Zhurong rover better than you?”

“In other aspects, Planetary Reincarnation might have more information.”

Bai Mo shook her head decisively:

“But not about the Zhurong rover!”

“They only know it’s special because within their organization, those who experienced the ‘Prophecy’ saw the Zhurong rover in higher-dinsional space!”

“Just like !”

“But I explain my experience scientifically; they rely on so-called faith and deities.”

“Don’t mind that! It’s not important at all!”

“Zhurong rover!”

“If you truly believe the apocalypse is coming, if you really want to stop it, the Zhurong rover must be the key clue!”

“Listen carefully!”

“Two years after retrieving the Zhurong rover, we finally discovered its anomaly.”

“Rember what I told you about M-Theory: higher-dinsional information can be encoded on lower-dinsional boundaries.”

“But what if a lower-dinsional object directly entered higher-dinsional space?”

“What would happen?”

“It would continuously break through countless lower-dinsional boundaries, so theoretically, it should be encoded countless tis!”

“And that’s exactly what happened.”

“The Zhurong rover is physically indistinguishable from any material we know.”

“But when we observe it microscopically, we find this probe—or rather, the matter composing the probe...”

“Is pure chaos.”

“What kind of chaos?”

Lin Xu asked eagerly.

“Chaos of forces.”

“The four fundantal forces inside its matter are completely disordered—I can’t explain too much because it’s not my specialty!”

“But you should know what that ans.”

“It could be the horn of doomsday or the start of a miracle!”

“We might be able to unify the four fundantal forces through it and truly complete the grand unified theory!”

“That’s why it’s so important!”

“Understood...”

Lin Xu glanced at his watch.

“The last minute.”

“One final question.”

“You also entered that space, so you...”

“I’m dying.”

Bai Mo spoke rapidly:

“But not everyone who enters that space dies.”

“The chaos of the four fundantal forces sotis exhibits baffling traits.”

“So people even...”

“Die and co back to life, reverse aging!”

“Now do you understand why Planetary Reincarnation is so terrifying?”

“Because at certain monts, they are indeed creating so-called ‘miracles’!”

“Only, those are miracles of physics!”

At that mont, Lin Xu felt as if a veil had been lifted.

Everything made sense.

The last ten seconds.

Lin Xu looked at Bai Mo and said:

“Thank you.”

“I will co again.”

“Give a code word that will imdiately earn your trust when I see you.”

“I can’t enter the MRI machine! That phrase will prove it!”

Bai Mo said, then turned to the guards. At that mont, a white light erupted from the void.

“Guard! Give him your access code!”

In the final mont before his consciousness faded, Lin Xu heard the guard shout:

“Purple Mountain!”
