Kist had never interfered with the sealing operation.

Whether it was the bustling activity opposite with the joy of approaching success, or the deathly silence and anxiety of formation malfunctions.

He stood like an outsider, as if the life and death of the Borderland and who would beco the next third-rank wizard had nothing to do with him.

But now, this outsider had beco the best executor for improving the Ice Lock seal.

His strength was formidable—none of the second-rank wizards present could fathom his true capabilities.

He was well-adapted to the Borderland's pollution and dangers. Before Saul's arrival, he had stayed here for a long ti and understood the rules of this place.

But before Saul ntioned this person, everyone seed to have forgotten his existence.

No matter how busy or anxious they were, no one approached Kist, who stood alone in a corner away from the crowd.

Of course, if Kist had known Saul would drag him out at this mont, he probably would have just walked away earlier.

Now, being called by na and watched by the strongest wizards present, that sense of being an outside observer quietly vanished.

He ignored the others' gazes, looked at Saul, suddenly laughed once, then gave a light sigh.

"Alright, I indeed have nothing to do. What do you need to do?"

Kist didn't know what Saul and the others had just discussed, but he clearly understood that the Ice Lock formation now had problems and couldn't complete its intended sealing objective.

Being called to help at this ti was probably not going to be anything good.

Though he was well aware of this, he didn't refuse. Instead, he swayed his silver harp while walking leisurely toward Saul.

Saul briefly explained the improvents he wanted to make to reinforce the seal, finally telling Kist about the important task he needed to undertake.

"Hmm..." Kist stroked his chin. "Sounds quite dangerous."

"The Storm Eye's sealing concerns the entire Borderland. This is also sothing Ophelia values extrely highly." Pei'er imdiately said seriously.

Since the last incident at Old Days Manor, Pei'er had learned that Kist worked for Ophelia.

At this mont, she didn't want Saul to take out the Baysek Magic Mirror, and Saul had conveniently proposed a new plan, so she naturally wanted to ensure the new plan could be implented smoothly.

First threaten Kist with Ophelia's authority, and if he didn't comply, threaten him with his life.

Regardless of Kist's reputation or arrogance, he was rely a second-rank wizard.

Kist shrank his neck, tightly hugging his harp, tilting his head to glance at Pei'er. "Oh, don't scare . If you keep scaring , I'll mutate and collapse right here for you to see!"

This person!

Pei'er frowned, about to teach Kist a lesson when Saul spoke behind her.

"Kist, are you willing to take on this task? This task is indeed very dangerous—ordinary people can't handle it. If you're truly resistant to it or lack confidence to complete it, you can refuse. After all, we don't have ti to test your courage and strength."

Kist smiled while stroking his chin. "Are you trying to provoke ? Heh, I won't be influenced."

Just when others thought Kist would refuse, who would have expected this person to make a 180-degree turn.

"Such an important task naturally should be entrusted to the powerful . You should know that among all second-rank wizards in the wizard world, I'm one of the top strong ones."

No one intended to compete with Kist for second-rank wizard rankings. Since Kist was willing to deliver the mirror into the ice-sealed Old Days Manor, others naturally didn't mind letting him enjoy his verbal satisfaction.

Just as everyone was breathing sighs of relief and beginning preparations for moving the mirror, another person approached.

The masked Lucy walked over.

Having been affected by the Storm Eye's pollution before, her spiritual body remained unstable and she couldn't contribute to sealing the Storm Eye, but she had been helping Corey set up the Ice Lock formation.

After all, she had also conducted in-depth research on this Ice Lock formation.

So when Lucy first approached, Saul thought she wanted to help.

Who would have expected Lucy to say, "It's too dangerous for Kist to deliver the mirror alone. I'll go with him. If anything unexpected happens, we can help each other."

Saul knew that after leaving Old Days Manor last ti, Lucy's impression of Kist had changed.

But he hadn't expected Lucy to be willing to venture into Old Days Manor with Kist.

Moreover, Lucy didn't look like she had been hypnotized by Kist.

Saul looked toward Kist, who didn't object, then looked toward Herbert and Pei'er.

They nodded.

Pei'er even said aningfully, "I'll watch over them."

With a third-rank wizard watching, Saul felt reassured. He turned to Corey, "Next, please continue hosting the entire formation's operation, Wizard Corey."

"?" Corey's eyes widened slightly. Saul was clearly taking control of the situation now—why would he give up the hosting position?

"Yes," Saul said matter-of-factly. "Although the overall formation hasn't changed, the projection distance and orientation have both changed. You should be more familiar with calculations in this area."

"Then what will you do?"

"?" Saul looked at Kist, who seed resigned as he followed Lucy toward the mirror, lightly rubbing so black stains between his fingers. "I'll make a third plan."

Corey showed a vivid expression that didn't belong to a doll for the first ti. "You have a third plan?"

Corey didn't ask what Saul's third plan was. She only knew that when Kist and Lucy, escorted by Pei'er and Herbert's protection, quickly and steadily walked toward the black hole with the mirror, Saul stood at the edge of Old Days Manor holding a longbow he had sohow produced.

The bow's arrow was specially made—the arrow's end wasn't the common tail feathers but a large mass of irregularly shaped ice crystals.

It made people doubt how much accuracy this arrow would have when shot.

No one knew what this arrow was for.

Just like no one knew Saul could use a bow and arrow.

Wizards and bows didn't quite match stylistically.

Kist wore a smile on his face, as if he had seen sothing very interesting.

Lucy's emotions remained low due to her facial distortion. She very seriously escorted the mirror, avoiding route errors that would prevent the formation from projecting onto the mirror.

She also had to be careful that the already cracked mirror wouldn't suffer further damage during transport.

Compared to Kist, who seed to be strolling casually, Lucy appeared quite dedicated and diligent.

When the two approached the projection point Saul had designed, the Storm Eye's effects began to manifest.

Kist's walking motion paused. Looking down, he saw that his two feet had sohow reversed direction.

They had beco heel-forward, toe-backward!

The tearing pain reached his brain a beat later, after he looked down and realized the change to his ankles.

But Kist showed no fear whatsoever. After a light laugh, he began adapting to the walking thod of lifting his heels first.

"How are you?" Lucy noticed Kist's change and, seeing his movent wasn't affected, asked in a low voice.

"Nothing... quite interesting, actually." Kist's smile widened, as if he had discovered sothing even more amusing.

"That's good." Lucy continued forward.

Her movents showed no change at all, as if Old Days Manor had no effect on her whatsoever.

Under everyone's tense attention, the two finally reached the designated position, and the Storm Eye didn't have any major eruptions during this ti.

Next, they just needed to wait for the two to position and secure the mirror, then they could let go and quickly escape the range of distortion effects.

Then Corey could organize personnel again to activate the formation and continue sealing the Storm Eye.

However, at this mont, new complications arose!

Just as he was about to turn around, Kist suddenly noticed Lucy raising one hand.

He turned back to see that healthy, pale-skinned fist, wrapped in lightning...

Smashing hard onto the mirror!
