The Heretic Goddess Athena, pursuing the serpent, had arrived in Okukozo.
"Seriously? What a coincidence," Erica muttered, her lips twitching. She and Liliana were two of the accomplices who had prevented Athena from retrieving the Gorgoneion. Encountering the goddess here seed like a death sentence.
"Indeed. You emanate an aura similar to the Godslayer up ahead." Athena's voice was a sweet, girlish soprano, her speech pattern archaic.
Her eyes, dark as night, focused on Erica.
"It's an honor to et you." Erica said.
"We are knights of the Elusive King" they added.
"That title... I've heard of it. The strongest Devil King on Earth. So, the 'Serpent' has fallen into the hands of the most troubleso Godslayer," Athena murmured, looking towards Okukozo.
"It's strange. Just stepping into the territory where the 'Serpent' resides, Athena's wisdom warned of mortal danger. But just now, that strange sense of danger vanished. What could it be?"
Liliana, watching Athena mutter to herself, felt a bead of sweat trickle down her forehead. She cautiously asked Erica, "Erica, are all gods so oblivious to the presence of others?"

"You two! Lead the way," Athena commanded, turning towards them.

Liliana channeled her magical energy, activating her "Telepathy" spell. As the connection was established, Erica quickly asked, "What's going on, Liliana? I can use magic, but I can't control my body!"
"That goddess is one of the oldest Earth Mother Goddesses, a symbol of feminism. She likely possesses dominion over won."
"What an unreasonable power!"
As the girls grappled with their inner turmoil, the two of them and the goddess approached the gate of the Kasugano residence.
A figure was already waiting there.
"Oh! As expected," Athena muttered.
"Well then, first introductions. My na is Athena. Now we are acquainted," she said, her eyes narrowing slightly.
"Godslayer of the East, I wish to know your na. As a wager for this ancient 'Serpent', we should at least know each other's nas," Athena said, her voice cold and indifferent.
"Kasugano Haru. You can call Haru, Goddess Athena. If you defeat , I'll hand over the Serpent," Haru said. With a flick of his right wrist, Erica and Liliana regained control of their bodies and quickly retreated, giving the goddess and the Devil King space to face off.

Within Haru's soul, the egg pulsed silently, annihilating the power of death and extracting its inherent rules.
