[ Approaching: Leading Cheetah Ming Tao!]
Hope simred on Mira’s face at the notification on the screen before her. She had never felt happier for a ssage from system. Mira turned around to look for her husband.
She saw him get near, soone was by his side but the person was so short that Mira only saw the top of the person’s head. "Darling!" Mira called, a smile forming on her face.
Just then, a hand held onto her ankle and pulled her body down. Mira fell. She was given very little ti to process what just happened and worry about her baby when the figure who pulled her down rolled her body on the ground so her back rested on the floor and got on top of her. Mu Yang trapped Mira’s body between his and the ground then held her chin in his hand and brought his face to hers, securing a forced kiss.
This was when Ming Tao approached the river. And the first thing he saw was another man, one he detested with every fibre of his body, on top of his wife who was naked. And from the look of it, they were being intimate.
Rage. It was the first thing he felt in that mont. It consud him. Ate up his soul from inside out. Ming Tao snapped into a complete shut as a primal hunting instinct kicked in. He wanted the blood of the man who was on his wife dripping out of his mouth and. . . . part of him craved her own blood too. He shifted.
Mira did not know when it occurred. It happened so fast for her eyes to see. She saw a spotted beast by her side then the next thing, she felt the weight of Mu Yang leave her body.
The sound of flesh colliding on the ground echoed in her ears. Now, there was an angry looking Cheetah facing down at her, his teeth elongated and right in her face.
"Ming Tao." Mira called his na softly. Her body shivered beneath his terrifying form. She felt his ravaged breath fan her face and his claws sunk into the hard soil. In this instant, Mira recalled the words he said to her at the dying lake but her heart still hamred against her chest. Not out of fear, but out of shock. It was her first ti witnessing such raw strength from him and it happened so fast.
Ming Tao was pissed, a battle of rage and fury played in his mind while he stood there, her naked form trapped beneath him. The cheetah slowly backed away. His face leered closer to the floor and he grabbed onto sothing with his teeth. The cloak. He flung it on top of Mira and stayed away from her.
Mira secured the cloak over her body to hide her nakedness. Her eyes trailed to the portion of the ground Mu Yang was at then at Ming Tao. The person standing by his side made her brows furrow. It was her annoying sister. Mira could not even catch a break from seeing her everywhere.
Hye Yang muttered sothing. Mira barely heard what she said but it did not sound like a tongue they were fluent in within these parts. Ming Tao purred loudly by Hye Yang’s side. The anger on his face was gone and replaced with a calr look. Hye Yang drifted her hand lower and let it rest on him. Ming Tao let her pat him.
Mira felt sothing in her stomach twist. She was the only one allowed to stroke her skinny cat that way and seeing soone else do it drove her insane. Now she knew what Jia Hao felt when other kids ca and rested on her boobs. It was just not ant to be.
Mira tried to stand but her body was glued to the ground. Not literally, she felt a cramping that made he stay in one place. She wanted to curse Mu Yang for handling her roughly, a hit on his balls was not enough punishnt for what he did to her.
"Ming Tao." Mira called, the first ti she spoke since he arrived. Ming Tao saw Mu Yang on top of her yet did not say a thing after getting rid of him. She was scared of that. All he did was hand her a cloak then go to et her sister. She could not even tell if he witnessed the entire scene or only caught them both in that uncomfortable pose. She wanted to find out. She needed to explain to him and tell him the truth. Hye Yang was evil but Mu Yang was no saint and Mira could not help but think they planned this together. It would only make sense considering the timing Ming Tao arrived with Hye Yang. "I. . ." Mira continued. She was cut short by her sister.
"If you wanted to be shaful, Mira, at least be so outside the clan. Do not disrespect your husband that way by bringing a man to his territory to be promiscuous with." Hearing Hye Yang speak sent fire through her body. Mira felt her blood boil with uncontrolled anger.
So this was it? Hye Yang’s antic to cause a stir between and Ming Tao? Hye Yang should try sothing new, her old ways was becoming a bore, Mira said in her head.
"Dare lie about again and I will slit your tongue out myself." Mira blurted out. Hye Yang did not flinch one bit. She looked way too confident. Ming Tao was by her side, right underneath her palm and he was easing up to her touch.
"But I did not lie. The man you were with is lying on the ground and in pain from your husband’s reaction to your promiscuity. I knew you loved Mu Yang ever since you were young but I truly hoped you had changed and fully devoted to your husbands. What will your children say to know their own mother was a two faced wench who only had them because the one she truly loved was away?" A smile curled on Hye Yang’s lips, she looked like soone who had won and Mira could not understand what it was exactly. Everything about this was eerie. The calmness of Ming Tao and Hye Yang, Mu Yang’s writhing in pain on the ground and him keeping quiet to Hye Yang’s dangerous claim that him and Mira had snuck out to hook up. And the brute force Ming Tao used to push Mu Yang away that sohow ended with just a few wounds.
"What would the beast people think?" Hye Yang’s voice made Mira snap out of the thoughts that plagued her mind. "How would your other husbands react to this abomination? And would your status as the mother of the tribe keep you secure from the Lion King’s rage? Would that title keep you safe at all in the presence of the power above the hierarchy?"
Mira’s face dropped. Her eyes imdiately widened as she caught on what was going on. The mories dropped onto her like a bomb as the laws replayed in her head. Her sister was way more cunning than she realised. Hye Yang was trying o make Mira lose her status as the bonded mate with her husbands e could claim it for herself.
Since Mira did not die as Hye Yang wanted, Hye Yang wanted to take that title by force. And she could. It all made sense now. She ca to the cheetah clan and caused the destruction of the farm. She brought Mu Yang here and they planned this entire thing so the Mighty Cheetah would witness it. Hye Yang needed a witness outside herself and Ming Tao’s teeth marks on Mu Yang was all the proof needed to validate her false claim.
Nothing would happen to Mu Yang, whether or not he was involved with her, he held no special place in the beast world. But she did. And she had discarded her duty for so long while chasing him.
Mira wanted to laugh, a bittersweet laughter but she could not even do it, her body trembled with pain. With Mu Yang’s finger marks all over her skin, it would be an easy way to put the bla on her. The narrative of the story could be changed to look as if she forced him. After all, there was not a single being in the beast world that did not know of her foolish love for the fox.
Curse you, old owner of this body, and curse you Hye Yang, Mira stated in her mind. She did not want to say anything so it would not be used against her later. Hye Yang made a lot of planning into this and it showed.
Mira forced her body up the ground. She was worried about her baby but did not want to give Hye Yang the slightest knowledge that she was pregnant. "And what makes you so confident in your tale?" Mira asked.
"Your husband." Hye Yang said. "You made him mine to a default with this little mistake."
