Beneath the Red Sea Trees was a space hidden under the seabed.

This place had waterways complex enough for soone to get lost in for a lifeti, tangled seaweed, and nurous concealnt arrangents set up by the rmaids hiding within.

rmaid Aqua passed through a narrow waterway and arrived at the most hidden area of this underwater space.

Five rmaids were already hiding here. When Aqua appeared, they erged from crevices in rocks and sand.

These five rmaids all shared a common characteristic—parts of the scales on their tails were cyan, and the areas were quite large. Even the one with the least had at least one-third of his tail scales in cyan.

And these rmaids with cyan scales had much more lively eyes than other rmaids.

One of the rmaids swam to Aqua. "Little Blue was taken away."

Aqua gritted his teeth.

Although he hadn't been at the scene, when Little Blue took his place and stayed above, it ant Little Blue would very likely be killed or taken away by the pursuing wizards.

"It's my fault." Aqua didn't shirk responsibility. "I was rash to go observe that new wizard."

It was because a few days ago when eting with Coral, she ntioned a newly arrived wizard whose scent was particularly familiar, that he couldn't resist getting slightly closer to observe him.

But who would have thought the other party's ntal power was so strong?

Aqua's soul body was very special, possessing extrely strong concealnt abilities. Many second-rank wizards could walk over his head without discovering his existence.

And those third-rank wizards, especially that male wizard with short red hair, wouldn't discover him as long as the distance was sufficient.

But earlier, Aqua had just approached the seabed when he was discovered by that newly arrived wizard.

Realizing sothing was wrong, he imdiately escaped through the hidden waterways as they had practiced, while Little Blue imdiately stepped forward to take his place and confuse their pursuers.

After that, Aqua fled all the way to the edge of the Red Sea, hid for several days, and only returned to their original gathering place after being reminded by other rmaids.

Returning here, he wasn't surprised to hear that Little Blue had been taken away, but not being surprised didn't an he wasn't sad.

Their atavistic rmaids had only gathered twenty-so individuals so far, and every action required special caution.

But even so, people were still discovered by Tribunal wizards and taken away.

Those taken away never returned.

Except for Coral, but Coral was different—she was special, and wizards might not bear to kill her.

Moreover, Coral had actually deliberately exposed herself and been taken away!

Seeing Aqua's guilt, the other rmaids ca forward to comfort him.

Anyway, for rmaids, being taken for research or killed was already commonplace.

As long as Aqua was fine, their plan wouldn't be affected.

But just because these rmaids didn't bla Aqua didn't an no one would scold him.

"You know self-reproach, so you're not beyond salvation!"

A black rmaid appeared from the entrance Aqua had co through.

Only half of his pitch-black rmaid tail was visible, with all other parts obscured by black mist.

Such a mysterious rmaid initially didn't gain the trust of Aqua and the other atavistic rmaids. But this rmaid carried the aura of their atavistic rmaid royalty.

And very intensely.

They had never seen anyone with such strong royal bloodline.

He called himself "Black Fish." After gaining the trust of Aqua and others, he helped them greatly.

He helped repair their soul bodies, allowing them to stop living muddled lives and gain independent thinking abilities.

He taught them how to hunt for food instead of waiting for human feeding.

He led them to develop underwater living spaces, finding suitable hiding places under the cover of other ordinary rmaids.

Most importantly, he told them about Red Sea Trees' harm to rmaids. He made them understand how to resist Red Sea Tree stem blocks and resist the attraction and calling from deep within their bloodline.

The atavistic rmaids now hiding on the seabed all understood that if they continued using Red Sea Tree stem blocks, their hard-won repaired soul bodies would continue being polluted by black tides, then turn back into waste that could only eat, drink, and defecate.

Life had no future, and neither did their race.

Facing Mr. Black Fish, Aqua couldn't say a word of rebuttal.

"I was wrong." He could only admit his mistake again.

Black Fish swam to the center of the group. "Black tides are about to co. You must not do unnecessary things now."

Aqua asked carefully, "Mr. Black Fish, but we only have twenty-so mbers now. Isn't the number too few? Even if we people can escape the Red Sea's range, can we settle down safely outside?"

Black Fish said confidently, "I've already found a suitable place outside. As long as you can escape this ti, you can first settle there."

Then Mr. Black Fish told all the rmaids several precautions before pulling Aqua away alone.

The two left the other rmaids' gathering caves and ca to the middle of a narrow waterway.

Black Fish stopped, his back to Aqua. "You're usually not a rash rmaid. Why did you go test that newly arrived wizard?"

Aqua had long wanted to tell Mr. Black Fish about this.

"Mr. Black Fish, I was just too curious about that wizard. Is he... is he your disguised identity among humans?"

Black Fish imdiately turned around, his tail almost brushing Aqua's face. "Why would you think that?"

Aqua was sowhat afraid of Black Fish but steeled himself to say, "You understand the wizard side's situation very well, so my sister and I have always speculated whether you have a disguised identity within the Tribunal."

"A few days ago, my sister saw a new wizard who had a scent very similar to yours."

"Similar to mine?"

"Not the sa, but that feeling... besides discovering it on you, it's never appeared on anyone else."

Black Fish's face was completely wrapped in black mist, making it impossible to see clearly.

But Aqua felt the other party was extrely terrifying in that instant.

The black mist wrapped around the other party seed to be transforming into sharp mouths wanting to tear at his flesh and blood.

Aqua shrank his neck.

But the terrifying aura around Mr. Black Fish quickly disappeared.

He returned to his original peaceful deanor. "That's not . You must not actively contact him in the future. Especially you—stay far away and don't appear before him."

Aqua heard from Mr. Black Fish's words that he seed to know that newly arrived wizard, but to avoid angering him again, he just nodded without voicing his speculation.

After finishing discussing Saul's matter, their conversation turned to the most important topic.

"I'll warn you one last ti. After this black tide recedes, regardless of what happens, you few must leave according to the predetermined plan and route. I'll et up with you halfway. Rember, regardless of what happens!"

Aqua had long morized the escape route by heart, but he still felt sowhat uneasy.

"Mr. Black Fish, may I ask what will happen? I'm not trying to pry into your plans, just... just I want to be ntally prepared."

Black Fish looked at Aqua and couldn't help sighing inwardly, rmaids, even atavistic rmaids, currently have too weak minds. But no matter—after experiencing that event, they should gain so improvent... they must improve, or they'll waste such excellent bodies!
