Kyle walked for a long ti in the inky darkness, feeling increasingly bored and restless. He needed to cross the barrier to step into the Celestial rank. Based on the knowledge he had acquired in his mind, his consciousness could return to his body the instant he admitted defeat and considered leaving this silent place.

However, he would never consider it, not even if he had to spend years here, for if he did, it would take him a full decade to have another chance to enter this place again.

Reaching the boundary of the Celestial realm was an arduous challenge, but if one reached it and failed, they would have to wait a long ti for another chance.

He wondered if this was the reason why Ceano never reached the Celestial rank. The second shadow general had undoubtedly failed to cross the boundary every ti.

At first, Kyle's footsteps were hurried, but after realizing that no matter how fast he walked, he couldn't reach the transparent boundary, his initial exhilaration and fervor simred down significantly, almost evaporating into thin air, and his pace transford into a leisurely stroll.

Well, he didn't have a lot of ti, but the ti he had was more than enough—there was no rush. He planned to remain here until he crossed that boundary.

The key reason he was so determined to cross the boundary in front of him and not leave was the countless possibilities that could unfold in the next decade. After all, who knew if Azazeal would let him live or if the universe would remain intact? He needed to grow stronger quickly.

If only he knew that because of the open Realm of the Dead, the universe currently had only two decades left to be saved, his determination to reach the Celestial rank would have been even stronger.

Kyle didn't have much regard for the universe and its inhabitants, but he had a lot of people he cherished. So he couldn't allow anything to happen to them.

As his thoughts drifted without concentrating on anything in particular, the silence around him remained unchanged, prompting him to stop gazing at the transparent barrier before him.

A deep sigh escaped his lips, followed by another as ti dragged on. He walked and walked, ultimately feeling as though he had to traverse an endless expanse.

After what felt like an eternity, he sank down onto the carpet of darkness with a frustrated expression etched on his face. Kyle swore to beat up whoever had devised this torturous place, with no apparent clue on what to do in sight. If only his body had been summoned here instead of his consciousness, he would have already blown this place up.

He sat there for a long ti, silently closing his eyes to ditate when he felt angry and agitated due to the silence, trying to prevent his emotions from affecting him. Gradually, all his feelings began to subside.

Maybe sensing the calmness radiating from his form, sothing finally stirred. While he was ditating with his eyes closed, a faint rustling sound echoed to his left.

Kyle opened his eyes and turned his gaze toward that direction, resting his elbow on one of his crossed legs to prop his chin on his hand for support. The darkness began to shift, gradually taking forms.

His ears twitched slightly when he heard giggles. Loud laughter of many won, a lodious sound that danced through the air like the tinkling of wind chis.

He frowned and pricked his ears in discomfort, narrowing his eyes as he tried to make sense of the unexpected noise.

Suddenly, a multitude of beautiful and captivating won of all sizes and shapes, dressed in alluring and revealing attire, and wearing exquisite gold and silver jewelry, erged from the darkness, transforming the space into a lively grand hall.

Their laughter was light and infectious, a blend of soft giggles and hearty chuckles that seed to create an air of joy.

A bewildered expression crossed his face because he realized he was seated in the midst of all of them at a large round table overflowing with drinks and food.

"What the fuck?"

He blinked when he noticed he had finally regained his voice and glanced down at the many grabby hands that clung to his arms with a blank expression.

The atmosphere buzzed with energy, the sound of clinking glasses and soft music filling the air. The two won groping him laughed shyly, but before their hands could wander further, a cold barrier materialized around him, sending them all away.

"...."

Everyone in the vicinity fell silent, their confused eyes fixed on him as he brushed off his arms with a dark expression.

He despised being touched by his own friends, let alone strangers. Yet, this group of won, who wore overpowering scents that grated on his nerves, touched him.

His hands halted as he realized he was dressed in a luxurious gold and dark silver outfit embroidered with intricate patterns, complented by several gold rings on his fingers that exuded power and wealth.

"What is happening? Did I fail to cross the boundary?"

A simple question, right? But who would have thought that all the won around him would begin to sob? One of them, with misty blue eyes, dabbed her tears and glanced at him with fluttering lashes.

"My... lord, did we make a mistake? Please don't treat us so coldly. You are all we have, and we all belong to you."

Her words were imdiately supported by many others as they all called him 'My lord', casting coquettish glances at him filled with worry and a mix of affection.

So of the won even bent down to reveal more of their pale skin, which was barely concealed by their revealing clothes, in an attempt to tempt him.

Kyle's eyebrow twitched. He had encountered a few won who showed interest in him, but never this type—so bold and brazen. Goosebumps flared on his arms, and he couldn't help but murmur.

"Illusion?"

It might have worked if it were soone else. In his situation, this type of illusion could only succeed if he wasn't lucid and had completely lost his mind.

The barrier he had erected around him expanded outward, causing all the won nearby to flinch and scurry away from the round table. He covered his ears with his energy, not wanting to hear their voices.

'Is this so kind of test to see if I am worthy to step through that boundary? A challenge to determine if I can control my desires in front of so many beauties?'

He pondered as he cast his emotionless gaze over all the won surrounding him, sending shivers down their spines.

He understood that attaining the Celestial rank wouldn't be an easy task, but he hadn't anticipated this specific type of test. But he chose not to question this approach. After all, desire and lust were emotions that not many could control.

It wasn't that Kyle lacked these emotions. Just like everyone else, he possessed them as well. He simply preferred the woman he loved above all others. If Yue had appeared instead of all these won, he was certain the illusion would have succeeded.

Thinking about Yue... He imdiately cleared his throat to divert his attention just as his thoughts wandered into dangerous territory, ignoring his surroundings.

Well, he couldn't be blad since the atmosphere was sowhat conducive to that. So, he contemplated sothing he shouldn't have—definitely not while he was inside an illusion.

Kyle waved his hand dismissively and thought using his power to tear apart this illusion. It worked, and everything around him shattered into fragnts. He was still seated in the darkness, facing the barrier that separated his side from the light.

Once again, he found himself unable to speak, and he pondered what would happen next. Just as this thought crossed his mind, another familiar rustling sound echoed, but this ti from his right.

He watched with a hint of amusent dancing in his eyes as the space around him transford again. In the next mont, he found himself seated on an opulent throne in an extravagant room brimming with every kind of gold, silver, and sparkling, colorful gems, along with divine and spiritual treasures one could possibly imagine.

Kyle's lips curled upward slightly... this was becoming increasingly interesting.

The treasures around him sparkled enticingly, and they could have even made him drool if he had seen them in his youth. He had been a bit greedy back then. Even then, he would have been cautious as hell.

"What next?"

He sent one lingering glance at the treasures and shattered the illusion without a second thought.

Again, another illusion erged. This ti, he beca a powerful leader of a massive army that revered him. He escaped that illusion, only to be t with another.

Soon, Kyle lost count of how just many illusions he had passed through, but just as he was growing weary, they finally stopped, causing him to release a big sigh in relief.
