Soone who was easily angered and defeated and could faint and fall sick after being provoked. How could such a person kill soone?

The more he thought about the matter, the more he found it not making sense.

This ti, Raine didn’t dare utter a single word but waited patiently for Logan to digest what he heard.

She still recalled how shocked she was when she learnt of that matter from Moses. It was very difficult to have Moses talk about it. If it wasn’t for her hacker friend who told her that he found Moses’s story on any anonymous forum and while he was looking into Briar found the na familiar, she wouldn’t have known that Briar was so capable of such deeds.

If Logan could deny the earlier accusations, then what about this one?

Although she didn’t have ti to look into the other friend, since by going there, she would alert Briar, who was currently at her ho village doing god knows what there. She planned to let this news reach Logan before Briar returned.

She was afraid that if Briar returned, she might use the sa tricks again and make her lose before she could make her point.

Seeing Logan so silent, she knew that he was affected and currently thinking about it. He had always been like that. Whenever he cos across sothing that stumps him, he would keep it to himself and during that ti, no one would know what he was thinking.

It was usually best to let him be and wait until his thoughts were sorted out.

And it seed that she didn’t have to wait for a long ti as Logan suddenly looked at him, his gaze piercing and dark, saying, "I want to et this Moses guy tomorrow. Bring him to !" his tone very cold, it sent shivers down her spine.

However, hearing that, Raine’s eyes lit up as she thought to herself that she just faced a breakthrough. As long as Logan ets with Moses, Briar’s fate would be sealed.

Briar might not end up in prison as she hoped, but she would definitely lose Logan without fail and that’s exactly what she wanted.

Logan snickered inwardly, seeing the calculative mind written all over her face, and rose to her feet, saying, "You find a place to et and we will talk! Without that, don’t bother to contact !" his words threatening. "And if you dare share what you just showed with anyone, whether Briar did this or not, I will make your family beco paupers in less than a day. And I an it!"

After saying that, he left without looking back, leaving Raine slumped and her back drenched in cold sweat. However, she was smiling.

Although she had been threatened, the fact that he didn’t do that without saying it showed that he at least cared.

Her delusional levels were currently at their highest and all she could think about was victory.

Without further delay, she took out her phone and made a call.

Ring. Ring. Ring.

The phone rang a couple of tis before a sleazy male voice answered, which made her feel nauseous but still forced herself to listen and talk.

[Beauty .... I didn’t expect you to call again so soon. Did it go well?]

"You can say that it did. He wants to et you tomorrow. Clear your day and you might earn so money!" she said, with a sly smile on her face, knowing how much that man loved money.

[Hohoho, is that so? Then great. I guess I will skip the casino for a few hours and see the man.]

Raine’s eyes brightened up when she heard that and cheerfully said, "you will be rewarded greatly!"

[I look forward to it!]

Raine hung up the call with a calculative gaze in her eyes.

’Briar, Briar. Who made you anger so many people? This ti, I didn’t fra you. Bla yourself for doing things without cleaning up! Tsk, tsk, that’s the problem of being uneducated!’ she shook her head as she thought about how easy it was to find all these in less than a week.

If only Logan had done the investigation before marrying her. Then wouldn’t they be here now?

*****

[Wifey] Logan looked at the contact on his phone, his finger hovering over the na, hesitant to dial the number and make a call.

He had been like that for a while now after leaving the club.

He knew that believing Raine was completely absurd, and yet there was that ’what if?’ in his heart, which made him hesitant.

He understood that if he believed this nonsense and Briar was found innocent of these accusations, then he would lose the woman who loved him so much.

The mother the children had always known and wanted to be with would be gone. The second that he questioned her and showed doubt, he would lose everything.

And to lose everything because of a woman who ca to him with ill intentions and caused Briar to fall ill and lose her mory. He could see how bad the ending would be.

Even his mother would have his head if he did sothing like that.

Briar had proved herself to be honest from day one, and he wanted to trust her. But to do so, it seed that he needed to et with Moses and hear face to face what kind of lies he was going to say.

Even if the matter would end up being truthful, he would need to find a way to deal with Moses and Raine so that the matter would never pop up ever again.

After all, why would he divorce the woman he loves just because she was being accused of killing a hooligan who wanted to rape her?

Talking about this bastard hooligan, if he truly existed. He would want to deal with him personally, if possible. After all, anyone who lusts after his woman is his enemy.

He would never tolerate anyone who thinks about anything regarding Briar.

She was his and his alone.

His eyes flickered with a maddening possessiveness as he put his phone on sleeping mode.

There was no need to trouble Briar. When she was less busy, she would call.

Before she cos back, he was going to deal with this matter smoothly and make sure to deal with Raine and her cronies once and for all.

With that in mind, he turned on the ignition and drove away.
