Saul closed the door.
This was already the third noble visitor he had refused.
"If it's still people like this, don't bring them to find anymore," he said to the attendant nearby.
"But..." the attendant looked troubled. "Lord Cogel represents one of Evernight's dukes. I can't afford to offend him either."
Saul tapped his chin. "Then tell them that the next person who bothers will beco fish feed."
Seeing the attendant's stunned expression, Saul smiled without emphasizing again that he wasn't joking.
Anyway, if soone really ca, then future people would know whether he was joking or not.
Saul returned to the palace interior, where there was still a guest.
Royer was leaning against a pillar in the center of the palace, smiling happily.
"Those nobles are annoying, right? But don't worry, they're also very smart. They'll desperately test your tolerance limits, but as soon as you show the slightest impatience, they'll obediently retreat."
Royer curled his lip. "Those who don't know to retreat have long been cleaned out."
"I hope so," Saul said in a low voice. "I don't like raising fish."
Royer nodded. "I don't like it either, but there's no choice. rmaids are like fertilizer for Red Sea Trees—without them, Red Sea Trees can't continue growing."
He followed Saul into the laboratory.
Royer was quite thick-skinned. As long as Saul didn't directly stop him, he dared to follow in and flip through others' notes.
And Saul glanced sideways but didn't prevent Royer from entering.
Anyway, from these surface materials, Royer couldn't tell what raw materials he had fused.
Take Little Algae, for example—who knew what it had eaten?
At this mont, the most conspicuous thing placed on the experintal table was a soft, red mass of flesh.
That mass of flesh was trembling, and when Royer approached, it seed to want to escape, as if it had its own consciousness.
"What is this?" Royer bent down, carefully observing this red mass of flesh.
"The rmaid I brought."
"Ha, you specifically kept it by your side, and I thought it was so special. You killed it just like that?"
Saul poked the flesh mass in front of him with a glass rod. "I kept it because it was useful; I killed it also because it was useful."
The red flesh mass was like a drop of blood that had just dripped into a glass vessel, seeming ready to burst at any mont yet maintaining stability due to surface tension.
Royer was indeed a third-rank wizard. After just a few observations, he discovered the problem.
"You injected consciousness into this mass of flesh and blood?" A trace of surprise flashed in his eyes. "How did you make the consciousness body maintain clarity in a situation completely incompatible with human physiological structure?"
"Let the consciousness body adapt first. Once it gets used to it, it's fine." Saul brushed it off. "This ti you ca here, besides checking my experintal progress, is there sothing else?"
Royer straightened up. "Haha, how can it be called checking? It's just everyone discussing together. But speaking of which, Alfonso looks dull, but he's also researched rmaids for decades. If he can't solve the problem, I didn't expect you to solve it right away either. Even if you finally say you're powerless, I won't bla you."
He leaned close to Saul. "To tell the truth, I actually ca to cooperate with you."
Saul put down the glass rod and pushed the flesh mass he had deliberately displayed to Royer back into the isolation chamber.
"Cooperate on what?"
"Creating new royalty." Royer casually put his arm around Saul's shoulder. He was shorter than Saul, making this gesture sowhat awkward. "I know Alexandra has been looking for you recently, but whatever he promises you, I can give you things of equal value."
Saul remained calm. "He and I are old acquaintances. You can investigate this."
His actions in Blue Water Bay weren't particularly concealed. If high-rank wizards wanted to investigate, they could easily discover the truth from clues.
Of course, certain details would be difficult to determine.
Especially things that happened under the sea surface.
"Old acquaintances?" Royer snorted. "What kind of friendship can a wizard have with ordinary humans? Alexandra must have so treasures passed down from his family, right? I can guess so of the resources in his hands—nothing more than so special magical artifacts passed down from ancient tis."
His guess was in the right direction, just that he didn't consider that Saul was also the party seeking cooperation.
And he couldn't imagine that Alexandra's ancestors had even reached a safekeeping agreent with Black Fla Empire's emperor, entrusting a magical artifact that ordinary people couldn't use but wizards coveted to others for safekeeping.
Naturally, Saul wouldn't ntion the content of his deal with Sander. "Then what conditions can you offer ?"
"How could I be the one offering conditions? I'm not the one who wants to be emperor." Royer smiled cheerfully.
"Who wants to be this puppet emperor?"
"Alexandra's stepmother. She had a child with the previous emperor. Unfortunately, unlike Alexandra, the child didn't inherit rmaid royal bloodline. So after the old emperor died, we brought Alexandra back and sent her and her child to a small mountain village inland."
"So when they heard you were going to fuse with new rmaid royal bloodline, they imdiately ca running to sign up?"
"Sign up? You used that word very aptly—they indeed loudly shouted their nas. But I also considered that their family has had successful bloodline fusion experience after all, so the success rate of fusing new bloodline would be higher, so I brought them over."
Saul originally wasn't interested in Royer's experint. After all, he was too busy with his own affairs.
On one hand, he had to treat rmaids' pollution contagion disease, and on the other hand, he had to create the third target for Symphony of Fate.
But just as Saul was about to refuse, he suddenly thought of a problem.
"If I help you with bloodline fusion experints, can I access the rmaid royal bloodline stored by the Tribunal?"
Royer stroked his chin. "You're indeed still interested in rmaids! Fine, if you can help with fusion experints, I can promise you right now that I'll give you at least one-tenth of the original royal bloodline for initial research."
Royer winked at Saul. "How about it? I'm quite generous, right? I heard you haven't even touched Alfonso's portion yet. Haha, don't look at his official business manner—he's actually very stingy."
Saul clicked his tongue. "Then let's try it. I'm not interested in fusing bloodlines, but I've indeed coveted the original royal bloodline for a long ti."
Royer's gaze seed to casually sweep across the entire laboratory, finally settling on a small water tank.
"Are you planning to raise other fish species?"
That small glass tank currently had no water and was clean and empty.
"Not fish." Saul changed the subject. "When will the bloodline fusion experint begin?"
"So eager!" Royer had achieved his purpose and headed outside. "In a couple days, a couple days. Tomorrow Lord Elo from Black Fla Empire will arrive, and during this ti all projects must be suspended. After we've entertained him, we'll conduct the experints."
