Chapter 7: Chapter 7 The Woman Who Fell in Love at First Sight (1) Chapter 7: Chapter 7 The Woman Who Fell in Love at First Sight (1) Percy Stanton kept his eyes fixed straight ahead on the street, just slightly raising his chin and pointing in a certain direction. Raymond Thompson quickly found Percy’s mobile phone in that direction, skillfully unlocked it, turned on Wi-Fi, then took out his own phone, connected to the Wi-Fi, and downloaded WhatsApp.
During a gap in his driving, Percy turned to look at his son and was stunned to find him using such an “advanced” software. However, he calmly asked, “What are you downloading WhatsApp for? It’s not sothing a child should play with.”
While Percy was speaking, Raymond had already created a WhatsApp account. He then opened the ‘People Nearby’ feature and searched for a long ti but he couldn’t find Isabel Smith’s profile. With a slight hint of disappointnt, he pocketed his phone and returned Percy’s phone to its original place. He said glumly, “Father, I fell in love with a woman at first sight today.”
Upon hearing Raymond’s words, Percy abruptly slamd on the brakes, causing the car to jerk to a halt. However, he then expressionlessly stepped on the gas pedal again and gently drove the car while saying to his son, “Do you understand what love at first sight ans?”
Despite being young, Raymond could detect the contempt in Percy’s words. He pouted, showing a hint of defiance, and confidently said, “Of course I understand. I fell in love with Sister Isabel at first glance.”
Isabel?
Percy frowned slightly and asked, “What’s her surna?”
Raymond had a good mory. Even after half a day, he could still rember Isabel Smith’s full na, so he quickly answered, “Smith, Isabel Smith, she lives next door to us.”
So, it is her… Percy’s expression appeared sowhat deep and contemplative. He pursed his lips and did not speak.
Raymond, however, thought that his father had agreed with his ‘love at first sight’ and imdiately said excitedly, “Father, Sister Isabel is very pretty, just a bit older than . In a few years, once I’ve grown up, I can officially be with her. Father, once I beco familiar with Sister Isabel and our relationship stabilizes, I’ll bring her to you for your approval.”
While speaking, Raymond looked at himself in the rearview mirror from many angles. His small face turned slightly red, and he added with a hint of pride, “Father, Sister Isabel praised as a handso young boy. That ans Sister Isabel likes too, right?”
Percy turned his head, glanced at his son who was not yet up to his waist in height, and said, “Raymond, I think you’re thinking too much.”
Raymond harrumphed and turned away, dissatisfied with his father’s dismissive attitude. He looked out the car window and muttered quietly, “Father, I know you’re just jealous of because I found soone I like before you did.”
Percy’s face beca sowhat serious, but he didn’t say anything, as he didn’t want to argue with his son.
However, he was surprised at how his son had used the word “like”, a term that indicated high emotional intelligence.
Speaking of ‘like’, Percy couldn’t help but think of Isabel Smith, the woman whom Raymond had ‘fallen in love with at first sight’.
Originally, he should have returned to Ravenwood City two months ago to take over the position of CEO of Thompson Empire Group. However, it was precisely because of her appearance that he had put off going back to his hotown.
In fact, for the past five years that he had stayed in Bellshire under the pretext of waiting for Raymond’s mother, he had been waiting for her…the Miss of the Smith Family who six years ago persistently pursued him and then suddenly disappeared.
Guarding an empty city and waiting for an old lover. Six years, neither long nor short, however, the image of the young girl who once wasn’t so deeply imprinted in his mind had gradually beco clearer.
