Chi Rong didn’t say much. He only said that Lin Qianru wanted to talk to Mo Roulan.
However, looking at his face, Mo Roulan thought that perhaps her mother was angry. Knowing that, anger was not good for her health, she told Chi Rong that she would manage her mother and he should go to his uncle’s side.
Chi Rong nodded his head. He didn’t tell Mo Roulan that it was actually he who was upset. Because Lin Qianru seed to believe that it was he who told Mo Roulan about her disease.
No matter how much he said otherwise, she didn’t seem to believe him which made him upset.
But since he didn’t want to fight with her, he silently exited the room.
After leaving Mo Roulan to take care of his wife, Chi Rong went to see if his uncle was alright.
Mo Roulan stepped inside the hospital room and saw her mother looking toward her as if she had been waiting for her.
Her mother’s face didn’t have any expression which actually scared Mo Roulan.
"Mom..."
She smiled forcefully when she approached her mother but her mother still looked expressionless.
"Does Mo Chen also know?"
Lin Qianru asked only this question and Mo Roulan imdiately shook her head.
"Not at all, Mom. I won’t let him know. He will then insist on coming here which would disrupt his studies. And he anyway can’t do much by being here."
Mo Roulan tried to make her mother believe. Lin Qianru believed her and was relieved to know that Mo Chen didn’t know anything.
"How did you co to know?"
Just a few monts ago, she blad Chi Rong without believing him. But when he suddenly left, she seed to realize her mistake and felt upset with herself.
But she was confused as to how Mo Roulan ca to know if Chi Rong didn’t tell her anything.
Mo Roulan was silent for a few monts. She didn’t want to tell her mother about Shen Yiling because then her mother would wonder why Shen Yiling would do all this.
It was a long story that would bring out many things that her mother didn’t know about. So she lied.
"One of my friend had also co here to visit her relative. She saw you and called to ask about you. I was shocked and imdiately asked her which hospital she was talking about. After knowing everything, I ca here."
Lin Qianru however frowned when she heard her daughter and asked
"Which friend? How does she know ?"
Mo Roulan went blank for a mont before she said hurriedly
"Mom, It is Qi Ren. Don’t you rember? She saw you with and asked the next day about you. She knows you but you don’t know her."
Lin Qianru couldn’t ask any more questions when she heard this. However, guilt filled her heart when she realized that she had blad Chi Rong without even knowing anything. Perhaps it was the irritation as she had been staying in the hospital all along which she didn’t like at all, she didn’t even want to hear him.
But that was very wrong of her.
Chi Rong had been by her side all along and she behaved like that with him.
"Mom, what are you thinking?"
Lin Qianru ca out of her thoughts and looked at her worried daughter. She smiled forcefully and held her hand.
"Mom is alright, Roulan. Don’t worry. You should not have co here. What can you do here?"
Mo Roulan had been worried that her mother would overreact but seeing her so calm she was already so relieved. But now, when she heard her words she frowned and declared.
"I will stay here until your treatnt gets completed and you get completely fine."
Lin Qianru frowned more deeply and opened her mouth to speak but before she could do so, Mo Roulan said
"I am not going back, Mom and that’s final."
She would not be able to focus on anything if she returned knowing her mother was sick.
Seeing her so firm, Lin Qianru could only sigh and say
"Then take care and don’t worry about too much."
She was actually worried that her daughter would be scared when she would undergo her weekly chemotherapy.
It was a very painful process and she didn’t wish that her daughter would witness it.
Unaware of her mother’s thoughts, Mo Roulan let her lie down on the bed and asked her to rest. In such a small ti, her mother had undergone so many emotions. She must rest for so ti.
No matter how worried Lin Qianru was she was still happy to see her daughter after so many days. She also decided to apologize to Chi Rong when he would return.
Amidst all these thoughts and under the effect of the dicine, she went into a deep sleep and Mo Roulan stayed by her side all the ti.

Shen Zhilan no longer cared about Shen Enterprises after hearing what Wang Weimin said to her on the call and Shen Yiling told her. She booked the first flight to New York and packed everything she thought she would need in only half an hour.
Grandfather Shen was confused to see her in so much hurry but she didn’t tell him anything clearly.
After a long flight, she was finally in New York and directly went to the hotel Wang Weimin was staying in.
There she found her daughter Shen Yiling. Without even resting for a single minute, she asked her
"Where is your father? Tell him I am here. We need to have a conversation."
Did Wang Weimin think that she would just let him go like this after so many years? He was very very wrong.
Shen Yiling could see very clearly that her mother was boiling with anger and resentnt. She had achieved what she wanted but she also needed to use her mother for the right thing.
"Mom, why are you looking for dad? It is not dad’s fault. Dad had stayed away from that woman for so many years. Why do you think that he suddenly wishes to go back? That woman must have said or done sothing to him for him to behave like this."
Shen Zhilan went silent at her daughter’s words. Seeing that her mother was thinking about whatever she said, Shen Yiling smiled and continued
"Mom, we should go and tell that woman to stay away from Dad."
"You are right."
Shen Zhilan whispered coldly.
And Shen Yiling finally achieved what she had wanted all along.
