Claire Prescott held a small fan, blowing it alternately on his neck, ensuring neither of them got too hot.

Yet.

Their tightly clasped hands beca covered with a thin layer of sweat.

Slowly.

They walked around the big courtyard and returned to the house, and Claire felt her stomach becoming much lighter.

Just as she found her pajamas from the cabinet and was about to take a shower, the man unknowingly ca up behind her.

Turning around, she was suddenly enveloped by his overwhelming presence, completely trapping her between him and the cabinet.

As he raised his hand, a bathrobe fell into his grasp.

Claire was montarily stunned and t his deep black eyes, "You... you want to shower first?"

"Together."

His tone wasn’t tentative, but with a deep, gentle voice that held a hint of coaxing.

Claire knew what he was getting at, but she still had so hang-ups about the bathroom, so she refused, "No, I need to wash my hair."

"I’ll help you."

His breath was just above, warmth radiating down, making her heart itch.

Looking at him, she said, "Then you can’t do anything else?"

"Anything else?"

With his intense, aningful gaze, it was as if a weak electric current had passed through her, leaving her with a tingling sensation.

Before she could answer, his arm looped around her waist, pulling her closer bit by bit, as he softly kissed her, murmuring, "I’ll be gentle."

The tiny kisses fell like raindrops, each separation and approach producing sounds that made her lips and heart tingle slightly.

It was as if she was enchanted, greedily wanting him to kiss her deeper.

In an inexplicable impulse, she embraced him passionately.

Keane Lowell curled his lips into a slight smile, carrying her into the bathroom.

... Two hours later ...

Claire sat on the sofa, wrapped in his arms, as he manipulated the hairdryer through her hair.

She lazily hugged his waist, leaning against him, while his fingers gently teased the top of her head. The comforting scent at her nose made her feel as if she’d fallen into a soft cloud, enveloped by warmth and ease.

It seed.

Their relationship beca clearer with their daily tender interactions, and his gentleness beca tangible, making her want to indulge in it, unwilling to part from him for even a mont.

...

...

Because Iris Yates returned to the country, friends arranged a gathering, set for Saturday night.

Before leaving work, Claire received ssages urging her to co, and she was ntioned several tis in the group chat, as if concerned she wouldn’t show up.

So, after finishing with the last patient, she started packing up to leave.

The location was a hilltop party venue.

The entire villa was booked by them.

Claire arrived just as night fell.

The white walls reflected the shadow of bamboo, making the entire wall look like a dynamic ink painting, elegant and leisurely.

Stepping through the gate, she saw soone sitting on the swing.

Recognizing the person, Claire stopped in her tracks, questioning whether she was in the wrong place.

Upon noticing her, Yvonne Lancaster’s eyes lit up instantly, smiling brightly as she approached, "Claire, you finally ca, I’ve been waiting for you for so long."

Hearing this.

Claire realized she hadn’t made a mistake, and asked her, "Why are you here?"

"A friend of yours is interning at my brother’s company, I heard you all had a gathering tonight, so I tagged along." Yvonne said, "Am I not welco?"

"Do you even need to ask?" Saying that, Claire sidestepped her and walked towards the villa.

Yvonne didn’t mind her coldness, sticking to her like glue, following her into the villa.

At this mont.

In the living room, five people were scattered around, both n and won.

On the sofa, two people had their faces covered in strips of white paper.

They were having such a good ti that they didn’t even notice her coming in at first.

Claire walked over to the group playing cards.

Soone quickly noticed her and called out, "Hey, the little doctor finally ca."

Seeing them playing ’Fight the Landlord’, Claire couldn’t help but comnt, "Aren’t you guys a bit old to be playing the ga where you stick papers on your face?"

Perhaps feeling embarrassed by her remark, the two hurriedly tore the strips off their faces.

"We were just waiting for you to co see how childish they looked." There was no paper on his face, indicating he hadn’t lost.

Claire smiled, "Seems like you’re having a good run tonight."

"It’s alright." He shifted the topic, "What’s been going on these past few months? No matter how much we called, you wouldn’t co, only Iris’ invitation worked to get you out."

Claire settled into a single sofa chair, casually saying, "I’ve been busy dating."

This statent caused quite a stir among them, as it seed out of character for her, and others gathered in for the gossip.

Soone didn’t believe it, "Really?"

"Why would I lie to you?" Her hand fell naturally onto the armrest, exuding a sense of relaxation.

Soon, a friend noticed the golden ring on her hand, staring intently, "Is it real?"

"Yes." Claire nodded patiently, casually eating grapes from the side table.

Under their incredulous gazes, Claire asked, "Where did Iris go?"

"She went outside to take a call, her ntor called, dical students have it tough, can’t even enjoy their holidays peacefully." The conversation shifted back to her, "Out having fun, how co you didn’t bring your partner to et us?"

Actually, she did invite him.

But he said he had to return to the estate as his family needed sothing from him.

Claire replied, "He just happens to be busy today, maybe next ti."

For the next few minutes, the focus remained on her and her partner, so as not to scare them, she ambiguously introduced Keane Lowell, steering clear of his family background.

Then.

Iris returned from her call, exchanged pleasantries, and asked, "Is Zara Leighton coming? She’s been replying to ssages."

A friend responded, "I’ll nudge her to see."

Another person shifted their attention to Claire, "Claire, you’re the closest with her, give her a call."

Upon hearing the na "Zara Leighton," Claire’s expression darkened, attempting to remain inconspicuous, but she was still brought up.

After a pause.

She responded calmly, "No need, since I’m here, she wouldn’t dare to co."

"What do you an?"

"Exactly what it sounds like."

Noticing her off-color expression and tone, they surmised so of the situation, asking, "Are you and she on bad terms?"

Claire turned her face away, not responding.

Sensing her discomfort, they tactfully dropped the topic.

Then Iris said, "Let’s not wait for her then, let’s start the al."

Everyone moved to the dining table.

Yvonne quietly followed Claire’s steps, sitting beside her.

They were all peers, either new to the workforce or students deep into their studies, so conversations flowed without barriers, and the atmosphere was naturally relaxed.
