"Who is he?" Mi Chenxuan asked, his eyes piercing as he stared at her.
"A vile woman!" The young girl slamd her fist against the car window. "Let out! She killed my dad, I want to kill her!"
"Are you certain she killed your dad?"
"I’m certain! Everything that happened tonight is her doing. She killed my dad to protect herself."
"Describe her appearance to . I’ll catch her for you and bring her to you so you can deal with her however you like!"
The young girl squinted slightly at him. "Talk is cheap. What’s the use of telling you anything?"
"Not telling is even more useless!" Mi Chenxuan replied as he sat down, leisurely crossing his legs.
The young girl took a long ti before looking up at him. Seeing that he ignored her, sweat began to bead on her forehead. "That woman’s passport says her na is Xiao Ling. She lives in Cabin District, No. 108."
Mi Chenxuan pressed the earpiece in his ear. "Fourth Brother?"
"Copy!"
After hearing Tong Airui’s voice, Mi Chenxuan turned off the earpiece and looked at the young girl. "I’ve already sent soone to take care of her for you. Now, tell , what’s the purpose of all your scheming?"
"Why should I tell you?" The young girl snorted and turned her head away.
Mi Chenxuan wasn’t angry. He smirked at her mischievously. "Didn’t you co here to confess?"
"I ca to confess so I could hand over the jewels and valuables—nothing else, I know nothing."
"Don’t want revenge anymore?" Mi Chenxuan raised his eyebrows slightly. "Do you know Yu?"
The young girl froze, then tried to stay calm as she looked out the window.
Mi Chenxuan narrowed his eyes. "Ling!"
The young girl stared at Mi Chenxuan in shock. "How do you know I’m Ling?!"
"I guessed, and turns out I was right!"
"Where’s Yu? You just ntioned Yu—you must know where she is. Tell !"
Mi Chenxuan smirked and chuckled. "We trade. Answer my question first, and I’ll tell you about Yu."
Ling’s tears welled up in her eyes. "The people at the base are either dead or have fled. I can’t find Yu. You tell first—how is she now? Is she doing well? Then I’ll answer your question."
Mi Chenxuan responded seriously, "She is doing well."
Ling sniffled, "My dad told he wanted to co to the island to relax. But after we arrived, I noticed he was acting all secretive and constantly disappearing. So I followed him and discovered that woman, Xiao Ling, was also on the island.
I eavesdropped on their conversation and found out my dad and Xiao Ling ca here to kill a woman nad Yi Luowa. Xiao Ling even said that after the deed was done, she would marry my dad.
Seeing how thrilled my dad was made furious. Because of this, I had a massive argunt with him, and later, I ran off to the seaside...I wanted to kill myself. I missed my mom."
Mi Chenxuan took a step closer to the tal bars. "This is not the ti to be thinking about your mom! Why do they want to kill Yi Luowa?"
Ling halted her sobs. "Xiao Ling said Yi Luowa cannot live in this world. Her existence would disrupt her master’s plan."
"What plan? And who is her master?" Mi Chenxuan narrowed his eyes slightly. Could this be linked to Fourth Sister-in-law’s background?
"She didn’t say, and I don’t know."
Mi Chenxuan ran his fingers through his hair in frustration. "Go on, how many of you ca this ti, and what were each of your roles?"
"Four people in total. Xiao Ling brought along a man."
On the other side, Tong Airui relaxed in front of his computer. Four people: one had been killed by their own, one had surrendered, a sniper was already locked in, and the last one was Xiao Ling. With these clear targets, things would get easier.
Inside the police car, Mi Chenxuan glared at Ling with a dark expression. "You hate that woman so much—why did you help her?"
"Because she promised that if I helped her accomplish this, she would leave my dad." Ling lowered her head, her voice barely audible. "She said that if I caused a big enough commotion on this side, drawing everyone’s attention, her chances of successfully killing Yi Luowa would increase."
"Foolish! She promised your dad she’d marry him once the deed was done and promised you she’d leave him. And you still believe her?"
"But at least it’s better to have a promise than nothing!"
Mi Chenxuan pointed a finger at her. "I won’t argue this point with soone who lacks intelligence. Now, let’s talk about what’s inside you—the OW. Who has the detonator?"
Ling hesitated for a mont. "My dad has it."
"Your dad is ruthless enough! He didn’t even spare his own daughter."
Ling glared at him. "This is just how we operate!"
"Inhuman!" Mi Chenxuan cursed under his breath and pressed his earpiece. "Fourth Brother, have soone locate the detonator."
