Zhou Bai said in surprise, "Aren’t you very afraid?"

"Anyway, if I get killed, you can revive by reversing ti," Christina said. "This way, I die once and you still have a chance to die, so we can explore more places."

As she spoke, she took off the gemstone around her neck, closed her eyes, and said, "Here I go!"

Zhou Bai assured her, "Don’t worry, even if there are problems, Ti Reverse can fix it."

Then, a white cat drifted out from between Zhou Bai’s eyebrows. Squinting its eyes shut and trembling, it entered the bathroom stall and leaped onto the toilet.

"It seems like nothing’s wrong?" Christina slowly opened her eyes and looked around. There was nothing unusual.

She looked down at the toilet and almost lost all her fur.

Then, she saw a face that seed sowhat distorted, right at the bottom of the toilet, staring up at her with wide eyes.

"Ah!"

In a scream, Christina tried to escape, but suddenly, a hand thrust out from inside the toilet and grabbed her.

Zhou Bai tried to save Christina, but the strength of that hand seed endless. No matter how hard he struggled, it made no difference. Even when Christina tried to retreat to her ntal realm, turning into a whiff of smoke, she was still pulled back.

With a whoosh, Christina had vanished inside the toilet.

Zhou Bai watched the scene in shock, suppressing the urge to imdiately reverse ti, forcing himself to stay calm.

"That arm that grabbed Christina... it’s so wrong, that kind of power, I’ve never even felt it from Teacher Kuang Tu. No, it’s not so much a power as it seems like an absolute rule, where being grabbed ans you cannot escape at all," Zhou Bai thought, massaging his temple.

Zhou Bai shook his head and tried attacking the toilet and bathroom from a distance, but it was as ineffective as when he attacked the window.

Just then, there were footsteps sounding from outside.

Zhou Bai crouched low near the door, listening as the footsteps drew near, accompanied by two won’s voices.

However, their voices were husky and dull, as if they had ripped their vocal cords, and ca faintly from the darkness.

"Did you hear? Nurse Hu died."

"I thought Nurse Hu was on leave?"

"That’s what the director concealed. Nurse Hu died on her shift."

"Really? How did she die?"

"No one knows. They said she disappeared while making rounds that night. The next morning, soone turned on the Water Dragon and found hair flowing out. But when they checked the pipes, they found nothing."

Zhou Bai heard the figures in the dark and shuddered, "Are people chatting? Are they alive?"

"Indeed, since the bathroom changed just now, this hospital has been completely different."

Zhou Bai thought about how he still had Ti Reverse and his well-trained body. Not seizing the remaining ti to act recklessly would be a disservice to these conditions and to Christina’s sacrifice.

So, as the voices grew closer, almost to the bathroom door, he suddenly rushed out and crawled towards the direction of the sounds.

But sweeping the area with his Primordial Spirit revealed nothing but emptiness.

No, it wasn’t completely empty. Zhou Bai looked at the ground: two pairs of cloth shoes were there, one in front of the other, as if they had stopped halfway through walking.

Zhou Bai was startled, "Where are the people? How co there are only shoes, no people?"

Zhou Bai didn’t say a word. He swept his gaze toward the other directions of the corridor.

He then saw the originally pitch-black corridor suddenly lit up.

Row after row of green wall lamps flickered dimly, turning the entire corridor a ghastly green, extraordinarily eerie.

Under the green light, Zhou Bai could see that the walls around him were similarly pristine and clean, showing none of the previous burn marks and signs of decay.

"This feeling... it’s not good," Zhou Bai frowned slightly, glancing at his watch. There were five minutes left.

He turned around, intending to go check the hospital’s main door to confirm if he could leave this place.

But he had hardly taken a few steps when he suddenly heard the sound of footsteps coming from behind him.

Zhou Bai furrowed his brow, turned around, and saw nothing.

Except for the two pairs of cloth shoes he had previously seen on the ground.

He took a few more steps, and the footsteps sounded again.

Zhou Bai imdiately turned around, staring intently at the cloth shoes on the ground, "Have they gotten closer? Are these shoes following ?"

With a thought, he began walking backward, his eyes fixed on the shoes, and noticed that they stopped moving.

Then he turned around again, and the footsteps resud.

This ti, Zhou Bai decided to ignore them and walked briskly toward the grand entrance of the first floor. Yet, he heard the steps behind him growing faster and louder.

Simultaneously, a trendous fear welled up inside him, making him involuntarily turn his head.

There he saw the two pairs of cloth shoes right behind him, now sared with blood, leaving a trail of bloody footprints on the floor.

"This is bad, it feels extrely bad," Zhou Bai thought to himself. "Is it like that person in the toilet just now? If I continue to let these things follow, will sothing bad happen?"

"I’m not afraid to die, but with each cooldown lasting ten minutes, I’d better cherish my opportunities."

Thinking this, Zhou Bai kept his gaze on the two pairs of shoes and walked backward.

He then saw the shoes he was staring at remain motionless, no longer following him.

Zhou Bai breathed a sigh of relief and walked down the stairs.

However, as he descended the staircase and the shoes left his sight, the footsteps sounded again like a death knell.

In that instant, Zhou Bai’s scalp tingled, but, empowered by Ti Reverse, rage rose within him, and he marched forward boldly, grabbing the blood-stained shoes and tearing them fiercely.

The shoes turned into countless fragnts in the blink of an eye, vanishing into the air.

Zhou Bai took several deep breaths, resud walking, and this ti, no sound ensued. He occasionally turned back, with a look of horrified confusion.

"Is it really gone?"

"What on earth was that?"

"Why couldn’t I forcefully handle the person in the toilet earlier, but I could tear these shoes by hand?"

Zhou Bai shook his head, sprinted wildly back towards the first floor, determined to seize the chance to verify so things, even if it ant death.

Suddenly, his eyes flicked to the side, and he saw a pale face pressed against the corner of the wall, staring right at his location.
